Earlier today my husband politely forwarded me some links to the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2008 issue which is due out this week. Of interest to both NASCAR and IRL fans are two lovely women featured in this issue.
For NASCAR fans, the lovely Ingrid Vandebosch (Jeff Gordon's Wife) has some eye catching photos.
For IRL fans, the lovely Danica Patrick is also featured in some fun and sexy shots. Also there is an interview with Danica that shows a bit of her humorous side. She was even asked whom she would like to see in a speedo. I won't reveal the answer here...you'll just have to see the article yourself.
While both women are very attractive...I personally think Danica's personality is a bit more evident in these photos. I would reckon that this issue is sure to be flying off the shelves quickly.
Gerrel...Ingrid looks stunning esp so soon after having a baby. Danica is not my "cup of tea" as Forensic puts it. Lisa has the best idea of the bunch! Bring on the boys!
Photo - I suspected as much...since your blog about grid gals.
Forensic - I am surprised by the comment, but it's not for everyone.
Lisa - even though my hubby never gets Sports Illustrated because it doesnt have much racing news, he will be buying this issue because he likes Danica, and of course brunettes. And I am a blonde, lol.
Photo - A g*rilla in speedos??? Maybe Jamie can perform some of his graphic wizardry, and give us a laugh.
Kristen - I agree. I was trying to figure out when they were taken (Ingrid), because Danica mentioned her shots were taken after the IRL season ended last September. And I believe that Ingrid just had her baby in June, so that would have been less than 6 months later.

I never read SI (even the swimsuit issue) and no I don't just look at the pics because I can't read BUT here's an interesting bit of trivia for you. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition is the number one most stolen item from libraries in the U.S. I actually heard that little factoid on a radio station while in Seattle on a sales call and then was lucky enough to call in to an Indiana radio station with that answer a couple of weeks later winning me some nice prizes.
Good thing I had heard it too or I might have guessed War & Peace - lol.
HR13 - Nice to hear that you were able to win a prize with that information. As for War and Peace being a volume lifted from library shelves...perhaps the bibliophiles in your area are fond of classical literature.
Actually I am an avid reader. I often purchase books from library sales, and am a frequent purchaser at Barnes & Noble.

bytemoi - I did notice there were other players wives featured in the issue, but as I do not follow other sports, I do not know who they are.
Thanks for commenting.
Gerrel, LaLa is "fiance" of Carmelo Anthony, who plays for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA, who some (many?) describe as a 'punk'. Left my comment upon seeing her pictures after looking at other players' wives' eye-catching photos.
