Settle for just Champions of the USA
Aug 26, 2008 | 2:33PM | report this

My friend and I were talking about how why KG, Paul Pierce, or even Ray Allen didn't go on the olympic team. Heres the things that we thought why;

1. They wanted to be with their families.

2. They were tired from all the playoff games they had to play.

3. They are just getting older and they want to conserve what they have left for the Celtics.

4. They wanted to give someone else who might not have made it a chance to play and possibly win a medal.

5. They were just satisfied with being NBA Champions.

6. Ray and Kevin already won gold medals and Pierce had played for the world championship in 2002 and finished 6th of 16 teams.

7. Injuries during the season to the Big 3.

tell me what you think!

just my opinion!

An Overrated Pitcher
Aug 19, 2008 | 12:13PM | report this

Tim Wakefield, of the Boston Red Sox, is very overrated (and overpaid but most are) and if I was Theo Epstein I would try to trade him or release him. Lets look at his stats; In 534 games(2768 IP) he has only 6 shutouts he has allowed 2664 hits and 2821 runs(1322 were earned runs) In that 2664 hits 356 were homeruns. He has walked 1066 batters. His career ERA is 4.30. Batters have hit 547 doubles and 48 triples in his career. His career OPG is .327. His career SLG is .414 and his career OPS is .740.

His knuckle ball doesn't fool anyone. Sometimes when I watch him throw a knuckle ball in a clutch situation I feel bad for the rest of the team because you know the batter is gonna hit it. He is always hurt but still plays so the whole team can suffer too. Boston needs a better bullpen. It would be better if they got rid of Tim Wakefield. His career earnings $46,604,000 (estimate) (not including bonuses)

Here is a site with all his stats see for yourself!

NFL Probowl needs to be changed
Aug 13, 2008 | 8:31PM | report this

Yes I believe that the probowl should be AFC vs. the NFC but what about the old days when the team that won the superbowl has to play a team of probowlers that aren't on the superbowl winning team. I think that when a team wins the superbowl they have the right to be cocky but I believe to be really considered the best football team in the world they have to beat a team of probowlers.

ps basically what i mean is i know its not going to happen but it would be cool to witness this as a fan of the NFL

thx

What the writer is referring to is the old college all star game, where the NFL champs (Was no super bowl yet) played a team comprised of the previous seasons college all stars. Otto Graham played one of his greatest games in one of these. Some of the guys who write about these things are too young to even know about what actually happened. captjack 74 yrs. old.

THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY ^

I THINK IT WOULD BE A FUN GAME TO WATCH! THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY. I KNOW ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN I JUST WISH I COULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO WATCH SOMETHING LIKE THIS!

Superbowl champs! (if they had Carson Palmer)
Jul 07, 2008 | 7:48PM | report this

I truely believe that if the Vikings had a young gun like Carson Palmer they would be the favorites to win the superbowl. They are all around but don't have a proven qb. Although Jackson did ok last year, I think we need Palmer because our defense isn't getting any younger. If they don't get a great qb they are wasting the excellent team they have together (except qb) I think T jack will be good for the future but we need to win and we need to win now! I am not a huge fan of Carson but he is young, proven, and a great qb.

leave comments about my blog please! thanks

Pats vs. vikes (if they had a better qb) for the superbowl!!!!!!

Brett Favre coming out of retirement rumors
Jul 07, 2008 | 7:36PM | report this

This is getting on my nerves. Why doesn't Favre hold a press conference about these rumors? When people close to him tell us he is considering coming back why doesn't he tell them to zip it and tell them what he has decided 100% for sure. He is so annoying ever year for months he keeps us waiting to tell us about his future in the NFL. He has held so many  press conferences telling us that he is undecided about his future it is driving me absolutely crazy. This makes me think he is kinda of selfish. I don't want to think of him of being selfish. USE YOUR BRAIN HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE AND TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON, I KNOW BRETT IT'S HARD FOR YOU , BUT YOU NEED TO HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!! Also what is up with Packer fans? They are so obnoxious and they must not have anything to do besides foam at the mouth when they are watching/talking or anything that has to do with Packers. Even the stupid and ugly green and yellow colors packer fans are like omg packer colors! GET A LIFE YOU STUPID IDIOTS! PLEASE FIND A HOBBY IM TRYING TO HELP YOU!!!

please leave comments on what you think of my blog! thanks
