With a little more than two hours before tipoff, I can barely contain myself.
I've enjoyed this NBA season more than any other I've been privileged to watch.
From LeBron's performance in Madison Square Garden, the revival of the Celtics, the most entertaining race to the playoffs in NBA history, the blockbuster trades, Kobe's MVP, the emergence of Chris Paul, it's been a wild ride and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
I don't want this season to end but I can't wait to see how it all goes down.
Hoff, these are the kinds of posts that make me realize that no matter what differences anyone has as fans or analysts or bloggers, one thing we all have in common is true love for sports. I am watching the intros right now, and I have goosebumps. This is the greatest season I have ever seen. Certainly old-timers will argue and make the case for years past, but in my short lifetime this is as good as it gets. Good stuff Hoff, enjoy. Sizz/Rooster if you're out there...Holla!
No, I wouldn't have posted my blog here at Foxsports if the Lakers had won. I didn't think Kobe played poorly either. He took about 3 bad shots, which is usual with him and he had at least 4 more jumpers go in and out.
My biggest concern after game 1 is the battle of the boards. The Lakers have been routinely outrebounded in the playoffs but it hasn't mattered since they've shot so well.
I find it hilarious that so many 'fans' and a few people who consider themselves 'experts' feel vindicated after one win.
If Boston wants to play rough, then we will play rough.
Paul Pierce made the biggest mistake by pulling off a stupid acting job. His crying out for attention has secretly infuriated the entire Lakers organization although they won't come out and say it.
My message to the Celtics is now you have to finish what you started. And you have to go through Kobe to do it.
They slapped us in the face. They angered Mamba and Phil. They performed an indirect mocking of the Lakers since this year was nothing but drama for LA. They basically said, "you want drama? we'll show you drama."
It's on now. If I were Luke, I'd knock Pierce on his #### next time he takes it to the hole. Even if it's worth an ejection. The Lakers have Trevor Ariza and Ira Newble anyway.
I love basketball. While many basketball fans enjoy the month of March, I prefer the months of April, May, and June. I look forward to productive chats, heated debates, and honest opinions.
