"Its not like we were puposely trying to not score points. They were chanting 'More' -that they wanted more points. And we were trying to give it to them."
-David Carr, Carolina QB, after the Panthers lost 31-6 to the New Orleans Saints. Carr was 10 of 22 for 95 yards, with 2 interceptions.
For those who are dont know, Matt Moore is the Panthers 3rd string quarterback. The crowd was obviously chanting for him.
Im giving Carr the benefit of the doubt and saying he realized this, but tried to make light of the situation. If thats the case, Carr is one of the funniest men alive.
I hear David Carr is on the mic at The Chuckle Hut near you. I think he got his bell rung one too many times if he doesn't think the fans were chanting for Matt Moore. If the Panthers end up in the top 10 of the draft, I hope they end up getting either Chase Daniel or Colt Brennan.
Carr is uncanningly funny. i dont know if he meant it that way, but im pretty sure he did.
when asked about his car crash the day after he was drafted the report asked the question this way "did you hurt your arm in the collision?" Carr replied "you know i hadnt thought about til right now, damn my arm does hurt." then he smiled and walked into wherever he was headed.
Im a diehard sports fan. My favorite teams are the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bearcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers and I enjoy making fun of the city of Cleveland and the Chicago Cubs.
