The Post Season
Jan 03, 2007 | 10:28AM | report this

Okay, so this is the the time of year that every football fan wishes they could still watch their team play.  I have to admit that I was one of the fans that didn't want Garcia to replace McNabb.  Since hes has, however, I have been very surprised.  I now respect Andy Reid's decision in signing him.  Feeley played well against the Falcons, and I'm guessing the naysayers are taking a big bite out of their big toes.  I remember alot of people who said that Philly was going down, but their record, thus far, has proved otherwise.  The more appearances Philly makes in the postseason, the hungrier the fans and players will be for the big win.  And Andy Reid is getting prepared.  He keeps signing the younger playmakers to contract extensions, focusing on building a serious contending team.  A dynasty, if you will.  I hope that McNabb comes back ready to kick some major NFC #### next season.  Because those Philly fans are as thirsty as an alcoholic for the taste of a Super Bowl win.

So what about the rest of the teams?  The Giants are lucky that Strahan, Tiki, and Burress are making Manning look like a decent QB, because he needs all the help he can get.  And the Cowboys?  Well, Romo has come a long way, but he needs the help of the rest of the team.  And I told you guys about T.O. when he was signed.  Sure, he starts out great, but then his mouth begins to run more than he does.  I'm willing to bet that if Romo threw a pass at T.O.'s open mouth, that it would get caught.  As opposed to his hands.......  The Patriots?  That shut-out to the Dolphins made them look  merely mediocre.  Not like serious contenders.  I believe that the Ravens and the Chargers are dirrty enough to pull out wins, but who knows?

And on that note, I bid you adieu.

Peter and His Power Rankings
Dec 12, 2006 | 6:45PM | report this
Has anyone seen the power rankings for this week? What the hell? What kind of drugs is this guy on? First of all, he placed the Patriots at 7, even after they were shut out by the Dolphins. The DOLPHINS?!?!?! For Godssake, what is this world coming to? And shut OUT....not by a touchdown, not by a field goal, but shut out. The Patriots scored 0. Zilch. So, how can they still be in the top 10? Anyone? Please, fill me in, because this is very perplexing for me.
Not too far behind them at 9, the Dallas Cowboys were sitting pretty. Granted, they did lose to a very good team, but they were slaughtered. That game was not even close. It was no contest. So, how can they not move on the rankings? At least not any big moves?
What is up with this? Where is the so-called justice in these rankings? Oh, I know, there IS NONE! Granted, I am aware at how unpredictable this season has been, but these were drastic losses that should have been given more importance than they were allowed.
Who is this Peter anyway? Why should we give a rat's #### about his opinion?
As far as my Eagles go, they recently lost the cornerstone to their offense, and pulled out a win. Just like they did last week. I hope that I'm not jinxing them, and I am aware that they did move up in the rankings, but am I the only one who senses the unjust reasoning behind this travesty? Am I the only one who is questioning the credibility of these rankings?

NFL Playoffs
Dec 03, 2006 | 2:23PM | report this
Wow, what a crazy NFL season! So many upsets, so many teams struggling because of injuries, but its all apart of the game. Da Bears, the Colts losing to Dallas, Pittsburgh, Dallas' uprising with Tony Romo, the Giants, etc.
So, what is it to be a real fan? Its so easy to cheer for your team when they're winning and everything's peachy, but what about when your star QB is out for the season, which the team had already had some ugly losses, and things aren't looking so good?
What is a good fan to do? Screw the season and hope for a good draft pick so that things might be different next year? Do you pray that the back-up QB your head coach picked up for times like this pulls through and takes one or two for the team and hope that the rest of the team gets motivated enough to win without their leader? Or, do you jump on the current bandwagon team, and cheer for them? Hell no.
A good fan, while they might have other teams that they LIKE, should NEVER, EVER abandon ship, especially to cheer for a rival team!!!! That's called being a traitor, and in war times in the past, people got hung for that type of ####
While football is not nearly as important as war, to some people it may be. For me, I feel like I have weathered too much in the Philadelphia Eagles franchise history to just give up on them now. I'm in this for life. If Rich Kotite can't repel me, then the season loss of Donovan certainly cannot. And nor should anyone else do the same.

BCS Standings

Hey, I disagree wth the expectations on Rutgers. Being a Jersey girl, with Rutgers being the alma mater of some of my siblings, and watching the ganes, I beg to differ with the Fox News expectations of my team. Don't get me wrong, I love Terry and Howie, but I think that Rutgers is undersestimated, and I think that they can do more than people think.
I recognize the game that Ohio and Michigan have, but only if you recogize that Rutgers is for real, and that they want this as much as any Jersey fan.
