IT'S TIME TO HUNT....IT'S TIME TO RAVENIZE or IT'S TIME to HORSESHOE
Jan 08, 2007 | 8:35PM | report this

With the AFC Divisional Playoff about to take off this Saturday at the ATM stadium in Baltimore, it would be derelict not to talk about this MUST SEE, MUST TALK ABOUT derby between the horseshoes players and those wild black birds. The "enjeu"" is complex but may be viewed by some CONNOISEURS a very simplistic undertaking. Colts (13-4) for now and Ravens (13-3) before this game will determine which of them has been more consistent record-wise.

These terrible birds are determined to smash everything, to go to a hunting trip spilling droppings all over the stakes used by  Colts.

To parody their game, Peyton Manning is going to use his horseshoes acumen to toss the ball at two facing stakes metaphorically called Marvin Harrisson, Wayne or Joseph Addai but Ray or Jamal Lewis and/or Clarence Moore/Derrick Mason are going to be the China wall thru which these tossing won't be able to go.......

Keep in mind I do not have personally any dog in this fight even to help these crazy birds in their hunting endeavor, my son has...He is so hyped-up he wants to bet me on wearing a Colts jersey should they win and of course he will parade with Ravens jersey in the neighborhood if the horseshoes players were defeated.

That said...and to allow Football fans wherever you are to polish your knowledge on  Ravens assuming you know enough about Colts, we will take you to these two links for more data:

Thank you for commenting and stopping by Lisa!!I have the same issue. Every time I check and recheck the blog something strange happens. I found that in order to read the all post..at the bottom where tha ADD YOUR COMMENT SECTION is..there is a cursor that will allow you to navigate left to right and vice versa so you can read the entire post. I think the logo IT 'S TIME TO HUNT has something to do with this screen dysfunction.I am sorry! Try it ! It's worth it..

No, Papiboul, i din't say "No sapmming" per se, but not one word comments in a few minutes.

See the difference? See how I do mine? Farther apart and after commenting on a bunch of others! That is my golden rule.

I don't write little phrases over many comments...

Rather, many comments over many strings...

It would be better if you wrote more complete ideas in those, in my opinion.

NOPE!! He has no plan to go to Indy for Basketball
game. His team coordinator is in the process of putting together a list for the next 6 months for out-of-town travels and Nationals which is going to be held in Tennessee this year.Yes!! his plan is to go to DeMatha HS or Sidwell or Gonzaga but he has a better chance for DeMatha because his current school Saint Mary of the Mills has always been close to 90% of DeMatha recruits.
As far as him team preferences,he told me he wanted to be a winner so he has to pick the best teams plus where is the FUN if everybody has the same team in one household.COLTS better beat RAVENS this SATURDAY otherwise I will be the one to have fun...

Papipoul ...... I do hope for your sake that the Colts' run defense plays like they have done in the regular season. That way your Ravens will be assured of the victory. However if the Colts played like they did against the Chiefs where they negated the runs of Larry Johnson then the Colts will win. So for your sake I hope they play like they've done throughout the regular season. It'll make for a great spectacle seeing Billick going up against Dungy. Both are defensively minded gurus but yet both teams have majorly potent offenses ! On the defensive side though your Ravens do have the decisive edge !

I think it will be a good game, hopefully the Colts defense will play like they did last week.

(Can you tell that I don't like the Ravens?)

It may be the Colts and Patriots in the championship game, not sure who would get the win in that one. It may come down to whoever has home field.

Here we go..the spectacular weekend NFL playoff is on..Hi!! Rampant/ToPhat..Thanks for peeping by..Let me repeat that folks, I do not have a DOG in that fight, everybody knew in this blogland that my team (SNIKSDER-REDSKINS) has gone for awhile. Right now, I am trying to keep my blogging hours ON... using My Son's team as a transitional object nothing more nothing less.In addition, we bet should Colts lose, he would parade in the neighborhood with a RAVENS jersey and vice versa. We have already purchased the two jerseys...We're just having FUN...

Miracle..Thanks for visiting...Of course, I have detected your subluminal penchant for the COLTS for the occasion..everyone here knew you are a STEELERS' fan..Your case is similar to mine. Your wish is to see New England vs Indiana as SUPERBOWL contenders. Good dream..you may have to go to a PALM READER to know more about this probability.
You might also realize that I am having FUN just talking about the game in which I do not have anything to lose except for wearing a nasty jersey should the black bird lose...

Papipoul ..... Either way like I said it'll be one hell o####ame ! Dungy is deserving of making it to the 'big dance' but on the surface to me anyway he appears too soft ! But that's only my observation on the matter and I expect the the team to do well. I suppose under the circumstances after his son's death he was a tower of stength to the rest of his family and I know that the team rallied around him to show their support.
So hopefully they'll do one better this time around !

Papipoul ..... The result initself was surprising but it was how it was attained as it had become a titanic defensive battle. Who'dve known that the Colts' defense would be so stout and steadfast ? As they reined in Heap and Jamaal Lewis ! Viniateri was just pure money for the Colts whatever way you look at it !

You are absolutely right TopHat..Ravens made grave miscalculations on Colts defense that beat KC the same way by annihilating Larry Johnson.Yes!! Vinatiery was the SHOW ME THE MONEY slogan as lipread from Dungy on that decisive FG. Now that Colts is going to take on Patriots next Sunday it remains to be seen if VINATIERI is going to make NE bite his fingers by trading him to COLTS.

Papipoul ...... You've got to feel somewhat sorry for Schottenheimer as the Chargers should've known not to give Brady so much time left on the clock to work his his usual miracle. It's not as if the whole world hasn't seen him do this before ? And they paid the price as it ended in heartbreak for a genuinely great Chargers' team.
It remains to be seen whether or not the team will learn anything form this. But in all good conscience I do believe that they will ! It's what makes an average team good. And a good team great as with each adversity they'll learn from it !

I hope Ravens...Hummm will also learn from their nonchalance..ToPhAt..I also hope Eagles, Seahawks and al learn from their lack of stamina..Chargers players' psyche was on a different mode yesterday as for the first time astute observers have seen the true LT weird penmanship come in to flourish yesterday. TopHat!! Have you noticed How unprofessional TOMLINSON was at the end of the game?? Have you seen his angry behavior as he refused any word of consolation or else from the Patriots players?? He doesn't look good in defeat, does he?? I also think Colts has a big challenge ahead..if they beat NE sure they can beat Bears also but SAINTS would be a different animal in a SuperBowl matchup..

Papipoul ..... I'd have to disagree with you with regard to Tomlinson as the unprofessionalism wasn't from Tomlinson but from the New England players. Who sought to mock Merriman and some of the other Chargers' players with their mock dance on the Chargers' logo at the center of the field at the end of the game. It was totally unwarranted and showed the complete lack of maturity by the young Patriots' players and this is coming from an ardent Patriots' fan ! Belichek himself should've had the courtesy of apologising for his players' lack of discipline and certainly should've said something about it during the press conference afterwards. It's one thing to win but one should show some dignity with regard to one's opponents. That's something that clearly wasn't forthcoming from anyone within the Pats' organisation. And that initself is a sad indictment of the complete lack of sportsmanship that's no longer on display within many of the sporting endeavors nowadays !
There's no accountability and self respect let alone respect as I said for one's opponent !

TopHat!! my bad..I have not seen that event which obviously preceded what I have seen at the end. It was a tunnel vision observation so to speak..
In that case, both Pats' players and LT were at fault from an equitable standpoint.
Right now, Lets move on and try to see thru what is coming this weekend:Colts vs Patriots, Saints vs Bears..What a decisive weekend! That will also end all speculations...

Papipoul ...... There'll be no moving on at present for a lot of the Chargers' fans as there's still a lot of hostility there after that demoralising loss to the Pats. There's now talk that they should get rid off Schottenheimer. To my mind that won't solve anything as Marty wasn't at fault for the loss.
It was down to sheer inexperience on the Chargers' path as they hadn't been in a situation like this in a long time.
That notwithstsanding they also made several mistakes towards the end of the game that they paid dearly for by allowing New England back into the game.
Both Tomlinson and Schottenheimer know this and hence the reason behind a lot of the emotion that has been shown ! They had the game within the grasp of their hands and allowed it to slip away, all to the benefit of Brady and the Patriots. And we all know that they the Partiots, never look a gift horse in the mouth !

ToPhat!! That is too bad for Chargers' fans.A loss is a loss. In any loss there has always been one should of, could of or would of...They have to move on..otherwise someone or some are going to have a mental breakdown.I agree that someone is going to be used as scapegoat..usually the coaching staff was the sacrificial LIMB/LAMB...Guess what..that kind of acrimony will be in vogue again this coming weekend..Lets face it ONLY a team can be CHAMP thus 3 out of 4 remaining teams has to go...

Papipoul ..... One might say the Chargers were ill prepared. But I look at it this way as they were beaten by a team that was far more attuned to the needs and wants of a team that has expreienced this all before. The Pats having done this all for four of the lasst six years certainly know what I'm talking about by all of this. It makes a team that all the more prepared and ready for almost anything within reason and I do mean anything ! They're part and parcel of what the postseason is all about when it comes to NASCAR and the celebration of winning overall ! As nobody does it better than the boys of NASCAR and Jeff Gordon in particular ! Is it any wonder that when it comes to celabrating anyting positive within the sport it's merely turned over to one of two posts. Dale Earnhardt or his son Dake Jr as it signifies that one's finally arrived at the pinnacle of the sport !

NBAOutlaw/Dusty ......Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but I for one am hoping that the Colts' defensive play was just two weeks of an aberration that's ran its course. As I'm expcting my beloved Pats to make it back to the Superbowl. Is that really too much to ask ? Although I live in C. Florida the teams within the state aren't worth a damn other than the Jaguars. But overall they're too inconsistent for my liking. So you can never be sure what team will turn up from one week to the next. But I must say that their running back Maurice Jones Drew is a 'beast' ! That guy is a 'man child' ! His upper body strength is phenomenal as is his running !

The Bucs are a complete mess under Gruden and I for the life of me can't understand why the local sport's pundits in the market here just keep on singing his praises.
Am I really missing something here ?
Five seasons in , one Superbowl win and three losing seasons out of five and he still keeps his job.
If I peformed like that here at UPS I'd be out on my ear as a Logitsics Manager.
The Dolphins have just been a proverbial mess from start to finish over the past five years. And with Saban's departure how much worse can things get ? As they've fallen further into an ever deepening crevass or abyss call it what you will ! Am I being harsh ? I think not !

Papipoul ....... I dare not hazard a guess as to your age but I expect your son is old enough to be a fan of Peyton Manning. So I expect that on that score he wants Peyton to win ? A lot of young boys can identify with Manning because of his play and the fact that they see him as a player that leads by example and is very fair on and off the field. Much as in the same way that they see Jeter when it comes to baseball. And LeBron and Chris Paul when it comes to basketball. All are players that have their own legion of fans and prosper from it. As yet also none of them have been touched by a tinge of scandal since the start of their careers. And that really says something today about many of our younger professional athletes.
