The internet fodder linking the troubled Adam Jones & the Dallas Cowboys refuses to die. In fact the story is growing legs and gaining credibility. Here in Dallas, the two local sports yakety-yack stations - 1310 The Ticket as well as 103.3 ESPN - are mentioning the ongoing talks involving Pacman, his agent, the Cowboys and the Titans.
... .
Ten days ago the rumor was squashed when Jerry Jones Jones stated publicly that There were no ongoing talks and reiterated that talks with another team's player who's under contract was a clear violation of league rules. Tennessee at that time had not granted permission.
... ... ... ... ... .. . ... ... ... ... ... ... .A suspended Adam Jones keepin' it real and mentoring N.Y. Knicks Zach ... ... ... ... ... .Randolph and Eddy Curry on the art of image management at the professional. ... ... ... ... ... .level. Obviously this tutoring has transpired to make the Knicks a more respected ... ... ... ... ... ... organization on and off the floor as well. Just have to wonder - Where's Isiah Thomas?
Fast forward to yesterday - Rototimes.com reports That not only have the Titans granted permission, but that all of the afore mentioned parties were actually involved. As the story goes, the Cowboys and Pacman have agreed to a contract figure. This now only leaves the issue of Tennessee and Dallas settling on a compensatory draft pick, rumored to be a 4th or 5th round pick.
... ... ... ... ... .. ... ... ... But wait... Isn't there still the sticky issue of whether or not Jones will ever be reinstated?
It was printed in The Tennessean back on March 8, that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he
has no plans to review Jones’ suspension again until closer to the
opening of training camps. You would have to assume Jerry Jones, given his status, MUST be getting some kind of nod or wink from Goodell to even proceed. Else why would Dallas make necessary adjustments to the roster and allocate Salary Cap numbers for a player that is currently banished from the league?
Throw in the fact that Manny Arora, Adam Jones' agent, is persistently pleading to Goodell to reach a decision sooner regarding the troubled cornerback. Pacman's stock is trading just a hair above Enron's now, and by mid-July it will be worth far less.
... ... ..Forgive me if my keyboard shorts out. It's all these tears I cry for poor ol' PacMan... An actual copy of the Pacman Jones Ad that he purchased April 20th, 2007 in The Tennessean. Pardon me if I believe his actions speak much louder and clearer than his printed words.
I've yet to address the issue of Adam Jones' countless assaults on society. He's not a cancer to a team as much as he's been a cancer and clearly dangerous threat to society in general. I don't want him and his entourage anywhere near Dallas County and near my family.
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Advertisement for one of Adam Jones' many "Make it rain" ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... episodes - most of which take place in strip joints - which ... ... ... ... ... ... ... have led to numerous brawls, shootings and serious injurues
Love or hate the Cowboys, you can't help but be aware of the strides that the organization has made in the last 10 years concerning criminal character issues. Personally the risk is tremendous and the statement it makes is that increasing the Cowboy's chances of winning a Championship outweighs the risks. I would personally be very disappointed if this rumor grew to fruition.
Haha Lisa I bet you do! Click on the reference link at the bottom. It now states that PacMouth's agent claims the Patriots are the leading prospective target. I'd be unsettled being labeled a "target" by anyone in Jones' entourage.

I also have heard all the PM rumors surfacing the last couple. I know JJ is willing to take risks, but in the past it has been mostly malcontents, ego-centric big mouths, etc. Not out and out gangst criminals.
As a Cowboy fan I find the prospect of PM rather disturbing. Granted, he is a very good corner and we need a corner of his (on the field) caliber, but it ain't worth it.
I have also wondered if JJ knows something about PM being reinstated that we don't... but it really turns me off to think of the Boys as a team of thugs. No, please no, not our Boys.
i don't understand why the NFL is even contemplating letting pacman back into the league. i think that the authorities pick and choose who the wanna make an example out of when in all actuality everyone should be punished justly, not just because of who you are
I hear ya man. If Dallas would just Draft a Cornerback, Wideout and back-up running back in the first 2 rounds they'll be alright. This doesn't make a lot of sense, regardless of how cheap he'd come.
Thanks for stopping by and I believe everyone in Dallas shares the same sentiment. I don't want this #### in the same county as my family. This joker is always looking for(and finding) reasons to start popping caps. It doesn't take much more than innocently changing lanes ahead of him and his posse to draw fire.
Oh yeah... bring back The Dude. He should be permanent! Just my opinion...
This rumor is as credible as Dallas trading up for McFadden.
People listen to Jerry Jones. He has said on more then one occasion that Dallas will not trade up for McFadden or that Dallas is in trade negotiations for Pacman.
Some internet blogger starts this rumor and all of a sudden it's gospel across America. Sports radio in Dallas reports the rumor, then the Dallas News has too keep up with the story so they begin to report it. Then all the national news outlets report the the Dallas News is reporting this. All of a sudden a complete fabrication is being reported as the truth.
There will be no Pacman or McFadden in Dallas this year.
I'd rather listen to Jerry Jones(the horses mouth) and be wrong, then to believe some rumor(the horses a s*s) and be a gullible i diot(I can't believe that i*d*i*o*t is bleeped out).
VERY true words! More honest God fearing law abiding citizens in Texas legally carry a pistol - either on their person or in their vehicle - than Pacman may want to deal with.
I lived down there all my life--Sure miss it--JJ wont take him will he??Up here in Lamb country we dont get real football news...Cause there aint no real football!!!
QCisco... Yeah everyone seems to skip past the fact that Adam Jones may NEVER play again in the NFL. His latest court case's outcome — a felony conviction — figures to further damage his chances of being reinstated by the NFL, at least not any time soon.
You laid out the snowball affect perfectly. Whala... Now FOX, not to be seen as left behind, has since put the story on their NFL front page. Funny how that works huh? But then when Rotowire ran with it, so did I! It's fodder for debate on a slow day. The story has served it's purpose, creating a feeding frenzy, if only imaginary. If anything, credit Manny Arora (Pacman's agent) for getting rumors brewing over a client that's bringing in zero revenue. Who says you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip?
Yeah the story is rolling like a runaway freight train. Credit his agent I guess.
As for the avatar, It's a poster that was for sale on ebay. I had HotblondeMILF attach my moniker to it and make it mine. It's really me in the picture. Yeah... that's the ticket.

I dont think the titans will trade the best cb in football for a late crappy draft pick from the cowboys. If we trade to yall it should be for terry glenn or something. if not, then forget the cowboys and trade to a team with a good pick.
He's not the best cornerback in football. He's the best cornerback NOT playing football. Big difference and that brings his value way down. Per the report (see link at bottom of article) nothing is imminent, but the two teams have discussed a LATE-round draft pick as compensation.
Pacman is a cancer, not only to a team but on society. Just like the adage floating around about Barry Bonds - Would you buy cancer if you could get it at half-price? Thanks for stopping by.
Titanfan24, you should know that Glenn needs microfracture surgery on his knee. He has decided to put it off in the chance to play one more year in pursuit of the ring. If he gets the surgery he will retire. Dallas is waiting on how he looks in the OTAs and training camp. He could be released outright, if the knee doesn't hold up.
WR is one of the needs for Dallas, but Dallas probably would make that deal. Glenn for Pacman.
On another point, Pacman maybe a good CB, but his off the field history will make it difficult for Tennessee to get a high draft choice. One more srtike and his career is over. Not too many teams will trade a day 1 draft choice with that kind of risk.
Oh I agree with you. Pacman is arrogant and dumb. But we need a receiver and not a draft pick. And Pacman is our best player we have interest in trading. I wouldnt trade him to the cowgirls. I'd trade him to the Jets for Coles or maybe the bengals.
I hail from a large family where after school we went in 7 different directions, to either play or coach in every sport available. As a child I got in free to the Cowboy games at the Cotton Bowl as a tag-along to my Dad's credentials. It was the ultimate childhood dream scenario to play football there, under the lights with the kids of other players and personnel after the games. I have been a Cowboys fan since those days in the 60's and like Willie Nelson says "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys". I've witnessed a few Stars Stanley Cup games and I have been a Mavericks fan since day one. Hopefully, in the future, G.W. Bush will re-take control of the Texas Rangers and they will once again become competitive.
