Shaquille O'Neal took the mic at a NYC club last night, unleashing a
freestyle verbal assault directed at his arch-enemy Kobe Bryant --
blaming his former teammate for ruining his marriage and imploring him
to "Tell me how my #### tastes." [Read]
As a Lakers fan, I can't wait until LA plays Phoenix next year.
I'm
also happy that Shaquille O'Neal is finally being exposed as the
classless individual he is. It's no coincidence that he's left every team he's played for on
bad terms. O'Neal even took the opportunity to trash Pat Riley and his former Miami Heat
teammates when he landed in Phoenix.
Upon
being traded, Shaq all but promised another ring for the Suns. He
hasn't retired yet but was ousted in the first round by the San Antonio
Spurs. The very same team the Lakers dispatched of in 5 games in the
Western Conference Finals.
for a guy that acts so much like the world is against him, all the while saying everyone loves him, Shaq can't stay out of the media for a minute. You know he did this on purpose because no one is talking about him and no none thinks the Suns will be any better with him. This is exactly why I was happy to see him leave LA. Shaq's such a ####. He should have ended it with: "Kobe couldn't win it without me, but I can't one without a great coach and great SG"
Shaq is just mad that Kobe will win a ring without him and that he will be on a lottery team in a couple of years. I thought he might just be joking but by seeing that video it doesn't seem like he is joking. He thinks that he is the best center ever, but he is not. He is not even the best center on his team (Amare, even though he is a power forward he played center for a long time).

goTO - Isn't it though? For years, that clown received a free pass to say and do whatever he pleased. His trashing of his teammates in Miami was uncalled for. This crosses the line even further.
mattm5150 - What's funny is the fact that Shaq went out of his way only a few weeks ago to congratulate Kobe on making the Finals. He even stated that he was "proud" of Bryant.

#### you damn right hoffman. only KOBE!! should be given license to trash his teammates whenever he wants? who does shaq think he is?
only KOBE!! should be able to say and do what he wants, when he wants.
but there are plenty of KOBEISTS who tried to credit bryant's video tirade as the reason the lakers had success this season.
LOL!!
he motivated his teammates. LOL!!
well i guess shaq just motivated mamba for next season to work extra hard to get the taste of shaq's #### out of his mouth.
LOL!!

I won't credit Kobe for Bynum's improvement or the Gasol trade.
But I will quote Andrew:
“I understand [Kobe’s comments] were just coming out of frustration, because nobody wants to win more,” Bynum added during a telephone interview. “We talked about the situation and everything is buried in the dirt, so everything is cool right now. [But] it motivated me to work hard over the summer with my personal trainer, and right now I’m approaching games with a lot of energy.”
Hoffman, I'm sorry but except maybe you and lakersfan911( I think that is how his name was) every Kobe lover was all in arms for him agreeing that everything he did by bashing Bynum and management was correct and that he should have done worse. I remember outlaw being one of the bigger supporters.
About the video, it was pretty funny. I knew from watching that Kobe lovers and Shaq haters would have their panties in a bunch from it. I could tell by his expressions that he was messing around.
SIzzellll, check out my humor piece, you'll like Kobe's character. Hoff, I agree with ya, Shaq is a turd. Check out this piece I wrote about him after the trade to Phoenix and his comments about being the Orlando GM:
i think the shaq out did himself playing as***ole of the century. it just shows the jealousy and rage he has for colby .well colby rocks -shaq pull up your socks or move on? colby fan forever
####2, it just shows you are just a Shaq hater and not a Kobe fan. C'mon it's not Colby, it's Kobe, like the beef.
And everyone else, if after halfway you couldn't figure out he was just messin' around then everyone needs to relax.
But the fact of the matter is, he's still thinking about it. Kobe and the Lakers are still on his mind and his bitterness is being exposed.
Shaq is the one who needs to chill.
He can no longer let his play do the talking so he's got to resort to his mouth. Unfortunately, the Suns will probably wind up as the number seven or eight seed in the playoffs next year and will have a chance to be humiliated by the Lakers in the first round.
Again, I will say.... KARMA is a B**ch. Knock on wood Suns fans, that O'Neal doesn't tear up his knee in 08-09. He has it coming for him.
BTW, didn't the actor PAUL PIERCE say he was going to get an MRI?
BleedPRPL&GLD - I'm going to try and make it to a Lakers-Suns game next season. All four matchups will be must-see.
SRMgenius - Good stuff. Shaq's desire to be a GM is almost as funny as him saying he's better than Kareem was. Especially since he said that KG -- the Defensive Player of the Year -- didn't play defense last season. Lol!
kellyscott - I'd prefer both of them remained silent too. But next season just became that much more interesting.
J-DIZZLE - I've got my fingers crossed on Andrew. I really hope he makes a full recovery.
pumpdude - Maybe Shaq was "clowning." But a lot of truth is said in jest. I never bought O'Neal and Bryant's public displays of reconciliation. You can't erase YEARS of bad blood with a handshake.
Hoffman...This whole basketball thing disgusts me, I think I will sell my ticks to the kings.....I really feel that Shaq and his remarks about whites has went over the top, and I personally could care less about him, his remarks about kobe who cares, just a punk!
They're your tickets vearl and you're free to do what you like. I don't think you should give them up though. I know you're disgusted by the possible Kings-Lakers fix and now this but the NBA will bounce back.
I'm of the opinion that last season was the greatest of all-time. I think it's going to get better too. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but try and focus on what's on the court and ignore the soap opera.
Don't you enjoy yourself when you're AT the games?
I love basketball. While many basketball fans enjoy the month of March, I prefer the months of April, May, and June. I look forward to productive chats, heated debates, and honest opinions.
