On another post I mention how a TV show said are minds only take in 20 percent of what we see. It was a show about how advertising use and do tricks on us. So with that lets look at the 80 percent we missed out on at Bristol. I have been waiting for the race that the #8 and 88 rubbed, swapped paint and took one out of a race. Well it did finaly happen but it was not much to talk about. But oh what could have been.
Aric driving very well and up front and the clincker 88 on long runs would start to reach the front. They came very close the last turn and on this one they did touch.
Aric gave plenty of room and Dale still slid up and nudg him and Aric kept it going.
Now Dale shows class and lets up for Aric to get going before trying to pass him again.
Now lets just say maybe Aric spins and hit Martin taking them both out of the race. Oh would the $$it hit the fan or what ? They both end up running side by side for a lap and I think they touch again on the back streach on this next frame.
I think Dale was having fun with the rookie, But I think also Martin had enought of Dale playing around with him and on this next turn runs up close to his rear as to say ok stop doing what you use to do to me and lets get going.
I think the rookie Aric did a great job in this race and DEI should be very proud.
Now on to Tony and Kevin. We know what happen and I am only going to show a few cause it when they are touching that if Kevin dosn't over correct they both make it through the turn.
They have made contact and both are ok, Its when Kevin has to save his car from spining and turning the steering wheel to the right and making more contact with Tony that makes Tony reck. and saves himslef.
Closer view of it and it shows Kevin rear want to slid up tords the wall.
Now he corrects it to save it, and Tony gose for a ride.
I guess this evens them up now from Indy of last year ?
Also Carl and Kasey had a close call on this one too that was miss by you know who.
Nice driving by both.
Thats it and hope you all had a very safe and great Easter weekend. Takecare and Godbless..
As far a my mind absorbing 20% of what I see, It might be more like 10%. Then the commercials I absorb 0%. Don't watch them.
When you race on short ovals, trading paint is the rule of thumb. It is interesting to see the COT appear more stable in the bumping and pounding during a race allowing most except Stewart to get the car back under control.
I can recall a bump or traded paint just about always meant loosing it in the old car. Good to see the COT proving itself.
Photogr - Yeah I agree on the stableness of the COT and it helps if they got a good set of Goodyears under them. That was a funny spin, Not for Tony. You would think the first contact more tords the rear would have pop his rear up tords the wall. In stead of up by the door. Cheers
Klvalus - Thanks for the Happy Easter. Yeah welcome taps and maybe hey you are not suppost to be doing so well in that #8, and on evey set of new tires it took him awhile to get up front.
I think thats why Tony E didnt want him to pit for new tires with 10 laps to go, his car was not a winner compaired to the other top 10 with new tires. All I know is he is 5th in points and 96 back from the leader. Cheers
It was actually nice to see Aric Armorola do such a good job running in the front at Bristol. I bet Jr. had fun racing Aric close in his old (#8) ride.
