Josh Q. Public:In every class, there’s always one joker who thinks that he’s smarter than me. In this class, that happens to be you. Isn’t it, Mayonnaise? -Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! By now you know. You know about OJ Mayo. You know about Mayo’s past antics in high school. You know Mayo quit USC after only one season. You know Mayo is projected to be a lottery pick in this year’s NBA draft. What does he care? What does he care that the dust still hasn’t even settled on the Reggie Bush fiasco yet? USC is cloaked in shame. Shame, I tell you! You do that, you go to the box, you know. Two minutes, by yourself. You know. And you feel shame. You know. And then you get free. It’s gonna be more than two minutes for this one. More than two minutes unless USC does the right thing here. More than two minutes unless USC fires Tim Floyd. Unless they fire Pete Carroll. Unles they fire Mike Garrett. Sue you. Sue everybody. And the people you work with and you handle, I will probably sue them too. Fire everybody. Make a clean start. That’s what I’d do. But who am I? I’m no Frank Rizzo.

JQP and Lisa, I have such mixed emotions over Reggie and O.J. Are all of the allegations really true or is it "behind the scene folks" going after an excellent university? I need more facts on these two issues. Reports such as these really tear me up. It is so much like political issues...you never really know facts from fiction. Best to both of you.

Considering that it was his intention to use USC to hone his skills whilst waiting for the NBA to come knocking . It just proves to me that though he thought he was smarter than the average bear. Yogi Bear is hell of a lot smarter.
Now comes word that the NBA and NCAA will conduct their own investigation into the matter and the allegations that've arisen.
His agent though not yet running for the hills will have a great deal of explaining to do.
Bill Duffy of BDA Inc . As O J's representative one has to understand that we've got to take care of a commodity that's about to make us millions. It's good to be a king.

You of all people ought to know that they won't be firing anyone on the Trojans' athletics staff. However it'd be appropriate if the Trojans themselves actually do something proactive rather than burying their heads in the sand like an ostrich or emu. But they're no different than the members of Congress who'll often do the same thing.
When you've got the likes of Bill Duffy (l)(/strong)hanging around like a parasite with his minions doing things at his behest. Then you oughtn't to be surprised by all of this.
However what's even stranger is the asinine response of USC and the fact that they're acting like this was something that they weren't aware of. That's like a general who sees his troops falling on the field of battle and think that there's nothing that he can do.
I'm suprised Lisa didn't defend USC more than that...ha ha. We'll have to see what he does in the pros and see if he keeps his head in the game. By the way......whaaaaaaat's uuuup!!! I'm starting my last semester this week and so far I'm set to graduate with honors in two degrees. I just finished 21 hours last semester......6 A's and a B:)
The NCAA may well be looking for a way this all to disappear. USC is one of the programs that they know brings in millions into their coffers. And any major punishment meted out to the program they may well feel'll alienate the USC athletics' program in the eyes of the public.
On both sides of the equation everyone has obfuscated their responsibilities. So what the hell the more thing allegedly change the more they remain the same.
This certainly won't be the last time that we'll hear of something like this happening. And until Myles Brand steps out of his ivory tower and does something then we'll see a repeat of these sort of infractions !
He makes 'Bud' Selig seem like an intellectual...Myles Brand of the NCAA

no one from the USC staff will get fired because of this investigation. The NBA needs to make stricter laws on the topic of Recruiting Violations. OJ Mayo should get some kind disciplinary action because everyone knows he took the money but he won't because the NBA has nothing on the topic at this time. But look for the nba to make disciplinary actions for these types of problems in the future.
