How many times have we seen the scenario....famed personalities claiming to retire...only to UNretire. Does it make you mad? upset? do you care? do the persons in question deserve to be bashed and berated?
Contemplate, if you will, the athletes/celebs, who after announcing retirement, wound up making a "comeback", and returning to hear so many people say things like..."he'll regret it" or "he should've stayed retired" or things of that nature.
Obviously, we're all going to have our own opinions concerning the matter, but how about we look at things from the inside. I'm willing to bet that in Favre's mind...he's not only capable of performing at a high level...but he would just miss the game way too much to let it go. Most athletes will feel that way...especially if it's all they've known for so long.
Michael Jordan...Brett Favre...Muhammad Ali...Sugar Ray Leanord...Floyd Mayweather ... Mario Lemeiux... Martina Navratilova....Roger Clemens...George Foreman...Evander Holyfield...Magic Johnson...Too Short...Jay Z...
The list will no doubt go on as long as sports and entertainment goes on. How many times did Too Short retire from the rap game? I think about 7 or 8 times LOL Who cares? It's not such an easy task to go out while you're at the top of your game...and the list above pretty much seals that deal. So what if the people in question run the risk of tainting legendary status...it's their decision to make, isn't it?
