Seattle Seahawks Predictions
Jun 22, 2008 | 6:44PM | report this

Well if you look through my archived posts I did this last year and posted a record of 9-7, not very good :( However I did this before certain injuries took hold, much like I am doing again this year, but what the hell, I have a long summer ahead.

Seattle Seahawks @ Buffalo Bills:

The Bills took alot of people by suprise last season, myself included. While they didn't make the playoffs they still had a great season. Seattle last year had their difficulties on the road and I believe that they will play the Bills tough and walk out of Buffalo with a win, though it will be a hard fought one.

1-0 RECORD

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks:

Okay Seahawk Faithful lets avoid the trash talk to the 49er fans about sweeping them last year after they swept us in 2006. Seattle posted a 7-1 record at home last season and I see that trend continuing. Seattle should pound the 49ers even with the addition of Martz on their coaching staff.

2-0 RECORD

St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks:

Back to Back Divisional Home Games. This game will set the tone for the NFC West, win and we will be feared again in our division. This game does scare me as the former Ram killer Josh Brown comes back to town with wearing the wrong colors. We cannot allow this game to come down to field goals. Seattle has swept St. Louis the last three years and I for one desire this streak to continue. Seattle wins by a touchdown, anything less then we are in trouble.

3-0 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants:

This is one of those games where I hope I am wrong. The Giants have their challenges as I am sure you know, they were a horrible home team last year if you remember and unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Seattle does not leave here with a win.

3-1 RECORD

Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks:

#4 is gone. The Packers destroyed Seattle twice last year, once in the preseason and once in the postseason, these games were not even contests. This game depends entirely on Aaron Rogers...will be be great...or will he be a bust? I am guessing a bust...we must stop their running game or we will fall to .500. I predict Seattle wins at home.

4-1 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Is it just me or does it seem like we are in Tampa Bay every season? This was one of two games that we won on the road last season. Seattle needs to buckle down and continue a Swan Song for Coach and pull out a hard fought victory in Tampa.

5-1 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers:

Last season I predicted that we would lose in SF. I am not making that mistake again. Seattles defense is amazing and one that could put Alex Smith on the IR the remainder of the season after this game!

6-1 RECORD

Philadelphia Eagles @ Seattle Seahawks:

The way that we have handled the Eagles the last two times we have played (both games being in Philly) I am guessing the Hawks handle them nicely in Seattle. The noise will disrupt McNabb to the point that he will throw at least 3 INTs. Mark my words.

7-1 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ Miami Dolphins:

I don't care what Bill can do in Miami, there is no way that he will find a way to win against Seattle. Our offense can make a few mistakes, the defense wins this game.

8-1 RECORD

Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks:

This game takes place on my 30th Birthday. Seattle will win for me :)

9-1 RECORD

Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks:

Jim Zorn comes home. We were able to beat the Skins when they had Joe Gibbs, a legend. Against Zorn I am going with a win, but hey I am biased.

10-1 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys:

I cannot go against the Cowboys at this point. This is their house and we have challenges on the road. Cowboys win this game.

10-2 RECORD

New England Patriots @ Seattle Seahawks:

Whew....This is a tough one. Seattle is at home, a very nice advantage, the Pats were 16-0 last season, though that will not happen again. A tough road team versus a tough home team. I will go with the Pats, though I hate doing so, but they are still the team to beat.

10-3 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams:

This is where the Seahawks dominance against St. Louis ends. Yes I am predicting the Hawks lose three straight.

10-4 RECORD

New York Jets @ Seattle Seahawks:

Now here is where Seattle rebounds, we may lose against one of the teams from New York, but not this one. Seattle hurts the Jets in Seattle.

11-4 RECORD

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals:

I am sure by this date, not only will Seattle have the NFC West wrapped up, we may even have a first round bye. If that is the case then Arizona will win here, if a first round bye is one the line then we will play hard to win. I am forcasting that there will not be and Arizona wins.

11-5 RECORD

Now this is my forecast and I am sure that you will all agree with me that if this is the way everything ends up we will all be happy!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Week Five Predictions
Oct 02, 2007 | 9:33AM | report this

Not a bad week last week for me. I finished 11-3 with my only loses being....

Texans getting handled by Atlanta (who saw that coming?)

Eagles getting humilated by The Giants Sack Happy Defense (after 42 points in a half last week, I never saw that happening)

Raiders (opps Culpepper) beat up on the winless Dolphins. (I did not give Dante enough credit)

_______________________________________________
_____________________

This week shows some interesting match ups. I hope that I am able to go 11-3 again, but we will see.

Miami @ Houston - Both teams were less than impressive last week. Miami is just horrible, allowing five TD's by one player is insane. Houston redeems their lowly loss to Atlanta by beating the Dolphins.

Jacksonville @ Kansas City - The Chiefs are starting to put things togther, however so it Jacksonville coming off a bye the Jags are poised to make a statement to the rest of the NFL and hand Kansas City a loss.

Cleveland @ New England - The Browns could play spoilers to anyone in the NFL, their offense is so unpredictable.....wait they are playing the Patriots in Foxborough. I am going to go out on a limb and say New Englands wins.....BIG.

Carolina @ New Orleans - New Orleans needs all the help they can get. I hope that the bye week they are coming off of helps them regain form. New Orleans gets their first win of the season over Carolina.

Jets @ Giants - The Battle of New York. Who do I pick? The team that got humilated by the Bills or the team that destroyed the Eagles...hmmmm....Giants win.

Seattle @ Pittsburgh - Since Seattle is my team I am picking them to win in an upset. We need revenge from XL!! Go Hawks.

Arizona @ St. Louis - Arizona has been very impressive and I believe with the way the Rams have been playing this will not help fix their woes. Arizona wins this game.

Atlanta @ Tennessee - Atlanta played well last week, but not good enough to take down the Vince Young led Titans. Titans win by 7.

Detroit @ Washington - The way Kitna led the Lions in the 4th quarter scared me. The Lions are for real this year. Lions win a great game.

Tampa Bay @ Indianapolis - This could have an upset in the making. I dont know if I can go out on a limb and pick Tampa Bay to win. Indy wins a close one.

San Diego @ Denver - The Broncos melt down in the second have was humorous. San Diego was not impressive again. LT is crying alot, Rivers cant hit the broad side of a barn. Culter leads his Broncos to victory.

Baltimore @ San Francisco - With Smith out this week there is no way the Dilfer led 49ers will prevail here. Baltimore redeems themselves with a victory.

Chicago @ Green Bay - As impressive as Favre has been it is difficult to go against him and the 4-0 Packers. Packers win.

Dallas @ Buffalo - Wow we get to watch a Monday night slaughter of Buffalo. Dallas wins easily.

Week Four Update
Sep 30, 2007 | 6:57PM | report this

Another great week for picks for me.  Time for the evaluation.

1. Yes I picked The Texans to win over the Lowly Falcons. So I will accept that lose and start it off 0-1

2.  Jets lost to the Bills. This was one of the harder picks for me (I choose the Bills to just #### off my friend from New York). I was suprised the Bills won. 1-1

3. My semi-upset pick was Cleveland over Baltimore. I was right (yeah me) 2-1

4. Cowboys over the Rams (that was a gimme) 3-1

5. Lions over the Bears, with the depleted D and no QB it was easy. 4-1

6. Raiders (Culpepper) vs Miami - Boy was I wrong. I knew Dante wanted to make a statement, but 5 TDs...wow. I picked that wrong. 4-2

7. Packers over Minnesota. Who isn't a Favre fan? Gotta love the NFLs Ironman. 5-2

8. Tampa humilates Carolina. - To the previous blogger who said the Panthers would win on a last second field goal. Sorry. 6-2

9. My Hawks over the 49ers. - i thought this would be closer, but boy did the D for Seattle stand up and make the 49ers look like the second rate team they are. 7-2

10. Arizona beats Pittsburgh - This was my upset pick. Good call. 8-2

11. Colts over Denver - Like I said previously. Colts almost always start off 10-0. 9-2

12. KC beats SD - Could have been viewed as an upset, but with Rivers playing like that and Tomlinson crying this was destined. 10-2

We are waiting on the NYG and Philly game, same with Pats/Bengals. So at the worst..NYG wins and Bengals win. I would be 10-4 for the week. Of those two I am sure to get one. 11-3. Not too shabby.

Week Four Picks
Sep 29, 2007 | 4:48PM | report this

Who thinks I am crazy? Who thinks I am dead on? I did this last week and only was off by one game (Arizona against Baltimore). Heck that is better than the 'experts' on Fox.

Week 4:

Houston @ Atlanta - Since Houston kept it close against Indy until the second half I have to go with Matt talking it to his former team. Texans win.

Jets @ Bills - The Bills have not shown me anything this year, which is why they will probably win (can't get you butt kicked all year long right?)

Baltimore @ Cleveland - This could be seen as an upset pick as I am taking Cleveland to win this game. Baltimore has shown the ability to win close games and almost lost to Arizona (who knows what could have happened had Warner played the whole game).

Rams @ Cowboys - Winless Rams vs The Undefeated (Kicking A**) Cowboys, hmmm...tough one..Cowboys demolish the Rams.

Chicago @ Lions - Lions are impressive, Bears not so impressive. The quarterback change is intriguing, but I think the Lions walk away victorious.

Oakland @ Miami - This is scary. Culpepper will have something to prove and I think he will come up short just like he did in Miami. Miami gets their first win of the season.

Packers @ Vikings - It is in Minnesota and the Vikings play Green Bay tough there. Favre is so far in MVP form (give it time). I still think Favre and Co. win this battle.

Tampa @ Carolina - Two teams top in their division. Tampa is coming off two impressive wins and they will prevail. Tampa is a force this year with Garcia at the helm.

Seahawks @ 49ers - I cannot go against the Hawks (they are my team) and they are better. Seattle is a bad hand off from being 3-0 cannot say the same for the 9ers. They could easily be 0-3. It will be a close one, but for all you 49er fans who claim we swept you last you. Seahawks swept you in 2004 and 2005. Last year is last year....oh and didn't some weak team in the division sweep you last year too????

Pittsburgh @ Arizona - The Steelers are scary this year, but so is Arizona (their 1-2 record does not do them justice, they could be 3-0). Arizona in an upset win.

Broncos @ Colts - The Colts have a weird thing about winning their first 10 games. Gotta go with Peyton.

Kansas City @ San Diego - You would have though four weeks ago this would be a battle for first place in the AFC West. San Diego has not been too impressive. KC picks up the W.

Eagles @ Giants - After the performance the Eagles displayed last week....well who could pass on taking them??? Not me. Eagles win.

Patriots @ Bengals - Two tough loses for the Bengals, this one wont be any easier. Pats win a blowout.

ABOUT ME

NationTraveler78
I am a native of the Pacific Northwest. My Grandfather was a very small minority owner of the Seahawks and even owned the land the original Kingdome was built on, he sold his portion to the Nordstrom family in 1979. With that being said I was born a fan and was less than a two weeks old when I went to my first Hawks game on Dec. 3rd 1978 when the Hawks played the Browns. As a kid my family moved to Arizona where things changed in sports, becoming a Phoenix sports fan is bittersweet, just like being a Seattle fan. Combined the two cities have two championships
. 1979 Sonics and 2001 Diamondbacks.
I am now living in SoCal with my wife and two children, with one little future Seahawk on the way.
