ESPN's Monday Night Football missed an opportunity to call what turned out to be a good football game Monday night between the Falcons and the Bengals. Maybe because it was pre-season or maybe because it was the same day as the plea and the press conferenses these guys decided to comment on the Micheal Vick case for most of the broadcast. It was pathetic. They had special guest on the sidelines and in the booth. For the most part they ignored the game on the field. The irony of it was as they were talking about how losing Vick was going to impact Atlanta, the Falcons were driving down the field to score the go ahead touchdown.
The Falcons played a good football game. Harrington had a solid game. The offense moved the ball and the defense had the same problems they have had since 1966. They did not appear to miss Vick for one instant. As a matter of fact they may have played better without him. They looked better than the Bengals.
Monday Night Football dropped the ball and I hope they are bombarded with complaints. I'm going to write them. If you agree with me I wish you would too. When I tune into football, I want to see football, not the world news.
I am a huge NFL and NASCAR fan. I live in Georgia with my beautiful wife Tiffany and my wonderful son Ethan.
I love the Falcons, she loves the Titans, Ethan is one year old and undecided, but he sure looks good in RED & BLACK.
