Most Exciting NFL Player
Sep 24, 2007 | 2:08PM | report this

The most exciting player in the NFL was not Michael Vick.  It is not now Terrell Owens or Randy Moss.  It is not LaDanien Tomlinson and certainly not this year.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are exciting players, but they’re not the most exciting.  Vince Young is an up and coming exciting player, but it’s not him either.

The most exciting player in the NFL today and over the last few years has been Antwaan Randle El now of the Washington Redskins.  Not only was Randle El an All-American Quarterback at Indiana University where he competed for the Heisman Trophy, he also played basketball under the Bobby Knight legend.ra

Randle El had the most exciting play in Super XL becoming the first wide receiver to throw a touchdown pass when he connected with Hines Ward on a 43-yard fake reverse.  He was a devastating and key ingredient to the Steelors Super Bowl year.

Unfortunately, he now plays for the Washington Redskins, a team that is all mixed up from the top down.  Watching the Skins give away a game to the limping Giants and inconsistent Eli Manning yesterday was pretty pitiful.

Randle El was awesome.

Woah, Woah, Woah there. I saw Randle El for all his years in Pittsburgh, and quite simply, he was never on the field enough to be the most exicting player in the leauge. Defiantly provided the thrills, his punt return against Cleveland in the Wild Card Game in '02 single handily kept the Steelers in the game, and the pass in the Super Bowl was just picture perfect, and one of my memorable moments watching football. But, he was a solid player that could multi-task well, but most exicting, I wouldn't go that far. Plus, the Redskins seriously overpayed him.

I'll give you that, although I would also look at Fast Willy too. Shame that El couldn't reach terms with Pgh, but that is the nature of the game now. But El wopuld have rec'd a lot of competition from Holmes. Fuzz

Michael Vick wasn't the most exciting player, but he was the most overrated player in NFL history.

As for the most exciting, Randle El is a pretty exciting guy but I would have to say Devin Hester is absolutely electrifying and Chad Johnson is exciting for his abilities and the countless creative touchdown celebrations he pulls out. Then again, you can't go wrong with any of them.

Devin Hester and Ocho Cinco don't throw passes. Though, both are exciting.

Can you imagine what a career Randle El would have had he gone to Green Bay? Oh well, the Skins do pay well.
