Thanks refs, you ruined an otherwise great playoffs
May 06, 2007 | 2:05PM | report this

The Rockets were #### out of the playoff by alot of stupid calls, Jazz fans are saying their team got bad refing, up until game 7 the refing was fair and honest, the Jazz fans were just trying to create an excuse where their wasn't one, but then game 7 hit, and carlos boozer and Okur got away with murder, refs never called it, the rockets just try to play defense, refs called it, AK throws a ball out of bounds, Jazz ball??? that play was a 5 point turn around and gave the Jazz three points they shouldn't of ever had. The point is, the refs helped the Jazz advance, now the better team is sitting at home, if you think game seven was fairly officiated, then your either a Jazz fan or hate the rockets, because it wasn't, this just isn't right, the rockets are 10x better then the Jazz, evenly matched my ####, yet the Jazz advance and ruin a poteintaly good playoff, I refuse to acknowledge the rockets losing, as it shouldn't of happened.

Look what you did stern, you broke the hearts of many rocket fans, you did T-mac and Yao wrong, Van Gundy is retiring now, and all because of your stupid refs, the rockets should still be playing right now, so thank you refs, for robbing these playoffs of any substance, the playoffs are once again a joke, and will be until we have some decent reffereeing

I know i'm gonna catch some heat for this, but you can't deny that the rockets were the better team, and saying the Jazz are better is just plain insulting

enough about reggie bush already
Sep 04, 2006 | 2:02PM | report this

You reggie bush lovers really need to come back to reality, he is an overrated running back who beat up on weak defenses his whole college career, and what did he do when he faced a good defense, fumbled the ball and did absolutly nothing. Everyone has been calling the texans stupid for not picking reggie bust ...er... bush, heaven forbid a owner actually cares about his team and not just money "ooohhh reggie would sell more jerseys, he'd sell tickets" real fans don't care about that, we want our teams to win, THATS what sells tickets and jerseys, defense wins championships, the texans picked mario williams because just his presence makes everyone around him better because the offensive lineman are concentrating on him, allowing openings for the other linemen and middle linebacks, if the eagales think the texans are gonna be an easy oppenent, then their in for a rude awakening come week one

in closing, reggie bush is the most overrated player this season, possibly ever. He isn't that great, sure he'll get the occasional big run, and within seconds the bush lovers (no pun intended) will all be screaming reggie bush is a future hall of famer, pleaseeeeeeee, he has bust written all over them, thank god the texans didn't pick him, or we would have been stuck with that big bust, mario williams presence alone makes the texans defense so much better, so stop kissing the ground reggie bush walks on, because there have been alot of guys that came up in every sport that had alot of "abilities" but how many of them have acually turned that ability into a great sports career, didn't stromile swift have alot of ability too? how about ryan leaf? reggie bush is just an average back at best, but I'd say more likely below average, and anyone still saying the texans suck based on LAST YEAR really need to do some research, because philidelphia is going down week one, and all these people saying otherwise, or that the texans are still a bad team need to wake up and stop living in the past, ONE BAD YEAR DOESN'T MAKE THEM A BAD TEAM, and picking philly to beat them based on that just means you have done no research, sorry philly fans, your teams a little overrated.

Phil Garner not to blame for the N.L. loss
Jul 12, 2006 | 10:27AM | report this

Before I begin, lets get a few things straight. I know that when any team losses a game, the manager is always going to take some of the heat, if not all even if not warrented as in this case. Secondly, note that I may be just a little bias due to being an astros fan, now with that out of the way, lets get started

I've seen alot of blame already being put on phil garner for the N.L loss at the all star game, frankly, I think thats a load of ####. I mean did phil garner throw that pitch that micheal young hit? NO. Did phil garner get tagged out at home? No. I could go on, but I won't. The majority of the blame should go to hoffman, he's the one that was pitching, he even admitted he missed with the fastball young hit, some have said that Rolen should have been playing in the 9th and not cabrera(sorry if thats mispelled) but maybe the cardinals asked garner not to play rolen, so garner may have had no choice, same goes for nomar, jones and dan uggla, so that can't be blamed on garner either, so basically, the blame goes to hoffman, or could it be that micheal young might actually be a pretty good player, that he might be clutch, and lets not forget one very important detail, ITS THE ALL STAR GAME, who really cares, sure there's the home field advantage thing, but other then that, its no big deal.

Now on a side note, the astros just traded 2  minor league players for aubrey huff, this will either be a very good move, or a really bad move, but since huff is a second half player, he'll really help the astros out in the middle of the line-up, and the D-rays get a good shortstop prospect who the local radio shows here were hoping would be called up to the majors, so its not like you guys got nothing, anyways disagree with me, feel free to leave a comment.

why me??????????
Jul 08, 2006 | 4:56PM | report this

Why do my teams always give up leads, I just got done watching the cards "beat" the astros with the help of some favoring umpiring, this seams to happen to my teams alot, the texans gave up a bunch of leads last year, and the astros do it alot also, I'm still trying to figure out what I did to deserve this, I HATE the cards and white sox with a passion, both have been compleatly stupid and ####, and i'm sick of my team always being the team that gets comebacked on( if thats even a word) so why can't the other teams just find someone else for a change, why must it always be the astros, and I damn sure hope they catch pujols with HGH because I hate him with a passion for everything he's done to me and the astros, and why does fox find it neccesary to live in the past, we astros fans don't wanna hear about the pujols homerun or the world series anymore, so just chill with it, its over MOVE ON.

ok now that I got that out of my system, for all the pujols fans out there, we astros fans are required to hate him so don't get too offended by that statement ok, ok then. Just a warning, this post was written in the heat of the moment  so I may sound just a little pissed, well thats cause I am

ok one more rant, why does smackdown have so many dumb storylines right now???, the "all hail king booker" thing is already getting old and annoying, to my knowledge smackdown has only 3 tag teams currently, and why did they stick vito in a dress, I mean seriously.

well thats my rant post, like I said before, this was written in the heat of the moment, so i'm just a little bitter right now, as always comments are welcome and thats all for my venting for now.

The astros should be ashamed of themselves
Jun 16, 2006 | 9:05PM | report this

The astros lost the the kansas city royals tonight, no thats not a misprint, its the truth, my beloved astros lost to the ROYALS, the worst team in baseball, how do the astros plan on making the playofs when they can't even beat kansas city, its humuliating being an astros fan on a day like this

they get no hits until the 6th inning, of of scott elarton or something like that, who only had one win previously( and is a former astro no less), wandy rodriguez allowed three runs to this horrible offense

any astros fan who attended the game tonight should get their money back for having to endure this humuliating performance, and here's hoping this never happens again

Astros vs. dodgers, WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO THE ASTROS???????
May 10, 2006 | 10:21PM | report this

the astros tonight lost the 6th straight game, and all i have to ask is what happened, the astros started so well, they were one of the best teams in the majors, now there losing more then the royals, the astros are way better then this, there losing to too many lesser teams who there way better then, I just cannot figure out whats going on, why are the astros suddenly playing so badly? The rockies series I blame bad umpiring, it was horendous, but the last three, I have no idea.

Nomar, kent, and I think furcal all homered today, while tomko went 6 scoreless innings by some miracle with this massive astros offense. the astros did all there scoring in the last few innings, including a 9th inning homerun by berkman, and by some other miracle, taylor bucholtz, who's been very impressive, somehow got shelled by a less then impressive dodgers offense

So what exactly is happening to the astros, I have no freaking idea, so if anyone actually reads this(which i doubt because I have not had any comments on any of my post) and your an astros fan, hang tough, they have been through these streches before, but the astros are known for bouncing back, but man is this tough, especially to the dodgers, giants and rockies, the NL west is not that hard to beat geez, they are one of the crappiest divisions in baseball, so the astros having this much trouble with them is puzzling. I just hope they turn it around soon.

Does Phil Garner have two personalities??????
May 05, 2006 | 10:27PM | report this

I just saw the box score of the astros game, and find out they lost to the bottom dwelling colorado rockies, so how can such a supposed bad team( though I have to admit they've been pretty good so far, but they'll fade eventually) beat such a good team like the astros( and no they won't fade)???

The answer is Phil Garners #### side came out tonight, the astros were winning 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th, from what the local talk radio station that carries the game was saying is that lidge wasn't available tonight because he has pitched alot lately and that wheeler would come out for the save oppritunity, but then Phil Garners #### side whispered hey send out lidge, he'll get the save, so he sends out lidge and guess what, the astros lose 5-4 when lidge allowed them to score, very smart phil, your #### side has once again costed the astors the game, there was no reason Brad Lidge should have been out there period, he was fatigued

Of course Phil Garner has a smart side too, he led Houston to a N.L. championship series, and the world series in his first 2 years, he's allowed them to comeback from the dead 2 years in a row, and has alot of trust in the young guys( almost too much sometimes)

so as you can see,  Phil Garner has two personalities, the smart guy, and the ####, hopefully we see more "smart phil" and less "dumb phil" so the astros can finally get what they deserve, a world series ring

MY first post, random thoughts about sports
Apr 24, 2006 | 11:03PM | report this

Ok this is my first post so sorry if it sucks, ok on to the subject, Houston sports

I know Sports in Houston hasn't been exactly been good lately, between the disappointing seasons of the Rockets and Texans, but both look like they can actually be blessing in disguise, I just hope the Texans don't draft vince young, I mean I like vince young as much as the next longhorn fan, but trading the pick would be the more helpful to their future, but reggie bush wouldn't hurt either

the rockets need to get more support for T-mac and Yao, just in case they get injured again, hopefully that won't happen, a bigger shooting guard, or even better a good power foward, because who knows how much longer Juwan Howard can hold up.

The astros season has started off real well, that was until nomar decided to mess things up, anyways hopefully they can keep it up and make it to the world series

as for the NBA  and NHL playoffs, since i personally have no teams to root for i won't really be paying attention, or I'll watch casually, but I'll pick the   Pistons, and i can't really give an educated guess on NHL

The WWE seems to be recovering from a slump, I can't really watch RAW due to not having cable, but from what i hear on recaps, I personally think smackdown is the better show anyways( I mean seriosly vince vs. god?????) and like it says in my profile, I can't watch TNA either( i was wondering what happened to jeff hardy) and Brock Lesner and the WWE have come to an agreement on thier lawsuit, which hopefully means we'll see brock somewhere, weather its WWE or TNA.

ok thats it for my first post, i'm open to any suggestions, because I know it probably sucks lol, anyways I hope to make many more post, hopefully I'll do a little more research, and in the future only have subject of interest so i'm not going all over the place, but we'll see
