I was recently watching College Gameday on ESPN the day of the UNC-Duke game. They were trying to figure out why Tyler Hansbrough was so good, they went to a segment about Tylers personal life, and he described a game that sounds sooo painful... TEXAS STYLE PING-PONG!! The rules are the first guy to score 2 points gets to make the other guy lift his shirt up and he gets to hit a ping-pong ball AS HARD AS HE CAN....

Now this if anything is a reminder that these guys are just crazy college kids, since we look at them almost as professional players. Now i am a huge UNC fan but i have to admit, this is a very funny game, but come on.... what do u think the guys in the locker think when they see him with huge welts on his stomach.  THey probably think someone is beating the poor boy, who u think could take care of himself... well i guess thats why they call him...

THen the HEELS go on to win tonight 76-68 way to go TARHEELS... they are now ACC Champions for the 29th time, all this amazingly though without tyler getting to go to the free throw line... AT ALL. THis is only the 2nd time in Tyler's career at UNC!

Okay this week I haven’t been able to be as into my sports.... too much stuff to do so i only have my top 3 THINGS driving me crazy sorry!!

#3- Kobe and Shaq buildup- Okay they really built up the hype for the first Lakers-Suns game with Shaq on the Suns. It really got on my nerves because there was absolutely no conflict or anything, the way they built this up i expected these two guys to break out in a freakin fight!!! WEll all in all it was QUITE!!! Anti-climactic!

#2- RAIN RAIN RAIN and RULES!!!-  Okay IT NEVER EVER rains in "Sunny California!" EXCEPT when there is a NASCAR race in town and thanks to this stupid rain my man, Kasey Kahne is starting 20th this weekend, because of this stupid rule that for the first five races of the season if weather cancels qualifying the field is set by owner points at the end of last season. A HORRIBLE RULE!!

#1- Duke losing to the Miami Hurricanes!!!  This one doesn’t drive me crazy as much as it made me bust out laughing. For the FIRST time in 45 years!!. Well if dook had lost to St. Johns today it defiantly would have shown that they are going way downhill but of course they had to win.

THis is a new thing i will put up every Saturday listing the top ten things that DRIVE ME CRAZY from this week

#10-    Roger Clemens- Okay I loved Roger as a pitcher and I respected him as one of the best players of the era but COME ON!! I am tired of the recaps of his hearing and all the theories about what happend. He should admit that he did it and just get this all over with.

#9-    Bill Freakin Belichick!- I dont care about the STUPID Spygate thing, what is so aboslutly horrible about this? He taped a couple of games OOOOO wat are we gonna do, aparently take it to Congress!! We all know he is not the only coach doing this but he is the only one STUPID enough to get caught!!.

#8-    Ashley Judd- Well apparently Dario Franchitti's wife Ashley Judd isnt quite important enough yet to be able to break dress code, i understand the no short pants rule for men and the open toe shoes for anyone it is a safety issue but no dresses?? is she going to get sucked up into a giant garage fan and have it get ripped up?? i dont see the problem but i think if nascar doesnt want her to do it she shouldnt and just wear jeans a team t-shirt and a ball cap like the rest of the wives!

#7- Everyone thinks Dale Jr is going to have a great season because he got some luck and won the Bud Shootout and a Duel WHOO HOO!!! This cannot project how the rest of his season is going to go.

#6- I have no idea what this Kelvin Sampson dude did at Indiana... it sounds like he made some bad phone calls about something or another and then lied about some stuff, I DONT CARE!! So people just shut up about it!

#5- NBA sissys, all the babies in the NBA, like Kobe Bryant with that torn ligament in his finger, OH NO hes gonna die! I say we load these babies up in some hockey pads and see if they survive getting hit by 200+ pound men, the hockey guys play with broken BONES!! and this sissy is complaining about a hurt pinky finger.

#4- Okay i will go ahead and voice my opinions Golf, I cant stand it. It has to be the most boring "sport" to watch on TV oh my god i just dont get what is entertaining about it. I say we should ban Golf on TV and put on a better sport to fill up the time spot.

#3- There is no love for NASCAR on TV ever!! It is the day before the biggest race of the season and a GOLF tournament that NO ONE CARES ABOUT is  getting more air time than it is. The day after a race the winner might get a whole 10 seconds of air time on Sportscenter but Some stupid basketball game between two teams who no one cares about gets 2 or 3 minutes. WHY??

#2- Its halfway through the regular season in NBA basketball WOOP-DE-DOO!! Most of the teams have played around 50 games, and now it is time for everyones "favorite" time of the NBA season, the All Star game or as i call it "THE GATHERING OF THE EGOS!!!!" WHo cares about it No one is gonna watch it!

#1- The top thing bothering me right now is how Dook fans are still bragging about how great they did when the beat Carolina, i dont know if i was the only one who actually watched that game but neither of the teams did a good job! Everywhere you looked the entire game there was one player from each team with his #### on the floor!! Come on just wait till March 8!!

Well i was checking my email yesterday on yahoo.com and i came across an article that was titled The NFL fan's Guide To NASCAR I couldn't stop myself from reading this article It compared some of the popular Nascar drivers to some of the popular Football players...

heres how it panned out

 Jeff Gordon- Tom Brady... I hav e to agree they are both extremely annoying and stuck up cause they are both "soooo great"

. Dale Jr- Brett Favre- I HAve to DISAGREE!! Brett FAvre is soooo much better and has accomplished so much more than jr has. Tony Stewart- Randy Moss- They are both crazy guys who dont like to play by the rules

Jimmie Johnson- LaDainian Tomlinson- Well Jimmie has won back to back Championships but LT hasnt won one yet so I dont think i can agree.

Robby Gordon- Terrell Owens- I see no resemblence, Robby can be annoying when he clutters up the back row and wrecks half the field but hes no TO (And i personally cant stand either of them!)

Mark Martin- Tony Romo- Well dispite the like 20 year age difference i guess i could kinda agree with mark's 4 championship runner ups, he is always second best kinda like Romo but I still kinda iffy on this one

Kevin Harvick- Peyton Manning- Ehh im not so sure i guess i could see it,

Kurt Busch- Eli Manning- Oh come on Eli doesn't go picking fights with guys who he knows he would get his #### kicked by... hes smarter than that.

Well all in all i dont think yahoosports has a very good hand on their Nascar drivers but it is one way to get Football fans into NASCAR

Unless you are an avid Hockey fan then you have probably never heard of Richard Zednik.

Well here is what happened: Zednik was skating into the right corner of the Sabres’ zone when Ollie Jokinen was upended by Sabres defenseman Brian Campbell. As Jokinen was falling head-first to the ice, his right skate went up and caught Zednik in the neck. Despite the horrible gash to his neck, Zednik immediately skated to the bench, leaving a trail of blood all across the ice. A towel was applied to his neck and he was escorted to the dressing rooms. An ambulance took him to Buffalo General (haha the hospital where I was born) to undergo surgery. I doubt he knew right away but the skate had severed coratid artery.

His life-saving surgery went well and he is now recoving among his family. During a Panthers press conference today the team said that doctors said that Zednik was awake, alert, and able to speak, he was actually wondering when he could go back to practice.

I really hope that Zednick can will have a great and quick recovery so he can come back and contribute to his game

       With one minute left the score is 82-80 Clemson was up the Clemson guy misses his free throw and Carolina gets the ball they run down the court Thomas makes the shot to tie it up, this was the first time that the Tarheels have tied it up after being down by at least 15 in the second half, 19.4 seconds left Clemsons ball, Hansbrough knocks the ball out of bounds with 00.6 left not enough time for a shot, Clemson inbounds the ball!! We're going to OVERTIME!!

      In overtime Carolina had their first lead of the game, just to let Clemson tie it back up, (if you can't tell i am writing this as it is happening so sorry if there is some things that sound repetitive or whatever) To sum up the 5:00 overtime, Clemson had posession of the ball about 4 minutes and it was all passing, Carolina is down 87-84 with 2:06 left Hansbrough makes both foul shots Tarheels up to 87-86. THen he fouls and the Clemson player doesnt make his shot, they get the ball and then Tyler makes up for that horrible foul with those 2 points. 52.9 there is a time out. THis game is killing me Carolina has come back from an absolutley horrible regulation time to tie it up and then pull ahead in OT. I hate media timeouts they should play the games uninteruppted!! Its imbounded Olgelsby makes the 3 for clemson then they foul, Carolina gets to shoot the first shot is GOOD!!!! the second shot is GOOD!!! its all tied up with 37 left!! Clemson dribbles around then they knock it out, Clemson ball with 03.2 left. Shot clock violation on Clemson its a Carolina ball!!! Oh my God i think we are going to DOUBLE FREAKING OVERTIME!! HAHA ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Hansbrough gets the first shot of the 2nd overtime it is 92-90!! Ellingtons shot wont go!! Hansbrough is fouled!!! the first shot is GOOD!!! The second shot is GOOD!!! They foul Mays only one of his shots is good. 3:17 left, Hansbrough walks it. David potter gets a shot off!! Green brings it down and is fouled by Stitt he fouls out. Greens first shot is good!! His second shot is GOOD!! Carolina is up by 3. Tyler steals it!! Potter Fouls TYLER!! his first shot is GOOD!! His second shot is GOOD!! Carolina by 5! 1:20 left! Ellington shoots Carolina is up 100-93!! and someone is fouled and their shots are good it is 102-93 with 16.1 left its all over!! Hansbroughs shots are good!!  CAROLINA comes back frome a 15 point deficit to win in the Dean Dome!! 103-93!! HOLY ####!!

    THat was definatly a great great game!! 2 overtimes and 103 points, half of which it seemed like were Tyler Hansbrough's foul shots. WOW that is all i can say is WOW. THey still didnt have Lawson but Thomas played great.

   Yea the Tarheels did suck #### in the regulation time but when it came to overtimes it was obviously all Carolina by the second overtime. If you say that Carolina did not fight for that win tonight then you are #### NUTS!!

      Clemson now possesses one of those records that you dont wanna have, they have lost 53 straight in the Dean Smith Center from 1926 until now!! haha that has to be the saddest record to hold knowing that it is almost physically and mentally impossible for you to win at this one school!!

Well all in all it was an okay race i guess

    Dale JR winning in his brand new #88 National Guard car was good for him but ( i know i will lose some friends over this) I had to admit i was pulling for Smoke in the last few laps.

    I figured i could cheer for tony since you and I knew there was no chance for Kasey to win that was just a plain fact.

   If you ask me it wasn't a real exciting race, there was the Bill Elliot getting stuck at the top of the track that wasted like 2 or 3 laps under caution till they could get it off the top of the track. Then there was Jamie McMurray running up and getting hit by Denny Hamlin, so i guess Denny is right back where he left off WRECKING PEOPLE!!.

    But back to it, i thought it was kinda funny how the two guys that everyone loves and i personally am getting tired of got stuck in the practice wreck, Jimmie "freakin champion" Johnson and Jeff "Pain in the ####" Gordon. THey did make their ways back up to the front of the by the end of the race but they didnt have long enough to knock off Dale and Tony. THANK GOD!!

   Well lets just hope that the Daytona 500 is a lot better!!

The Rest of the Best:

  Well the Carolina Hurricanes got completly DEMOLISHED by the New Jersey Devils 6-1 wow that was a sad game i was flipping between this game and the race at first and then i realized what a complete waste of time and i watched the race. IT was just goal after goal after goal.

  The Carolina Tarheels play tonight against Clemson... i think that they will win tonight because they will probably have Lawson back by tonight and that should help them because it seems that with him playing there is just more chemistry and they work better today

   There is Daytona 500 Qualifying today at 1:10 on Fox i believe

Well watch what you wanna i recommend the Daytona 500 Qualifying and the Carolina Basketball game at 6:00

Hey everyone

                       I figure i should tell you a little about me... My name is Alex, i love pretty much all sports EXCEPT!!! Major league Basketball its to Show-offy for me

But I do like my sports some say i am addicted to them

NHL- I love my Carolina Hurricanes but i also like my definatly suckish Buffalo Sabres the sabres only suck cause they were stupid enough to trade away Briere and Drury their Captian and Assistant Capitan... they had to trade one at least due to the budget but no one said anything about the two of them!!

NFL- I dont have a real favorite football team, i do like the NY Giants and No i dont like them just cause they won the superbowl, I ABSOLUTLY #### hate the New England Patriots, I do like the Buffalo Bills (in case u havent figured it out yet i am originally from Buffalo) but if the Bills would just stop playing that Jack #### J.P. Losman and put in Trent Edwards they would be a hell of a lot better

NASCAR- Duh Kasey Kahne is my favorite... The Newest Budweiser Man, he had a horrible year last he needs to haul #### this year  to keep up with the trend of one good year one bad year

MLB- YANKEES ALL THE WAY, again bein a New York Girl at heart i gotta go with the yankees, other than losing Torre who they have had as a manager for god knows how many years, they should have a good year coming up if keep working with Joba Chamberlain and get him to work to his full potential he will be a great player and just work with the rest of the pitchers they should do pretty good and hopefully not get beat out by the Indians again this year
