There is a new sport on the horizon and it combines two of the most popular sports Golf and Football yes Full Contact Golf -(FCG) for short.
This new sport is going to be played while there is a lull in between football seasons so that avid football fans have something they can really get into. All of the rules are still being worked out but here are a few.
After teeing the ball up the golfer has five seconds to hit the ball .there will be an umpire with a stopwatch after the five seconds the ump gives the signal and a fullypadded NFL linebacker will tackle the golfer.

Now depending if the golfer got the shot off or not is how the game and yardage are determined. If the golfer didnt get the shot off he has to retee from where he landed after the tackle.Then the five second clock starts again.
If he did hit the ball he has to run to where it landed and as soon as he gets there the five second clock starts again. Now if the golfer gets tackled after he hits the ball its a penalty and he gets one free whack at the linebacker with the club of his choice.
Once the golfer has the ball on the green he has ten seconds to line up read and hit his putt. After the ten seconds the same rules apply as before.- Also I forgot to mention every time the golfer makes a Birdie the football player has to do two shots of the golfers choice of whiskey
The more Birdies the golfer makes the better his chances become for the linebacker to have more trouble getting to him.
But for every time the Linebacker gets a tackle the golfer has to do two shots of the linebackers choice.we have to keep it fair you know.
Well this sport is on the drawing board and we will welcome added rules and suggestions,,so what do you say is Full Contact Golf on its way to a city near you ??

If the putt fails to drop into the hole....the golpher, I mean golfer, must consume 1 shot for each miss.
Can i sign up Mr Jingles for this? He is a multisport athlete and after todays race on Kristen's blog, i'm not sure if he will be allowed back at the NASCAR tracks after penalties are handed down. He may be looking for a change.
D-man If anything the speed of play would be a hell of alot quicker..lol
and that sthe chance the linbacker takes tackle to late get a whack from a 9 iorn but time it perfectly thats what im talking about..
This is a pretty good idea. I would make it a team sport though. 5 golfers on a team all lined up to tee off, about 5 yards apart. 5 linebackers are right by the cup and as soon as the golfers hit the ball they can charge off.
The golfers then have to avoid the linebackers and succesfully manuver their ball onto the green.
Then the golfers all line up by where their balls respectivly lie. As the whistle goes off, the linebackers can charge at the golfers as they try to get their ball in the hole, one at a time.
Now this might be a sport I actully watch. You should get this going.
Not a bad idea BubbB the team sport aspect i can see potential there I wouldnt want to be either imagine getting drilled by a 200mph golf ball if you dont get there quick enough and the golfers might have to wear some kind of protection 1 or to hits from a linebacker would probably do them in but at least the alcohol would keep thing on an even teal after 18 holes theyd have a hard time walking..thanks for your thoughts..JW
One could always get those who wish to emulate the Howard brothers (there were 3) and Larry Fine to take part in this highly viable "sport". Now, Mr Daly, except for the hair, already looks like Curly, so............
I will sign my boss up for the offical taster. Bring lots of hooch! The winner should get one of "Noah's Best" for completing the round with all his teeth intact. Bongs are optional....

As to this being introduced as a new sport. I'd be in favor of it but it won't be legitimized until CBS gets ahold of it make it more akin to the abomination that they had on last week with regard to Elite XC and the MMA . That was so laughable that I was wondering what they'll have in store for us next ?

JW: See the pic above of the "Three Stooges" in golf apparel....That is "Curly" Howard, "Moe" Howard and Larry Fine. The other Howard brother was "Shemp"...quit the Stooges and managed them or something..............Were funny.
Course my history is wrong....Shemp was replaced by Curly who died in '52, Shemp came back, but died in '55 at 60 yoa.
I am a football fan first and foremost I will root for any team as long as their not playing the Buckeyes and am also a Nascar fan and root for Dale Jr. and Tony Stewart I like humor and jokes and stay away from politics and religion I have a black belt in crowbar and baseball bat .
