Rumors out of Dallas that the trade of Adam Pacman Jones to the
Cowboys is close to being completed. The hold up left is how the
team will settle the grievance with Pacman over financial matters. Adam
Jones has said he is willing to forego money he has earned from and is
owed by the Titans if the team drops its insistence he repay a similar
amount of signing bonus.
Apparently, the team’s have agreed on a 3rd round pick being sent to
Tennessee along with a conditional pick, believed to be a 5th rounder,
if the Cowboys were to make it to the Superbowl. It also appears that
Roger Goodell has given his blessing to the deal and has stated that he
would re-instate Pacman as soon as Pacman and the team work out the
issues over his grievance.
I'm thinking Jerry Jones may need to send his private jet to Tennessee to pick up Adam Jones, as he comes with more luggage than most airlines will allow.

Hasn't this tool still got to be reinstated by the League ? And that's by no means a certainty as of yet. I still think that Jones is making a mistake. Pacman being in Dallas is like sending a pedophile into a damn classroom full of kids. You know he's still going to get into trouble once he's in " Big D".
tophatal - The deal seems to be in the final stages here in Dallas. Yes it's a risk for Jerry Jones, but a far less risk than it would be for other teams. This isn't the Cardinals or the Houston Texans pushing the chips all-in in an effort to make the playoffs. The Cowboys are already the odds-on favorite to win the NFC title, without Adam Jones.
titansfan24... Strange how after Adam Jones adamantly states he will NEVER play another game as a Titan, that you are finally coming to terms with losing him for one, maybe two late round picks.
After listening to his three hour Q&A session on ESPN radio here in Dallas, I'm actually warming to Dallas taking him on. For the last 10 years the Dallas Cowboys have been a model franchise in the NFL at keeping their players character-issue free.
This has evolved to taking on various "problem child" labeled players and turning them into model citizens. Hopefully you're right and he will fit in with the Cowboys. No doubt he'll need guidance and positive mentoring.
I hail from a large family where after school we went in 7 different directions, to either play or coach in every sport available. As a child I got in free to the Cowboy games at the Cotton Bowl as a tag-along to my Dad's credentials. It was the ultimate childhood dream scenario to play football there, under the lights with the kids of other players and personnel after the games. I have been a Cowboys fan since those days in the 60's and like Willie Nelson says "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys". I've witnessed a few Stars Stanley Cup games and I have been a Mavericks fan since day one. Hopefully, in the future, G.W. Bush will re-take control of the Texas Rangers and they will once again become competitive.
