4 The Jazz Fans
May 09, 2008 | 1:37AM | report this

There are far too many blogs you read which either start with the word: Lakers, or are about the series and refs and fould and yet end up with one word: Lakers, or even the ones which start out with Jazz and a bright shiny hope but sadly still end up in one word: Lakers.

Its kind of getting old to me!

So i figure this.  I want to start a blog and hear from some Jazz fans! Not to bash on anyone but to talk Jazz and put some effort into a fan base.  Speak up fans because we have the #1 home court advantage! If we have it in the arena then you might as well put it on here!

Lets hear some comments!

Lakers fans plz just leave this one alone.  We know you're cocky.... we also know Kobe got MVP and that Lakers are 6-0 in playoffs.... we know that.  Don't need to tell us again! Don't worry we know!

Good for you! I promise not to mention the "L" word.

One suggestion, in the categories add the word "Basketball", then if people click on the NBA blogs tab on any of the NBA homepage articles your blog will be listed (this is a FoxSports bug).

How do you rate the prospects for tieing the series 2-2?

Greg Ostertag should be in the Hall of Fame.

why are you concerned about Laker fans? speak your mind regardless!!! i'm a Knick fan for life, and i get more #### than you can imagine...but it doesn't fade me a drop. LOL
maybe you should welcome the trash talk and let it help to sharpen your defense skills against any attacks on your team. there are always going to be haters, and people who have no good reason to put things on your blog...but when you get enough practice, you can run them right on out by simply holding your ground and shuttin' them down.

that being said...i understand that the Jazz have a great win percentage at home..the best in the league this year i believe...but that doesn't amount to homecourt advantage. what they need to do right now is get off to a quick start and get the crowd involved. then...no double teaming Kobe! play good solid defense in a man to man fashion, and force Kobe to take over. when his teammates are cold, the Lakers usually lose.

Thanks for the help nba worst! This is my first FOX sports blog so yeah... you can tell its not a masterpiece.

But truthfully the reason i wanted to create a blog like this is to put some effort into creating some fanbase for my team. We have a great fanbase AT the games but once the game is over, whether win or lose, the fans just turn it off until half-an-hour before the next game.

Its true that the jazz's chances of beating the lakers out are... rather dismal. But i strongly believe we can win both at home before giving it all away. This could easily be a 2-2 series by next week. Then who knows... if the jazz build confidence its anybody's game.

Like Suns fans, you guys can't hang. Lakers fans were here even after they lost to PHX in the first round the last two years.

But MAJOR PROPS to you for being one of the more loyal fans to join the blogs and support your team.

Speaking of the JAZZ, the key to your team in defeating the Lakers is ANDREI KIRILENKO.

If he has an all-around great game, the production of the Lakers' Lamar Odom can be offset.

It's as plain and simple as that. It's not Carlos Boozer as we saw in game two because Paul Millsap picked up the slack.

It's not Deron Williams because he will get his, just like Kobe and Pau will get theirs.

Lamar Odom will put up close to a double-double every game.

But if AK47 doesn't play like SPIDERMAN and is not all over the place blocking shots, making threes, stealing the ball, and above all taking the lead and demanding to guard Kobe, then the JAZZ are toast and will get swept out of ENERGYSOLUTIONS ARENA.

What I like about the Jazz is that they have gotten to where they are right now by keeping their core group of guys together. They got a great role-player in Kyle Korver to come off the bench, and that appeared to really help them settle into a solid team game. You look at the teams that blew up their starting line-ups halfway thrugh the season (Phoenix, Dallas, and even Cleveland) and they all became write-offs. I realize Cleveland is still in the playoffs, but we look at their team play now, and it is very hard to see them advancing to the next round.

The Lakers, however (and sorry for mentioning them), were the obvious exception with Pau Gasol, but I honestly believe that Pau would have been an instant inmprovement to any team. Hypothetically speaking, let's say the Trailblazers manufactured a trade to get Gasol, I believe they would have been guaranteed a playoff spot this season because of the type of player Gasol is.

And as for the writing, just keep at it and people will read. I'm still a relative newbie myself to it, but the people here are still reading and commenting (thanks all!). And if I can go off an a completely different subject and brag that my blog about the Toronto Maple Leafs made it to the NHL front page... lol :D

Well, the Jazz are halfway to tieing up the series.

How about that MVP elbow to the jaw?

Not cool...

Great game by the Jazz last night. I commend the very loyal and loud Jazz fans for being raucous as usual.

The crowd bothered every Laker but Kobe. Nice job.

As a Lakers fan, I'm disappointed in my team because we should have taken that game. That Jazz came with their A game and the Lakers played their B game and barely lost by five.

If Gasol hadn't been soft the entire game, the Lakers would be up 3-0 right now. It's as simple as that. Pau let Okur toy with him.

But it won't happen again. I guarantee Sunday will be a much different story.
