Josh Q. Public: The stars at night, are big and bright. Deep in the heart of Texas. -June Hershey
Public Service Announcement: OK, here we go! OK, do you believe now? If not now, when? The Boston Celtics have the best record in basketball. The Boston Celtics just snatched a 22-point deficit out of the jaws of the Heavyweight Champeens of the World. Snatched a 22-point deficit out of the jaws of the Heavyweight Champeens of the World with an inspired performance by Paul Pierce. The Truth. The Truth is, he’s the most underrated player in the world, and nobody can tell me different. Nobody. Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. It’s the Truth. He willed the Celtics to victory. Willed the Celtics to victory sparking a fourth-quarter rally. And you saw the dunk. With authority! Don’t fake the funk on a nasty dunk! That nasty dunk gave the Celtics their first lead of the game. The Spurs kept it interesting. Champeens of the World will do that. Kept it interesting until…And I will eat them in the rain. And in the dark. And on a train. Sam I Am! Release. Rotation. Splash. That’s why he’s here. To take that shot. The shot for three, and it’s G double-O D. Ballgame! Isn’t that enough? You need more? More proof. The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire. The Celtics are on fire. Have been all season. But if you need more. More proof. This stretch right here will give it to you. The Celtics beat the Spurs last night. Beat the Spurs in the first game of a brutal four-game stretch. Stretch Armstrong. Stretch Cunningham. The Celtics play Houston tonight. The Celtics play Dallas Thursday. The Celtics play New Orleans Saturday. When all is said and done, the Celtics will be only the second team in NBA history to play four straight games, all on the road against teams that are at least 20 games over .500. That’s a tough stretch. But while everybody’s yipping about how good the West is. While everybody’s yapping about how much better the West is. While everybody’s yipping and yapping how so far superior the West is, the Celtics will be balling. Basketballing. It starts again tonight. It starts again tonight against the Houston Rockets. The red hot Rockets. The Celtics are 13-2 in the second half of back-to-back games. The Celtics have won twelve of their last thirteen overall. The Celtics already have more victories than they’ve had in any season since 1990-91. The buck stops here.

That is excellent research! How do you do that?
By the way (and my tongue is in my cheek), best team in the East, the Celtics are doing this with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Sam Cassell -- all 3 WESTERN CONFERENCE TRANSFERS! Coincidence? ;-)
Yeah, I know they are Celtics; like I said, I was just teasing you "tongue in cheek."
I'm an Ainge fan and have followed his career since college when he broke Notre Dame's heart in the NCAAs. So, as a long time Celtics fan, I'm right there with you.
Great win for your boys, JQP. I was watching early when they were down 35-15 and turned over to the Avs-Wild game. When I turned it back they were up 62-59, Wow. Watched the rest of the way. Defense was awesome, although Duncan looks slower and slower all the time. Cassell was clutch. Think you have a winner on your hands...tonight a NBA championship preview?
championship preview? i still think its funny that as hot as the rockets are, no one believes in them. i don't either. just seems like smoke and mirrors.
avs/wild- the wild just cant seem to score goals. i liked their trade deadline moves getting tougher but somebodys got to put the biscuit in the basket. maybe not though, backstrom's playing out of his mind.

12 points huh? I don't see that happening. Actually, I'm not sure if the Rockets care who thinks what about them, not even there own fans. the us against the world mentallity is very previlent in there interviews.
ram- i know, and i get it. you can't take anything away from what they're doing but still. i just don't see them as a threat to anyone when the chips are down. and yes 12. the celtics will kill them tonight. mark my words. mark them, i say!
even though you didn't answer the question, it's good. understand I am a fan of KG and the boys, but if they loose to the Rockets, hopefully you all will give respect and we don't have to hear the Ray Allen not playing excuse. let it be known that Yao is out as well.
I'll say this, you see it one way and I see it another. I expect a good game and will enjoy it. it would be nice to have a war like we did in 85. fights and all
Been a while since I checked in. Still chest thumping I see..lol.
Only problem I see in your progniscation is your working with an old bone yard. Old bones get sore and don't mend as fast. There's a hell of a lot of games to be played.
Remember how the crow tasted after the Bowl? Keep up the support tho. I love it.
UNBELIEVABLE comeback. Spurs will DESTROY their next game! I'm predicting that these two teams will meet in the Finals, barring any further major injuries to either...
BACK TO BACKS FOR AN OLD TEAM DOESN'T WORK. THE EXCELLENT COMEBACK LAST NIGHT TO A FADING SPURS TEAM WILL TAKE TO MUCH OUT OF CELTICS. LIVE IN L.A. AND CASSELL WAS MIA IN BACK TO BACK CLIPPER GAMES. PLUS CELTICS HAVEN'T PLAYED MANY GAMES WHERE THE COMPETITION IS AS TOUGH AS THE NIGHT EFORE. THE SPURS ARE JUST TO OLD NO LONGER THE BEST IN THE WEST, SO YOU CAN WRITE THEM OFF NO MORE TITLES FOR THEM.
Here's Tuesday night's tv schedule around 8pm CT:
FOX American Idol - I think not, no, never
NBC The Biggest Loser - Well, nearly
ABC Dancing With The Stars - Only if Dirk or KG is on
CBS Big Brother - You're kidding, right
IND Lakers @ Mav
TNT Boston @ H-Town
The last two are clearly Picture in Picture material. Great games, baby.
