This is the first time in 20 some years that I just can't seem to get excited about the Michigan - Buckeye game.

I don't know what it is but something is missing -Maybe the fact Michigan is having the worst season in it's exsitance -Or their new head coach ?.

I'm sure after I start drinking at 8:30 am EST - By noon I should be a little fired up for the game.

But I'm here to tell you all something -You can take all the records -Stats and wins and loses and throw them all out the window -When it comes to this game it's whoever shows up to play.

I hope the Buckeyes will be ready and not take this game lightly -Heres a stat many may not know -every new coach for over 50 yrs - has won their first game against the opposition -Do I think Rich Rod will -No -But it could happen.

I can see Michigan coming in with lot's of emotion -But then talent will start to take over and the Buckeyes by midway through the third quarter will start to manhandle the Wolverines- Beanie got a lot of yrds against them last year -Expect the same.

My prediction for the game -Buckeyes 38 to Michigan 17.

I hope by tommorow I will be up for the game but as of right know - (Yawn )

    HOW TO GET BLOG COMMENTS 101 - PART V

Well here we are the fifth and final installment of how to get blog comments 101.

Hopefully the four previous blogs on the subject has helped you in your quest for more blog comments - and if not -sorry no refunds - LOL.

In this final post on the subject of blog comments I will try and go over some specifics in the effort of getting more comments.

* Friends -

It is of the upmost importance to have them - friends will come by and support your cause - and they are good for at least two comments - are you getting the importance yet ?

Friends come in all shapes and sizes -The can be Cuban - Shrinks -Dangerous and fat -They may have gout - they may be Blue or Orange or both -They may Bleed certain colors -or they can even be Sam Elliot look alikes -maybe they are handy with a Wrench or even a Wizzard with one - Some can even be Hatchetmen  some are Hot w/hot feet -Some like 69 after thier team name -Some are even into Forensics -Trust me there are to many to name all of them -or the shapes and sizes or colors they come in .

Now getting friends may not always be easy - ( I use cookies) -(hint) -Sometimes people don't want friends and if you look in their comments -you don't have to wonder why they don't have very many -

So try and respond to those who comment on your post - build a repore with your reader -and 9 times out of 10 you will make a freind in the process.

Trust me when I say it's effort that pays off in the end for numerous reasons -But hey we are talking blog comments here-Lets stick to the subject at hand shall we - So dont forget the importance of friends.

*Visual Stimulation -

"Ah yes" - The ever so contraversial picture of a hottie - This will guarentee you at least two comments - SlsHusker will attest to this -

While on the subject of visual stimulation -

Your avatar should be eye catching also -

This is important -I draws the reader in -and is easier to find than the normal Fox logo -(not that theres anything wrong with that either) -But we are after blog comments here damnit - pay attention -LOL

*Sports

Lets talk sports - I know not every blog I write is sports related -But I'm willing to bet 95% of them are - Sometimes sticking to your favorite sport can hinder your reader interest - I mix it up and blog about several of my favorite sports -Keeps things new and fresh  keeps you from being trapped writing about the same ol' stuff - Now I'm not saying that you can't be a great writer in the sport you chose -But try to expand your horizons -Your readers will find you more appealing - Ok I know that's a stretch - but it sounded good..LOL

*Be You

I can smell a front a mile away -Being yourself is crutial -pretending to be someone you arn't is very detramental to the goal here - Lots of people will not respond to someone who is putting on a front -And believe me they will know -Keeping it real in other terms is what hekps build a repore with your reader- and helps get return visitors -which we hope will become freinds -and we all know what that leads to -Thats right comments.

I like to visit other peoples blogs and reply on the subject they have written about -Or to just drop by and leave a quick hello -Either way this helps in the long run - But lets not waste to much energy replying to people who never reply back - It becomes obvious that are not interested in you or your comments -" I have a three visit rule " - If I visit someones blog and leave a comment and they don't visit mine -After my third attempt with no reply -(Which is courtious by the way) -I don't visit them anymore - Untill they make an effort on my blog - It's a two way street -Don't waste energy on lost causes -There are more important people to talk to.

With a overall record of 3 and 1 did he deserve a title shot -since loseing to Frank Mir a unranked opponent in his opening fight.

Homestead should be a fun race to watch - High rpm's will test the  engines here -

Homestaed had it's share of problems with tires after they resurfaced it last year - and caused tires to blister from all the grip - fuel strategy is always important here -then again I guess it would be at any track- just ask T.E Jr. about fuel strategy.

I think we will see some here in the top five that we havn't seen to much of this season  ( In the top five that is) -Since it's the last race of the season  it's put the peddel to the floor and give it hell time.

I mean really what do they have to lose ? -That means you Michael Waltrip - Kyle Petty all you ol' timers - Time to step up and leave this season behind on a high note - Either that or hang up the helmet and give someone else a chance - Because to be honest your stinking up the joint..

Before I do the predictions - I want to thank all of you for you kind words on Wrench Wizzards blog about me helping his daughter -I appreciate it  -  It was an honor to be able to help him and his daughter - she's a little sweetheart-but she's also tough as nails..

                    Ok on to the race-and my excellent picks

Coming in first -

For the first time this season will be Jeff Gordon -

I foresee the 24 team getting it together - and winning this thing.

Second place -

Will be Michael Waltrip -

 Ok not really I just wanted to give Photogr a glimmer of hope..LOL

Second place will be-(for real this time)

Jimmie Johnson and he will seal the deal and remove all doubt and silence the haters -can you say 3- peat ?

Third place-

Will be Jeff Burton - Jeff ran a great season and I'm proud of him and I know Volfan is to.

Fourth place -

Will go to Dale Jr. - putting three cars in the top 5 for HMS -They started the season a little slow -But as we all know it's how you finish that counts in Nascar -Just ask Kyle Busch..LOL

And fifth place-

goes to Carl Edwards - he has had a great season also - but I think he comes up a little short in this race -no pun intended (maybe)- sorry Carl no back flip this time.

well there you have the final installment of JOKERSWILD Nascar picks.-(for this season anyway).

So im looking around and notice that  alot of older franchise's are winning NFL championships -

And I'm  thinking to myself (it hurts when I think ) -How long has it been since Cleveland  has won a Championship?

The Browns wern't givin a chance in hell against Johnny Unitas and The Baltimore Colts (*who had one of their best seasons since 1959*) With beasts on their roster like J.Unitas - Lenny Moore - John Mackey  -

However homefield advantage was in favor of the Browns (*Who have the best fans in the world* -The Dog Pound Rules)!!

The Browns didn't score at all in the first half, But then started Mauling the Colts and scored 24 unanswered points -

Gary Collins was superman in that game for the Browns catching two crutial TD passes-

The Football world was  shocked!!!!

as to what just transpiered for they (The Browns) had defeated the "Mighty"Baltimore Colts and Johnny U. - earning them their fourth World Championship - and their final one!.

They didn't even call them Super Bowls back then that's how long ago it was.

Some interesting things transpiered this Saturday in the world of NCAA Football.

#3 Penn State ran in to an awaiting buzz saw at Iowa- and blew their chances of going to the big game - although it's still possible for them to get there - highly unlikely-IMO.!!

Penn State players complained about the distractions that Iowa and it's fans threw at them for the defeat - after seeing this distraction I could see how it would be hard to focus.

#2 Texas Tech looks for real - And I would put G.Harrell at the top of the list for the Hiesman -

The dude is unreal and disected the Cowboys defense with presision passing - looks like any hopes of the cowboys getting to the big dance are also history.

Maybe next season - Ok State.

#4-Florida took care of business and I feel is the best team in college football right now - they put a whoppin on poor ol' Vandy- If Harrell dosn't win the Hiesman maybe Superman will be the second ever two time winner of the trophy.

#1 Alabama beat LSU-27 to 21 and handed the Tigers thier third loss even though it was close don't look for The tide to drop in the standings.

            No championship game for LSU this year.

Don't cry little feller it'll be ok..

#6 Oklahoma put a arse whoopin on Texas A&M - big deal-

#5 - Texas beat Baylor---- (YAWN!!!!)

 The teams mentioned are the contenders for the crown - Who will it be in the Title game..

Well In My Oppinion It will be Florida against Texas Tech -After watching Texas Tech the last two weeks - Im finally convinced they are for real.

So I'm at work today and start to climp up to the loading dock to load up a pallet jack into the semi to unload 600 cases of diapers.

This is something I have done a million times before -cept today I'm pulling myself up rather quickly and caught the edge of the upper steel rack support...

I always thought the myth about seeing stars when you get hit hard was just that a myth - turns out it's true - little black and blue tracers blinking  in unison - yeah thats the ticket..

But don't worry the rack support survived just fine............JW

So I'm going through my photobucket -Didn't relize I had over 800 pictures - no wonder it takes so long to load up...LOL

Ah Phoenix International Speedway were passin is done in the corners and Setups are crucial.

After they get some laps in- this place tends to heat up making it a little slick and fun to watch - and even though it's a one mile track _ I'll call it a short one.

This will be the race for Carl Edwards to make a statement - But I don't see him getting Jimmie this week or Jr. for that matter.

Heres how it's going to go down-

Coming in first and to everyones surprise will be the wild one JPM himself.

Second place will go to Tony Stewart I see Smoke having a good week at Phoenix and he may even run good enough to get the win- keep your eyes on him this weekend.

Third place will go to Jimmie Johnson and may have the Championship in the bag after this race.

Fourth will be Jeff Burton with a strong showing and might just be in the top three.

Fifth will be Kevein Harvick who seems to do well at Phoenix.

Jr. will finish in front of cousin Carl somewhere in the top ten..

I as a Nascar fan can't say that the chase  format has been the most exciting thing Iv'e ever witnessed- watching a dog chase his own tail can be more exillerating.

And the new COT well lets just say I'm not that impressed - I hope the chase comes down to the last lap - but I doubt it.

Being a fan in Ohio is  for the diehard fan or the just plain crazy.

I'm not sure which one I am yet..

We have the Bengals- who found a way to get a win which brings their record to 1 and 8 - I'm glad I'm not a fan but feel for those who have suffered rooting for them,

But being a Browns fan isn't much better at 3 and 5 so far this season it looks like another year of -Wait untill next year- even though I can see some areas of improvement and having one of the toughest schedules hasn't helped  matters either.

And then Of course we have The Buckeyes - who with as many returning starters I thought would have a great season - now their playing for a decent bowl game - and I hope it's not the Rose Bowl -I couldn't bare to see them lose twice to USC this season.

And-The Indians-WTF happened to them since last season - Oh wait thats right they traded another one of my favorite players away -( CC )- next it will probably be Cliff Lee  I'll sit back and watch to see who gives him a better contract -watch it be with the RedSox or The Damn Yankees and  he'll help them continue their dominance over us..          Jeesh !!!

So now I'm looking forward to The Cavaliers - Even though I'm not a huge NBA fan- It gives me a ray of hope to think maybe just maybe something  good will come out of this season- I guess I will just have to wait and see and hope I don't have to say the words Iv'e become acustomed to saying - - - - Wait untill next year.. Again !!!
