Who can stop the Patriots?
Nov 19, 2007 | 11:26AM | report this

The NFL has never seen an offense as potent as the current New England Patriots.  How can you stop such a juggernaut?  THIS JUST IN: YOU CAN'T!!!

I have been saying this for years with my friends, Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the NFL hands down.  Everyone has been telling me that Peyton Manning is the best quarterback because he owned the single season touchdown record and he is the best pure passer in the NFL.  Brady won three championships, with no-one playing at the skill positions, he didn't have Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne, Edgerin James, Joe Addai and Dallas Clark.  He had David Patten, Jabar Gaffney, Deion Branch, David Givens and Reche Caldwell.  Have we heard from these guys since they left New England because they though they were better than they are.  Not one.

Brady never had receivers until this year and now that he finally does, he is getting some love.  Now Manning has injuries and is using a depleted offense and he is struggleing, unlike Brady who consistently made receivers who wouldn't start in the CFL and turned them into champions.  I will say it again, Brady is better, 3-1, Nuff Said!!

I would love to have either one of these guys starting for my team, but if given the choice I would tkae Brady because he makes people around him better.  He finally has weapons and is obliterating the competition.  People will say it is all Belichick not taking his foot off the gas and running up the score, but Brady and his receivers still have to execute.  He is just better.

Both are good, but Brady is head and shoulders above Manning, this year.

Much as I'd like to see my Steelers get it done on 12-9, I think a healthy Colts team is their greatest threat. However, that won't happen until the playoffs. Based on their division strength, the Patriots could be the first 16-0 team by then.

Like you said, it's not like Brady won't be playing all 4 quarters, even if they're 15-0 with a 30-point lead...

The only person who can defeat the Partiots are the Partiots themselves if they choose to ignore the obvious. And that's to underestimate an opponent much like the Steelers did with the Jets.

Very nice post. One thought occured to me. This is not a knock on Brady or Romo, either:
Does anyone think that given the Offensive Line that the Steelers currently has (truly offensive): Now really// Would Romo and Favre, even Brady (as good as he is) be having the success they are now enjoying? I think not. It is time for Steelers to find some O Line players that do the job they are supposed to do. Fuzz

That is a really good point, Brady is having a career season, but if you listen to his postgame interview, even he mentions his O line giving him the time to throw. BUT, that is just one piece of the puzzle, the other is having grade A receivers and of course, Tom Brady. He has experience no other active QB has. More Super Bowl wins and playoff wins than any current QB. He's paid his dues and gotten much better in the years since his first Super Bowl win.

I see this season as one that will be historic. Just be grateful that many years from now you can reminisce about the year a team went 16-0 or 19-0 and await a year when a 40 team NFL league has to go 22-0 or 25-0 to get a perfect season.

I think the whole team is good, but whoever gets to Brady and at least knocks him down a few times might have a chance. Otherwise it is not looking like anyone...I'm not a Bears fan but I think their D would have the best chance to do that, too bad their O is so bad....

What has happened to some of the colts players that left for another team. Rhodes is a no body, James isnt nearly as big of a deal as he was in Indy and what about Brandon Stokley! Has anyone even heard of him lately? These players were good because they were part o####reat scheme and put around great players. The same reason that David Patten, Jabar Gaffney, Deion Branch, David Givens and Reche Caldwell were good for the Pats. Manning and Brady are both great QB's and hall of famers in my mind. However I feel that it's terrbily hard to compare them. One has to remember that when Brady won his Super Bowels he had a great defense were Manning didn't have a good defense that could get the ball back to the offense until last year when they won the Super Bowel. Football is a team sport and right now the Patriots have a great and healthy team. They will be hard for anyone to beat.

Brady is average at best. He wasn't that great in Michigan, and not much has changed. Any QB can look good with the kind of support Brady's getting. When you can achieve the same result with a team that's mediocre at best, then you'll deserve to be counted with the QB greats. Until then, he's just another New England Puppet.

Tom Brady swells with pride following the endorsement of Mojo McFart.

Manning seethes with envy.

Much responsibility goes with being "Mojo McFart". Wield it wisely, my friend.

Earlier this year the NFL fined the coach of the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick for basically CHEATING!

So all the talk and all the hype about the undefeated record really is nonsense!

What's even more nonsence is the fact that the media and NFL just seem to have swept it under the table!

That fine was a huge amount of money but as we all know that the money is no issue! That was chunk change!

Take away what hurts! A Super Bowl Championship! OR all of them!

Instead we will have to hear about how the undefeated Patriots are such a Diniesty when really they are CHEATERS!

I HOPE THE NFL IS PROUD OF THE MESSAGE THEY ARE SENDING!

CHEATERS REALLY DO PROSPER !
