This is the first time in 20 some years that I just can't seem to get excited about the Michigan - Buckeye game.
I don't know what it is but something is missing -Maybe the fact Michigan is having the worst season in it's existence - Or their new head coach ?.
But I'm here to tell you all something -You can take all the records stats and wins or loses and throw them all out the window -When it comes to this game it's whoever shows up to play.
I hope the Buckeyes will be ready and not take this game lightly -Heres a stat many may not know - every new coach for over 50 yrs - has won their first game against the opposition - Do I think Rich Rod will ? -No -But it could happen.
I can see Michigan coming into the Shoe with lot's of emotion -But then talent will start to take over and the Buckeyes by midway through the third quarter will start to manhandle the Wolverines- Beanie got a lot of yards against them last year -Expect the same tommorow.
My prediction for the game -Buckeyes 38 to Michigan 17.
I'm sure after I start drinking at 8:30 am EST - By noon I should be a little fired up for the game.
Now that Terrelle Pryor is starting and Beanie is semi healthy is Ohio State in a position to get back to the title game if they win out ?
They looked good against Wisconsin and their defense finally started getting pressure on the QB and Beanie was pushing defenders into the endzone and out of his way.
With Terrelle being a true freshman and a true freshman starting at center I think they have more than proved themselves but are they ready to face another USC I guess the next true test will be when they face Penn State If they beat them their ranking should be right up their with USC's. IMO
I know this has been an upset filled season so far and I know we havn't seen all of them yet this comming week will start to seperate the pretenders from the contenders.
My only problem with The Buckeyes is their play calling it's boreing and predictable I know that with Terrelle running some option plays it creates a new wrinkle but everytime I see him pitch the ball I ssense a turnover comming so far it hasn't happend but It's scary and just a matter of time.
I know last year they shouldn't have been in the title game but It wasn't their fault the teams that should have didn't win when they needed to.
So I'm asking do you think they can make it back this season or not ?
Now before you jump all over me let me state I am a Buckeye fan but looking at the Tressel era since the National Championship team of 2002 what has he done?
Two embarrassing Championship Games !
You can say he got them into those games and I'll agree with the game against Florida but last season was a fluke and then when they get to the games the team looks unprepaired.
The Buckeyes got to the big game and as displayed they didn't deserve to be there by getting beat down by Florida and LSU.
And remember the team that Tressel took into the 2002 National Championship was with John Coopers recruits with the exception of Clarrett and we all know how he turned out.
I know that Tressel has a great resume and has done wonderfull things in the way of recruiting but he dosn't seem to be able to win the " Big Games" you know the ones that your teams reputation is based on.
Or should the Finger be pointed somewhere else?
Defensive coordinator Offensive coordinator..Who?
Who is to blame for the lackluster performances the Buckeyes have shown lately in the "Big Games" ?Who is responsible for the way the team is playing ?
The Head Coach is so I ask again Is Tressel the right Man for Ohio State?
John Cooper got fired from Ohio State for his inability of beating Michigan what about inability's to win the " Big Games"?
The Ohio State University is pulling a fast one a trick a con a sham their setting USC up and they don't even see it coming they are pulling the Ol'Trojan Horse trick on the Trojans.
They are going to come into southern Cal looking like a far inferior team like a high school team that just lost their favorite coach, It's a front and farce some good Ol' fashion trickery.
Chris Wells was faking it hes not hurt -why should he take a chance of getting injured playing interstate squads that have nothing to lose.
Tressel is a genius he is using smoke and mirrors, pulling the wool over Ol' Petes eyes it's shenanigans I tell ya !!
If any of you out there in football land honestly believe the same team you seen struggling against two interstate schools is the team that will be playing in Southern Cal you better wake up and smell the coffee.
The Buckeyes and Tressel will show up they will play the game of their lives they will leave it all on the field.
To all of the Buckeye fans out there don't doubt your team just remember in 2002 the 14-0 season the Buckeyes fell behind in games, won games in the fourth quarter and won games in overtime.
It's "Tressel Ball" you know the type of football that has you biting your fingernails sitting on the edge of your seat , Being on the verge of a heart attack its the same situation this season.
I have been waiting for the game with USC since the end of last season and so have the Buckeyes.
In Lew of the upcoming game between The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Trojans from Southern California I have summoned the greats of the past to give inspiration to the Buckeyes as they soon will be going into an extremely hostile enviroment.
The Sun will be shining down on this battle of two proud traditions and it will be hotter than my ex-stepmothers kiss the fans of USC will be in riot mode and frenzeyed out of their God foresaken football minds.
The crazed stares of fans that have anticipated this match up will be gazing at the 64' HD TV"s that they will be paying on for months in anticipation of the kickoff to this battle.
So I find it fitting to throw some words of encouragement towards the young men that will be taking the field in honor of the Buckeyes.

Go Buckeyes
Some information and statistics are from Wikipedia search Youngstown State.
The Buckeyes shouldn't have been in the Championship game last year... sure they backed into that game... sure they lost...
It was supposed to be a rebuilding year ...
But they couldn't help it that some "other" teams out there couldn't handle their buisness..
They went and lost...Yes I know all about how overated they are.. and how they are 0-9 against the S.E.C...and how they are so slow that they use sundiles to time the players 40 times..
But there is one thing that you can't say about Ohio State and that is that they don't have any fans...Through thick and thin...Loss Or win...Cold or Hot..We are there and will continue to be there untill the end..
They have some of the best fans in all of college football and will travel to any city any where any time and will cheer the Bucks on in any hostile environment.
I have been lucky enough to have been alive for 2 of Ohio States National Championships and I have a feeling I might see one more in my lifetime...
They are bigger... stronger...faster..than last year... and who knows the third time just may be a charm....
and then I can say Iv'e been alive for three National Championships.
But whatever the outcome of this season I will still be a fan...
Because thats what true fans do they stick it through untill the end.
I am a football fan first and foremost I will root for any team as long as their not playing the Buckeyes and am also a Nascar fan and root for Dale Jr. and Tony Stewart I like humor and jokes and stay away from politics and religion I have a black belt in crowbar and baseball bat .
