Rise up Jr. nation we have some celebrating to do.Its about time and it couldn't have happend on a better day if there was a present this was the one Im sure made Jr.s father proud watching from above.
Jr. coudn't have picked a better day to win On Fathers Day and Im sure this one was for his. I am proud to be a Jr. fan and proud of this young man for hanging in there and never giving up and remaining confedent in his abilitys through all the adversity he has been through.
The true Jr. fans that are out there I salute you I know it hasn't been easy and youv'e had to take a lot of flack for your driver over the last couple of seasons but thanks for hanging in there and remaining a true fan for that I comend you.
Congrats Jr. on your win and now the wheels are turning and this will be a new begining and more wins will start comming thanks again for giving Jr. nation the elusive win we all knew was right around the corner.
Congrats JW. Good to break through and now Jr. can't say you're his jinx.
My one question - How many times did NASCAR warn Jr. not to pass the pace car when he was cutting his engine on/off under caution? I heard it three times. You don't think any other driver would have been penalized for that, do you?
Moseby--of course they would have been penalized for it but their last name isn't Earnhardt..lol
No iv'e seen that before I don't know if when they did it fuel was an issue but hey its a win and i'll take it If they deemed it a rule violation im sure they would have done something about it and they didn't want a riot at the track either..lol..

It certainly was a long time coming and now that he's got that first win of the season under his belt. They could well be a few more over the remainder of the regular season schedule.
It's going to give him renewed confidence in his abilities. And that if anything may well have been the one thing was in some way worrying him for much of the lean spell .
It's amazing that the "warned him three times" thing has become so prominent, yet no one can produce any evidence. They didn't say it as such during the broadcast, and it wasn't spoken on his pit communication that he was warned multiple times, aside from the fact that Eury, Jr. may have said it to Dale Jr. three or more times. That's just a crew chief doing his job of keeping the driver focused.
Top--thanks for dropping by and giving your thoughts on his first win and maybe your right now that he has the win his confidence has to be skyhigh..
Inverted--Amen brother I didn't here anything on the broadcast either only that Eury said something if Nascar thought he was cheating they would have done something and thats all I got to say bout that..lol thanks for the visit..
Inverted - Well, I saw Jr. pass the pace car 3 times. After the first, the TNT crew mentioned NASCAR's warning. The 2nd time, I heard Tony Eury, Jr. say on the radio that NASCAR would not allow him to pass the pace car. The third time he did it, the audio from from Eury, Jr. was cut out by TNT. So, yeah it was three times.
That being said, it had nothing to do with the outcome of the race. BUT, If Casey Mears had done it three times do you think NASCAR would have done something about it?
JW - Congratulations on the win!!! Lady luck sure shined on your boy and what a nice fathers day gift to the Jr fans.
My buddy [huge Jr fan] said he missed the end of the race because he had to go visiting for fathers day, now he is afraid to watch the end of the race in that he might jinx Jr.
I'll wait a little while and then tell him it was your double whammy jinx w/ disclaimer that did it! 8-{D Happy for you guys.

At least there was more confidence shown by Jr than there was by Lefty at the US Open at Torrey Pines.
He flamed out faster than a damp squib lit on the 4th July !
Hey, guys, a NASCAR official addressed the 'pass the pace car' issues today on Sirius radio. He said the rule is to keep guys coming out of the pits from passing the pace car so they can't try to gain a lap on the men on the track. He said that Dale was giving 'a little throttle' and then coasting in order to conserve fuel. He said it is not really an infraction of the rules, but they still didn't want him to do it. I'M NOT A JR., fan so don't shoot the messenger. I'm just telling all of you what I heard. Also, Dale Jr., addressed the issue and he said that he knew people who aren't fans of his would be upset about it. Look, he won and it was a fair and just win. Get over it. I could whine about the official getting in front of Matt Kenseth and possibly costing him a couple of seconds, but I'M NOT GOING TO! LOL
Nascar made warnings to Jr. and did nothing when he Passed the pace car twice more under yellow to save fuel. They gave Jr. a win. I thought you had to stay at pace car speed. Not slower or FASTER to save fuel. Just ask Robbie Gordon. Anyway Nascar saw the BIG picture. With this win Jr. Nation buys Na$car good and ticket$.
Jr. Did what he needed to win good job....But Na$car didn't do what they $hould have. Just ask Kenseth and Vickers.

I don't know that Lefty'll ever rise to the caliber of being anywhere near his nemesis Woods ! .
His heart or lack of one has never been in it !
He'll always end up playing second fiddle to Woods either for the remainder of his career. Or until Woods chooses to walk off into the sunset and call it quits.

Noahspop - NASCAR drop the green white checker and nobody passed him and if the last crash had not happen Kasye Khane would have won cause Dale's car started to spuntter for gas as the yellow came out. If he had to keep the gas down he would have ran out in turn 4.
I know NASCAR told that driver to crash so they could wave the yellow flag to make sure he won the race. Also the #8 cars was pushing Kasey around and you didnt mention that.
JW - Its over ! Now he can just have some fun and race. Thats why I became a fan of Jr before he use to have a blast in the car passing cars and having a laugh. Now I hope that comes back and he can just have some fun racing. Cheers
Volfan - Your information from Sirius radio was correct. I was at the race. Jr. kept shutting off his engine to conserve fuel, and would coast on the apron. Then restart to get a bit more gas and turn off the engine. I was actually surprised he was able to finish. After Mark Martin ran out of fuel on that restart, I thought that Kahne would win. The yellow gave Jr. the win though.
B@O--but lady luck was on his side and some other mysterious forces it was destiny that he win on that day and your dude had a great run but what can I say its in the books as a win who am I to rewrite history..And i'll UPS you some of them grapes you like green or purple?
and thats probably my favorite Van Halen song love the evil laugh at the begining by Dave..
"Everybody Wants Some" is the best Van Halen song. They put it in "Better Off Dead" with John Cusack and had Hamburgers and French Fries dancing to it.
I am a football fan first and foremost I will root for any team as long as their not playing the Buckeyes and am also a Nascar fan and root for Dale Jr. and Tony Stewart I like humor and jokes and stay away from politics and religion I have a black belt in crowbar and baseball bat I love dancing with Kangaroos and cliff diving into a swimming pool
