Senators and Bruins Struggling, Habs Without Top Scorer and Sabres Prove That They Are Beatable, Leafs Need To Strike Now
Nov 07, 2006 | 2:19PM | report this
The Toronto Maple Leafs are off to a suprising 9-5-3 start, which could have been 11-3-3 if they were facing the Ottawa Senators right now.  The Leafs sit 2nd in their divison and 4th in the conference right now, although they have played 17 games, which is tied for the most in the NHL.  Still, they have played very well up until this point.  The Leafs schedule in Novemember sees them playing a lot of weak teams and they need to take advantage of it.  The Leafs have a gone a solid 3-1, so far and need to keep the good play up.  The Leafs play the team with the 2nd worst record in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Bruins 4 times this month and they can win everyone single one of them.  The Bruins Off-Season's prizes,  Zdeno Chara and Marc Savard who are making a whopping 12.5 Million combined, have not been great.  The Leafs also play the Islanders and Capitals this month, which they are favourites in.  But, you never know the Leafs they seem to play good against the stronger teams and bad against the weaker teams.
