NOTE: If the team had traded their pick at a position, but the pick was still right, I counted it.
So, we have a tie! Lupus G. and Mike Greenspire. I contacted Lupus and we're tring to see if there is any way to figure out a tie-breaker.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the best passing defense last year, letting by only 170.5 yards per game through the air. With that kind of stat, wouldn’t you want to upgrade your 17th ranked rushing defense, which let by 107.9 yards per game.
I have a problem wiht the Bucs dealings in the past week.
First, they didn't do enough to get the best pass rusher in the NFL, Jared Allen, who also would have greatly decreased the yards allowed on the ground average for the Buccaneers as well.
Second, they draft a CB who admitted to using weed during college to..... what? I haven't a cue why he was drafted here, in my opinion, other teams could have used him more.
And besides, there are still some great DLs available, like Kentwan Balmer and Philip Merling.
Whatever you want Gruden, but I think you're making the wrong decision.
The St. Louis Rams are reportedly going to draft Virginia Defensive End, Chris Long at 2nd overall. This news comes after 3 and a half days of speculation about who the Rams are leaning towards since Jake Long signed the big contract in Miami.
So, now, we can start hyping and arguing over who the Falcons will select at 3rd overall, if indeed this report is true.
In my opinion, the Falcons need that one guy who put fans in the seats, like Michael Vick did for several years, and the person that immediately comes to mind is Darren McFadden. However, the Falcons have already addressed their running-back problem in the off-season by signing former San Diego Charger Michael Turner.
So, I would think next to go with a QB to compliment the weapons they have there. Michael turner and Roddy White could have breakout seasons if Matt Ryan is Atlanta's man.
However, Glenn Dorsey is a possibility. He seems to be everyone's favorite guy who could immediately make an impact in that defensive scheme set up by new head coach, Mike Smith, former Jacksonville Jaguars Defensive Coordinator.
If I am Smith, I take the man who has proven himself in a pass-first offense, Matt Ryan, and worry about the defense in the later rounds. Kenny Philips or Aqib Talib could fall out of the first round and still be there at pick number 34, which is the Falcons Round 2 pick. Also, if the Falcons are still interested in getting the best nose-tackle available, perhaps Kentwan Balmer would be the way to go in the second round.
My prediction: Matt Ryan goes 3rd to Atlanta.

Tune in to the draft today to see which one of us wins!
What if Matt Ryan were to slip past Atlanta at #3, and Kansas City ay #5? It seems that the majority of opinions say that Baltimore would #### him at #8.
What would this mean for the rest of the AFC North? The Bengals have Carson Palmer, the Browns Derek Anderson, and the Steelers Ben Roethlisberger. If all 4 teams were to have terrific QBs and great talent surrounding them, who could possibly win the division?
Take a look at each teams’ starting offense if the Ravens were to take Ryan.
Baltimore: QB: Matt Ryan RB: Willis McGahee WR: Derrick Mason, Mark Clayton TE: Todd Heap
Cincinnati: QB: Carson Palmer RB: Rudi Johnson WR: Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmandzadeh TE: Ben Utecht
Cleveland: QB: Derek Anderson RB: Jamal Lewis WR: Braylon Edwards, Donte’ Stallworth TE: Kellen Winslow
Pittsburgh: QB: Ben Roethlisberger RB: Willie Parker WR: Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes TE: Heath Miller
There is not distinct winner with these 4 lineups, so just to make things more fun and entertaining in the AFC North in 2008, I hope to hear these words coming from Goodell’s mouth by the end of the day:
“With the 8th pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select, Boston College QB, Matt Ryan.”
