"They traded for the 23-year-old seven-footer, a former No. 1 overall draft pick of the Washington Wizards, because they could use a prototype power forward who can rebound like Kevin Garnett, defend like Karl Malone, score like Tim Duncan and be a perennial candidate for the NBA’s J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award.."
Wow, that was very high expectations. Wouldn't you say?
Man up Kwame! You already apologized. Show us you are really sorry and show some heart. Show us you want it bad. I know there's lots of other players out there who are dying for your $9 Million dollar opportunity. Tonight, show us at least 14 pts and 12 rebs and that's a start.
heh, with all due respect for the logic in what you say, with his size and God given ability after all these years it's a bit naive to think Kwame is really sorry and will suck it up and take up some slack. He's "sorry" in the same way my oldest daughter was around 5 years old when she kept sneaking into the bathroom and twisting up toilet paper and burning it. We talked to her, we gave her time outs, took away TV. she kept doing it. I finally said you're getting a spanking if you do it again. She did it again and got caught and started screaming 'I'M SORRY I'M REALLY SORRY! I'LL BE GOOD!" She wasn't sorry for burning the tissue. She was sorry she got called on it. Kwame's problem is he's too low intelligence to correct the problem.

That above example sounds like bad parenting to me. I don't see what that has to do with Kwame. He'll be fine as long as the fans don't boo him again every time he touches the ball. Shocking that something like that would mess him up.
The boo's were a reality check for him. He deserves it to wake up. So he can say to himself, man, why are they booing? Cuz my dear friend, you are not good!
I am currently watching phil jackson and kwame brown trying to combine and blow this game for the Lakers, its amazing how derek, kobe, farma, sasha, rony can all turn in solid efforts and kwame can find a wat to blow it. Lets not boo him cuz hes such a baby he plays even worse. Now if someone feels like hitting him with a baseball bat im all ears. just kidding. kind of.
oh my god kobe is playing so #### awsome and he only has 9 points but he is just playing great 11 assists still third quarter. not to mention fish needs two more for career high... still doesnt ease the pain of losing Ariza.

Lakers were doin fine with Turiaf, then comes Brown and lakers blow a lead. Not trying to say anything, but once Turiaf came back in, we came back up. Kwame is showing very little effort on D. They ran a train through Kwame tonight.
LakersNation
Now we know why the hell Brown has been sitting on the bench for the Lakers. He's about as useful to the franchise as a used condom is to a prostitute. What the hell did either Jordan or Kupchak or Phil Jackson ever see in this guy ? His only redeeming quality may well be that he can find his way in and out of the locker room before and after a game. And that's saying something as to his overall intelligence if any.
LakersNation has a good point. Last year, Kwame's injury was horrible for the Lakers. Their defense never was the same, and coach and players publicly pined for Kwame. This year, however, Brown isn't the same defender. True, he hasn't played too many games yet, but his defensive let down seems more of an effort problem than a rusty skills problem.
It was cool how Kobe, Lamar and Co. looked for Brown early. They know they need him and they looked to make sure his confidence was going to help him perform.
Too bad the Lakers' front office doesn't have people's backs the way the players do.
Yes, there's a reason why he's coming off the bench behind Bynum. It's obvious.
Tom7,
Injuries will plague a team. That's what it did last year. That's what it did to the Clippers team this year, and that's what it wants to do to the Lakers once again this year. People still say that kwame's still not 100% recovered. If that's the case, I hope he's a least a bit better when he's fully recovered. And defend like Karl Malone, Kwame doesn't have the will to do so. He lets Marcus Camby go by him as if Kwame was a turtle. They say he's trying, but is he really trying on D? I doubt it

What are you alluding to concerning Kwame ? Ten orders of fries and burgers for he and his teammates after the game or ten pts and ten rebounds per game ? 'cause he sure as hell has never been able to do that in Washington much less being asked to do that in La La Land. You're giving this guy far too much credit at this juncture.
