Ichi and Felix, for sure. I'm not sure about the rest of my rotation, though--like would I want to take a chance with Daisuke or not, for example. Pitchers and catchers report to Peoria this week (and everywhere else, pretty much). First game 1st March against the Pads, the usual charity game. Good luck with your team, PF.
If you have Jeter on your excluded list your playing by your heart and not your Head.
Jeter was one of the best shortstops in Baseball last year.
Don't let your hate for the Yankees cloud your judgment.
I respect Jeter's talent, and the fact he has been a Yankee his entire career, but there are still of plenty of talented shortstops in the world of fantasy baseball (Tejada, Michael Young, Carlos Guillen, Hanley Ramirez, Edgar Renteria, etc.).
I think I've made it clear, I'm absolutely not a Yankees fan and put the Red Sox in the same category as not being good for baseball. I love to watch those teams battle each other, but it's unrealistic that other small market teams can compete with the kind of money they spend. How teams like the Royals and Pirates stay afloat just baffles me. They generally have good farm systems, but players make a name for themselves and bolt in free agency.
I don't dislike all the Yankees, only A-Fraud. Of course, how they're treating Bernie Williams right now is inexcusable. I do like what Cashman has done this offseason with the free agency pool being limited on talent. He made smart moves for the future instead of the win now mentality that has really gotten them nowhere, the last few years.
Anyway I've said too much. Go Mariners!
I too think A-Fraud is due for a big year, and may finally win over the hearts of Yankee fans. After all it could be worse, he could be Rex Grossman.
PF is from the Northwest. I'm a huge fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, and Trail Blazers! If you don't root for your teams, even when they're losing or re-building, you are not a true fan.
Go Beavs! Back to Back NCAA Baseball Champions! Obama in '08!
