Public Service Announcement: OK, here we go! We gotta win that fight tonight. We gotta get even with those Socs! Let’s do it for Johnny, man. We’ll do it for Johnny! Let’s do it for Junior. Let’s do it for Junior Seau. Let’s make Junior a part of ever. Junior’s doing his part. Did his part on Sunday. Chargers with the ball on the Patriots four. 9:22 left in the third. Pats up by a frightening five. Pats up by a tightening five. Pats up by a slightening five. Big third and one. Huge third and one. Immense third and one. The play day of the day. The play of the year. For all the marbles. Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles. Junior Seau’s got yarbles. And he’s got big balls. And she’s got big balls. But we’ve got the biggest balls of them all! Rivers to Michael Turner. Pow, Alice! Right in the kisser. Junior Seau broke into the backfield to punch Michael Turner right in the kisser for a two-yard loss. The Chargers would have to settle for a field goal. Their fourth field goal of the game. The song remains the same. They would not score again. Junior Seau did not have that chance last year. Out with a broken arm last year. Gone surfing last year. Gone surfing last year after seventeen years of distinguished service in the NFL. Gone surfing last year after twelve consecutive Pro Bowls in the NFL. Gone surfing last year thirteen years removed from his last Super Bowl. And now, here is. Here is Junior Seau back on the road to glory. Thirteen years removed from his days as the Tasmanian Devil. Thirteen years removed from the Lightening Bolt Dance. Thirteen years removed from the fist pumping. Thirteen years removed from the sixteen tackles in the AFC Championship Game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thirteen years removed from the humiliation at the hands of the 49ers. Redemption. By the hand of the Almighty. We forward in this generation, triumphantly. Won’t you help to sing. These songs of freedom? ’Cause all I ever have, redemption songs. We gotta win that fight tonight. We gotta get even with those Socs! Let’s do it for Johnny, man. We’ll do it for Johnny! Let’s do it for Junior. Let’s do it for Junior Seau.

He still leads the league in fist pumping when he finaly makes that one tackle though. Also among league leaders in towel waving. Imagine what he could do with your pom poms Josh.
I am pulling for Junior. He's deserving of it. The 3rd down tackle of Michael Turner was a momentum changer. It could have been a game changer.
He may have 1 tackle per game this season in his 17yr career as a Linebacker in the NFL, on the undefeated Pats, but he won't be sitting on his couch eating popcorn wishing he could play in the SuperBowl. He'll be in it. My team is out, but I've got to support a fellow Samoan, SoCal Native.

It's been a long time coming and no I'm not talking erectile dysfunction here. Seau's been due this for a long time. When they went to the Superbowl under Bobby Ross they had their as*ses handed to 'em on a silver platter and you know that it didn't sit well with Seau at the time.
This'll more than compensate for that once they win the Superbowl.
I know that you mightn't like NASCAR but that's what my latest post is about as such. But you can rest assured that the pic of Love-Hewitt will more than make up for any disappointment that you might have.
The post is titled There's An Ill Wind Blowing Across The Plains And It Doesn't Bode Well For The Sport ! Let me know what you think as to the merits of the piece ? I'll look forward to reading your comments.
i was going to blow this off as just the continuation of the pat love fest blog until i seen referenses to two of my favorite movies. do you think any one else remembers A Clock Work Orange, way to dig deep man.
GIANTS 31 pats 28.
nice post JoshQ...Countryjag, even if it is only one (which it hasn't been all season, look it up) id rather take one really great one than 10 sloppy ones.
I'm happy for Junior. He claims to be a life-long Charger and still has a residence and resteraunt in San Diego. I'm sure once he completes "graduate school" he will live here full time. He is not the player he once was, but he did come up big at the goal line.
countryjag, your stats are wrong. Click the Regular Season button on whatever site you visited.
Seau has 16 tackles in the post-season.
The fool had 73 or 74 during the first 16 games, depending on your source.
Peace, my little droogies!

The longevity of Seau's career notwithstanding we tend to overlook how good this guy really is. At the height of his career he was an outstanding player. And though in some ways he may well have tailed off somewhat. He's still got what it takes to go out there and get the job done.
He, Bruschi and Vrabel are too be admired and I bet that a number of teams in the NFL wouldn't mind having all three of those players ?
StormCharger - just curious where did you ever hear that Mosi Tatupu had anger issues? In his 13 years of playing for the Pats I had never heard that or anything like that.

Once the game is over one can only hope that Seau's dream will have been realized.
I don't know if you're much of a college basketball fan. But check out my latest post and let me know what you think of the piece. It's titled If It Feels Good Then It's Got To Be Good !
It deals with the resurrection of the Baylor University basketball program. I'll look forward to reading your comments.

Though not a hear rendering loss I do believe that the loss of Neal led to our demise. Once he went out the O line proved to be really ineffective. But I've got to commend the Giants on a well executed game plan. They threw not only Brady but the entire team out of their 'comfort zone' .
See my lastest piece titled This Just Might Be The One Superbowl That I Don't Mind Which Team Wins Or Loses !
