I am not an Adam "Pac Man" Jones fan at all. I think that Roger Goodell was justified in his decision with Jones but now I wonder if Goodell opened up the door for a major appeal. Jones has already appealed so does this alter Goodell's original ruling and make him change the suspension as a result of Jones' appeal?
We all know that Jones was suspended for an entire season related to the multiple off the field incidents he has been linked to. Tank Johnson was not only guilty, he spent two months in jail and now he is reprimanded by the NFL with an 8 game suspension. Where is the justification in that. I am not an apologist or making excuses for Jones but Jones has not been convicted nor has he served two months in jail. Now I wrote an earlier post about it shouldn't matter about Jones involvement because his actions and involvement justified enough activity for the NFL to interject (since the Titans did not).
The argument now becomes subject of suspension length. How does a player who plead guilty of housing loaded automatic weapons, served two months in prison and violated his probation only get 8 games? If I am Jones lawyer (another #### that I am not fond of either) I am on the phone right now with the Player's Association asking what the hell is going on.
Am I the only one who thinks that Johnson should also receive a season long suspension? Enlighten me with your thoughts.
Avid sports fan. Have a gorgeous wife and four beautiful children. Blessed with all that I have. Sports are what I look forward to every single day. I follow almost all sports to some extent but I love playing Fantasy sports. I do have favorite teams and players but fantasy has allowed me to be more of a fan of the players than just the teams. I enjoy the interaction with bloggers even if we are in disagreement. Live in LaVergne, TN which is located just outside of Nashville.
