NFC West Champions
Dec 09, 2007 | 8:01PM | report this

Well....I have to say we have proven many of the Seahawk haters that we are the team to beat in the NFC West.

Tied for the 3rd best record in the NFC the Seahawks have been beasts on defense in recent weeks. Think about 9 interceptions in two games....could that be a record???

To All the St. Louis Ram fans (especially TomBradyIsAHomo) all I can say is better luck next year...so much for your rise to the top. Enjoy your top 10 pick in the draft.

To All the San Francisco 49er fans who believed that they were due for a second coming. I do have to admit that I believed that they were going to be more of a threat then the turned out to be, spent all that money in the off season to decline. I just don't want to hear we swept you in 2006.....because my friends we swept you in 2007. The past is the past and you will not hear that from me next year,

To All the Arizona Cardinal fans. Living in Phoenix for years I have a respect for you and root for you whenever you are not playing the Hawks. Good luck the remainder of the season and hope to see you in the Playoffs.

I was happy to see the experts giving Seattle the respect that they deserve, the running game is still below average and in order to make a serious run for the Super Bowl we will need to get that going. The most amazing thing about Seattle is how they can give up the big plays, allow lots of yardage and still win by three touchdowns.

I look at our next three games and see them all as possible wins. Facing an injury plagued Panthers next week in Carolina has the potential of Seattle walking away with a win. Then we play a Baltimore team that has a losing streak longer than Seattles win, we wind out the season in Atlanta where the Falcons will not stand a chance UNLESS Seattle has the #3 or higher seed in the NFC locked up.

Go Hawks! 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 NFC West Champions.

Right on, Nation Traveler, Right on!

I was wondering when (or if) the offense would catch up with the defense (seems strange to say that the Seahawk's D was better than the O, but it has been true this season). Looks like they picked the right team to go off on with the NFC West within their grasp. Now if the O line can get healed up and spend some time playing as a unit for the rest of the season maybe the Alexander/Morris tandem can get the running game cranked up.

Keep the faith, man!

Read with Dwindy's Avatar and my martini....

"At this point, no NFC team can compete with NEnglad QB's by baby daddy!"

Nation,

I'm glad to see you and your friends in Seattle are content with being NFC West Champs.

In St. Louis it means nothing unless you win it all. So to me your team and your city is garbage.

The last time your team beat anybody with a winning record was week frickin one.

Your team will be one and done in the playoffs. Your lack of a running game is going to kill you.

Tombrady is what ever.....
Eh! A lack of a running game is going to kill us? The Seahawks running backs out gained the following teams. The Colts 77 to 61 and the Patroits 77 to 22. A lack of a running doesn't seem to hurt them. Perhaps if you were half as smart as you think you are........

Are you going to sit here and compare your team to the Colts and Patriots?

Where are you getting your numbers? The Colts have a great running game and the Patriots could beat every team in the league and not run the ball once.

Patriots are undefeated, you lost to every team you played with a winning record. You will go nowhere in the playoffs. More to come in my next blog.

You and your team are pitiful you won the West and got 5 comments. Keep up the good work there Chief.

Seahaks have only beat one team with a winning record..Tampa. And thats not saying much. You'll be first round playoff fodder to the more superior division teams.

To the non-believers,

Just remember this is a veteran team that has several members who know what the playoffs are all about. An up and coming defense will keep them in games and if the offense (where all the experience resides) jells as they appear to have lately, this team will give anyone problems... Young QBs in big time pressure situations are a genuine question (Romo in Dallas being the prime example).

We'll see how it goes...

ABOUT ME

NationTraveler78
I am a native of the Pacific Northwest. My Grandfather was a very small minority owner of the Seahawks and even owned the land the original Kingdome was built on, he sold his portion to the Nordstrom family in 1979. With that being said I was born a fan and was less than a two weeks old when I went to my first Hawks game on Dec. 3rd 1978 when the Hawks played the Browns. As a kid my family moved to Arizona where things changed in sports, becoming a Phoenix sports fan is bittersweet, just like being a Seattle fan. Combined the two cities have two championships
. 1979 Sonics and 2001 Diamondbacks.
I am now living in SoCal with my wife and two children, with one little future Seahawk on the way.
Time stamping is done in Pacific Time.
