Yes I believe that the probowl should be AFC vs. the NFC but what about the old days when the team that won the superbowl has to play a team of probowlers that aren't on the superbowl winning team. I think that when a team wins the superbowl they have the right to be cocky but I believe to be really considered the best football team in the world they have to beat a team of probowlers.
ps basically what i mean is i know its not going to happen but it would be cool to witness this as a fan of the NFL
What the writer is referring to is the old college all star game, where the NFL champs (Was no super bowl yet) played a team comprised of the previous seasons college all stars. Otto Graham played one of his greatest games in one of these. Some of the guys who write about these things are too young to even know about what actually happened. captjack 74 yrs. old.
THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY ^
I THINK IT WOULD BE A FUN GAME TO WATCH! THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY. I KNOW ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN I JUST WISH I COULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO WATCH SOMETHING LIKE THIS!
That would make sense better if you hadn't posted it, your saying the Best of Giants risking injury against totally dominate AFC, you'd risk injuries, ....the OUTCOME.....the only teams I think that could have measured up to a game as such wouldve been the 1st 3 years, no way would agents, coaches or management allow this stupidity, its bad enough we have to play 1 now, we'd be better off just naming them by rights of accomplishments and not play the game, but I forgot, the NFLPA needs those extra $$$$44 Genes got a huge appetite, shut up!
keith123221 i was just thinking of the fan's interest. i guess the spoiled overpaid players dont have to play if they dont wanna. i was just making a #### suggestion. those were the days when players played for the love of the game instead of money.
chaz351 read wut im saying im know they arent gonna do that. and it wouldnt be the best of the giants it would be the whole giants team against players who wanted basically revenge on the superbowl team and who wanted to play. i am sure most wouldnt wanna play and most dont even play in the probowl. thats wut they did way back in the 30's. as a fan i would find that appealing and i would come.
I got an Idea, how about making the players that get voted in actually PLAY the game? contracts should be guarenteed with no salary cap hit if the players get injured.Maybe even with compensation for years not under contract.
superbowl has nothing to do with the probowl, like the allstar game its just a day for players to show off and get a chance to scrimmage with guys they never get to play with. probowl is to football what WWF is to UFC. looks real but its not. after four playoff games and the superbowl do u think these guys have any interest in the probowl game after those 5 games????
Hey Brian Balldinger...eat ####..you don't know what in THE HELL u r talking about..per local Raider beat writers...you know the guys that watch them practice every day..they are saying McFadden is the best looking rookie since they've been back in Oakland(including Charles Woodson)...you Ballgargler you kind of take on covering certain NFL teams the way Republicans, Conservatives, and Fox news cover important topics, you depend on what OTHER a-holes who have the same narrow views as you are saying...if u can tell me you have watched every practice then by all means talk like you know what your talking about..otherwise go @$#% your mother...You better apologize to Howie before you rip on the Raiders..I wish Howie would whoop your dumb sounding ####...#### clown...so people..I guess they don't even need to play the season...according to all these national media #### clowns the Cowboys have already won...wow...exciting season huh...yeah...yeah I see that other #### in NFL truths or whatever that McNabb will be MVP...wow..again lets hand it to him now...this is in response to Ballhummers AFC west "predictions" video....

I think the pro bowl should be more like the all star game in baseball. Have it in a different city every year so the true fans can see it and not just Hawaii.
MJLJJKKB our right about titansfan24
beimg right, am I right about that?
be kinda cool to go and get some outographs from your favorite palyers, well AN autograph, well if you can get the primadonna to sign, well if he doesn;t charge you for it!
I dont agree with a SB team having to play another game due to the unnecessary potential for injury and player pay issues.
I do agree though that the pro bowl is changed to where the players hold an 80/20 voting power block over fans which are dumbasses and more often than not make very bad selections. Pretty much like voting in presedential elections.
I believe what you are remembering is the College All-Star game that would be played the week before the Hall of Fame game. If memory serves me correct, it was usually (if not always) played at Soldiers' Field in Chicago and featured the previous year's Super Bowl winners against a team of incoming rookies from the College ranks in a warm-up game. Friends and I used to call it a refresher game; a game designed to re-educate the viewers of the game of football since they hadn't seen a real game since the previous January. Of course now we have indoor football that totally screws up the minds of any gridiron fans and various semi-pro leagues throughout the country supposedly designed to give the undrafted college players yet another opportunity to try and impress NFL scouts who didn't grade them high enough at any one of the TOO NUMEROUS east-west, north-south, pink-blue 'all-star' games after the college bowl season was done.
A question I would like to pose is this: If these pre-season games are exhibition to allow the coaches the opportunity to evaluate the younger players before setting their regular season rosters, why do we have to play reguslar season prices for the seats to view these second rate games?
Risk risk risk Blah Blah Blah panzies panzies panzies. I am tired of hearing excuses instead of just getting it done. Too much money being trown around and this is why it will never happen...too many people SCARED of what might happen. I wish they would play to play and not about all the dollars they might lose when these guys already have 5 lifetimes of money in the coffers.
