Boo-hoo, you lost AGAIN to the one team you can't seem to beat in the playoffs, the RED SOX.
Well, if anything, ya got what was coming to ya. Maybe some higher entity or baseball god knew that this is how you would react if you lost, and let you have it.
I bet if you won, you'd be preaching about how good a team you are, how much respect we have for the other guys, and all the #### they always feed us.
I've got one thing to say to the Angels and any Angels fans who may be having diareah of the mouth or constipation of the brain, GET OVER IT. I knew you didn't have a chance heading into thie series, and you should have too, but since apparently you didn't, or refuse to admit you did, you're gonna whine about how the "BETTER" team lost 3-1. HA!
Shut up, you morons. The best team in April was the Red Sox, the best team inSeptember was the Red Sox, and now the Red Sox are the best team still playing in the entire league.
And about this "BLOWN CALL" at 3rd. Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!! You have to be visually impaired not to see that Varitek clearly had that Angel out, then fell, followed by the release of the ball. Get it? Tag, fall, drop. Tag, then FALL, then DROP. Tag first.
Right: Tag, fall, drop
Wrong: Drop, tag, fall
Get over it. Once again, you are wrong, and I am there to make sure you remember.
Stop whining, the best you can hope for now is that the Red Sox go 8-0 and win another title. That way, at least your mediocre post-season attempt this year looks semi-good. You'd be the only team to get a win over the BoSox.
If you are an Angels fan, but not one of the whiners, but someone who can take a loss (that was a fair loss, it wasn't rigged) like a man, like a real sports fan, then congrats, and thanks, you give sports fans a good name. However, if you are one of the whiners, get real, and please don't comment until you do so. Thank you.
These were my 2008 MLB predictions that I made on April 8, 2008. Let's see how I did! (The teams are in order of predicted placing in the division)
AL East Red Sox Blue Jays Yankees Rays Orioles
AL Central Indians Royals Tigers White Sox Twins
AL West Angels Mariners Athletics Rangers
NL East Mets Phillies Marlins Braves Nationals
NL Central Cubs Pirates Brewers Cardinals Reds Astros
NL West Diamondbacks Padres Rockies Dodgers Giants
Now, keep in mind, I had never made a baseball prediction in my life prior to these, so don't be too harsh.
Here are my original playoff predictions:
AL 1. Red Sox 2. Indians 3. Angels 4. Blue Jays
NL 1. Mets 2. Diamondbacks 3. Cubs 4. Phillies
ALDS 1 Boston Red Sox vs. 3 Los Angeles Angels = Boston in 5 2 Cleveland Indians vs. 4 Toronto Blue Jays = Cleveland in 5
NLDS 1 New York Mets vs. 3 Chicago Cubs = Mets in 4 2 Arizona Diamondbacks vs. 4 Philadelphia Phillies = Philadelphia in 4
ALCS 1 Boston Red Sox vs. 2 Cleveland Indians = Cleveland in 5
NLCS 3 Chicago Cubs vs. 4 Philadelphia Phillies = Philadelphia in 5
World Series AL Champ Cleveland Indians vs. NL Champ Philadelphia Phillies = Philadelphia in 6
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES 2008 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!!
That was my original prediction back in April for the World Series, and I'm glad to say it's still alive! Yay!
The rest of my picks, eh, not so good. I got 11 right out of 30 for the division seedings. I got 4 right out of 8 possible teams to make the post-season. And finally, I got zero playoff seedings correct. A combined 15 of 46, giving me only a 33% accuracy rating. Ouch. I promise that number will be doubled next year.
Thanks for reading! Take care, and good luck to your team if they made it to the playoffs! If not, then me and you are in the same boat, buddy. My... Poor... Buccos... (sob)
GO STILLERZ! BEAT DA RAVENS TANIGHT ON MUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!
Well, does anyone want to see Francisco Rodriguez break Thigpen's record of 57 saves?
K-Rod currently has 42 saves, which means he only has to save 1 out of every 4 games from this point on to tie Thigpen's record.
Let me hear your thoughts on this topic. Personally, I think it is inevitable that he breaks it this year. As long as he doesn't hurt himself.
The Angels put him in for ONE OUT last night. One out! The final out in the 9th inning was up to him to make, and the Angels put him in there so he would be that much closer to breaking the record.
I thought it was a cool move, but some people may have taken it too seriously. I'm not sure what other people's reactions are yet, but I can see where fans of the losing team may be disgruntled. I don't think they should be, however.
