It's all over in Los Angeles. USC whipped Notre Dame 44-24. The score is closer than the game really was. There were only a few minutes in the entire game when Notre Dame looked like it was even with the Trojans, and most of those were before kickoff.
Now, it's likely Southern Cal will play for another national title. The Trojans will likely jump Michigan in the new BCS Standings that will be released tomorrow. All USC will have to do is beat UCLA. You read it here first, the Bruins have NO CHANCE. As a program, UCLA is light years behind USC.
In other news, after our third piece of pumkin pie, we're full and ready for bed.
I can't wait to see that pansie lookin' Coach Tressel's addled look as the Trojans run him back to Ohio and the ghosts of all the Big Ten runner-ups for a conference! It's simply inevitable.

Norte Dame Still deserve a shot at the national title, they play the strongest schedule in the nation, like NC, Army, Ect. they should play Texas in the nation title game, they both seem to live in the same miopian world. Go Trojans, can't wait until next years #### kicking in south bend
Maybe ND sould not take 2 months off from D-1 football before they play a real team. Can't wait for another BCS Bowl Blowout with ND Losing, Keep dreaming your a national title contender ND.
Please, I remember USC barely made it through a stretch of 3 games against unranked teams. USC lost to Oregon. Michigan lost to #1 Ohio St. in Columbus by only 3 points. Put USC against UM and UM will win. Just as if you put UM against Ohio St. on a real football field they will win that one too.
OSU (Big Ten) and OSU(Pac-10) could kick MU ####! JUst start thinking about LSU in the Rose Bowl ! I'll be rootin' for YOU. FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wolverines

Yea and the supposedly un-biased annoucers were heaping praises on notredame! Notre Dame was highly over rated to begin the season! Now lets see if the so called experts will finally put nd where they belong, out of the top 10 in the bcs, otherwise the bcs is nothing but B.S.

LOL not. Let's pick on the Big Ten why not after this weekend they have 3 I repeat 3 teams in the top 5 in the BCS. Pac ten has 1 in the top 15 now I can LOL. Get a real conference USC!!!!!!!!!!
Fact is Michigan lost their championship already! Face it YOU LOST! Try and save your pride in the Rose Bowl and stop trying to deny a true championship game between CHAMPIONSHIP teams!
nice game for so.cal. I hope the Arkansas loss won't damage your chances of jumping over Mich. that loss to Lsu will change the strength of schedule for So.Cal. anyway you did all you could do. Now it's up to those stupid computers.

#1 Ohio State, #2 yes #2 Michigan, and #5 Wisconsin. With ND ARK and WV losing Wisconsin will move up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said before play in a real conference. Don't believe the media hype. If USC does blow their way in (as usual) I hope to play UF or LSU at least we will be playing a team from a strong conference unlike what Ohio St. will be playing if they play USC!!!!
I think that it is a shame that we will not see the true number two team which is michigan play ohio state even if it is again. When I listen to the sports casters it makes me sick because they just jump from bandwagon to bandwagon and the way I see it is if the number one and two teams are both from the big ten then great but they dont see it that way now if it were the SEC,ACC,or Big Twelve you wouldnt here anything about it just how great they are and what game it would be well guess what Ohio State and SO Cal is not gonna be a game at all as I keep saying the only team that has a chance at beating Ohio State is Michigan. So for all the people who think that SO CAL should jump ahead of Michigan and play for the national championship game remember that when you turn it off after the first quarter because its a blow out and not even worth watching. As far as Florida is concerned get real and stop making up excuses for their conference their sloppy and have played no one really and almost lost to a sorry Florida St. team today and will lose to Arkansas who is overated also, so until we get a playoff system we will just keep on watching boring bowl games oh yeah and watch what the big ten does in the bowl games. I might be wrong but I watch every game every week and am not bias but a realist who is sick of hearing about conferences who play nobody and are nobody. If I am wrong then I will eat my humble pie and shut up.
I hope this blowout of ND makes them go away and maybe play in the Sun Bowl where they would get blown out by Oregon State for their 10th bowl loss in a roll. I am sick and tired of all the announcers hyping ND when they have played no-one besides UM and USC, both who blew them out. Hell, UCLA had them on the ropes as well. El Paso is nice this time of year you bloody Irish!!!!
Good so now that you have a great memory you must remember the Beavers who are not ranked and put a whooping on the trojans. Remember all you want about the past the fact is the big ten is the best this year.
Hey, Joey, calm down there boy! If you can't win your BIG game why should you get a bigger game? If MU were to play OSU again and win does OSU get a rematch? All you whiners from the Big Ten give me a headache.
Beavers will be ranked, they have come off the mat and played good football. The fact that USC never truely blew anyone out in the PAC 10 shows how competetive it is, and how remarkable USC's run is to emerge on the top again, as evidenced by destroying the 6th ranked team. Where will Wisconsin end up? I bet they get jobbed by the lowly Irish.
No they would simply be the better team on that day but either way it would still be two teams from the Big Ten and not the Pac Ten which is a joke look at your teams then think before you speak I know out there on the west coast you have alot of earthquakes that rattle your brains and I am sorry for that you should probably qualify for some goverment program.
I wish I had the statisics right in front of me but the rose bowl is one bowl of many toilet bowls that just bring money into the schools which is great but they can still have a playoff system. Oh yeah and by the way Michigan is the winningest program in college football. Oh, yeah then their all those pro quarterbacks with superbowl rings that came from Michigan and the Receivers and the Running Backs etc, etc, and thats just Michigan do I need to get into the rest of the Big Ten Oh yeah you had all the greats like cade mcnown.
OK let's talk about history. Michigan's football program is among the most successful in college football history. Michigan won the first Rose Bowl game in 1902, has won an NCAA-record 860 games and has an all-time winning percentage of .746, also an NCAA record. The Wolverine football program has claimed 11 national titles. Good night

USC: 11 National Championships, 7 Heismans, Multiple whippings of the big 10 (11?) in the Grandaddy. These guys are young punks and don't know the truth or too stupid to look it up. Schembechler knows the truth.
I can't believe that chumpionship caliber team (USC)could not beat ND by more than 20 points in your house. Shoot Michigan pasted them by 26 at their house. If the pollsters add it all up they will see the stats not opinions will have Michigan being better than USC. Like I said we didn't have to squeek by 3 games then lose to an unranked team. We lost to the #1 team in the nation USC just lost. Hope Arkansas loss don't hurt that LOL Strength of schedule of yours nomo. But as always the media will set up the bowls the way they want. It don't matter who gets to the NC game there will always be contoversy until they get a playoff system. ............GO Bruins................
TO BAD FOR MICHIGAN, NO ONE OUTSIDE OF THE STATE WANTED TO SEE A REMATCH, gLAD WE WON"T SEE IT. gIVE pETE cARROLL A MONTH AND i AM SURE IT WILL BE A GOOD GAME. Too bad michigan didn't play Ohio state at areal stadium, where should they play? maybe Neyland Stadium that way there could fit more Ohio state fans in
Dear wolverine for life, Wisconsin isn't a top 5 team, no one thinks they are outside of two states. Let's go down deeper maybe top 6 bIG 10 osu, Mich, Wisc, PSU, Purdue and Iowa? Pretty exciting group? USC, Cal, OSU, don't know, don't know, don't know. SEC FLA(ick), Ark, LSU, Tenn, Aub, geo all who will be rated Top 25. Oh but gee out of conference USC beat Arkansas at arkansas and Nebraska Big 12 north divsional champ both easily. That would be like beating the big 10 "west" champion easily like Wisconsin
Well the voters in the Harris and the Coaches polls watch the same media BS that I have been watching. If the media wants to be fair to all the possible #2 teams if they run a stat on USC they should compare that stat with Michigan and Florida. But if the media did that the voters may vote for who really deserves it. If they stack up the stats and Michigan is behind USC, so be it Rose Bowl here we come. I can only wait and see the BCS points later today. If the SOS of USC was hurt this week wait til next week when Florida wallops Arkansas and tags them with another lost. Maybe the points will come back to Michigan? or maybe Florida. All we real football fans can hope for is that those idiots from USC that wear dresses in the stands get tagged with a loss of their own by UCLA. GO BRUINS. Shoot Bronco I don't think USC can beat Wisconsin.

Do not count the MAIZE AND BLUE out yet. With 3 BIG TEN teams in the top 10, Ohio st MEECHIGAN, and Wisconsin, the Big Ten is so much stronger than the Pac 10. I think UCLA is better than notre dame, and will give the trojans a good game next week.
USC DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE PUT AHEAD OF #2 MICHIGAN. USC WAS BEATEN BY AN UNRANKED TEAM AND MICHIGAN ALMOST BEAT OHIO ST. FLORIDA SHOULD JUMP USC THEY PLAY IN THE SEC WHERE MORE TEAMS ARE RANKED AND HAVE A TOUGHER SCHEDULE.
Lets see, if I remember correctly somone said that Michigan must not be as good as they were when they beat Notre Dame because their loss came so late in the season. Which means that Notre Dame must be faultering too so I cannot see why so much is put into this game with USC. Also if I remember correctly Notre Dame was number 2 when Michigan beat them? So why does USC get such big kudos for beating them when they are ranked either 5 or 6 depending on who you listen too.
I cannot understand why anyone woud put USC who really played a pretty soft schedule and lost to Oregon State ahead of Michigan. If that does end up happening I can only say that I cannot wait to watch Ohio State blow the trojans out of Glendale. I am a Ohio State hater but you can bet I will be on their bandwagon so they can correct this mistake on the field. I gaurantee you that the BOOTY boy would not have a chance in the Big 10 on a weekly basis.
Oh one more thing, Coach Carrol and Booty boy your offense is not that high powered Notre Dame is lame on defense and you would have no chance against Michigan and or Ohio State. As a matter of fact I would go as far as saying that if the game yesterday was in South Bend you would have lost.

Hey Nomo get a life. Wake up and smell the roses because that is where you deserve to go (will probably lose to LSU there too). USC is babied so much each and every year that they do not worry about losing. They figure that the pollsters will take care of them. All I know that until there is a true playoff system and a true National Champion can be crowned every year these meaningless games will remain just that meaningless. As in years past USC a few years ago did not make it into the NC game so they claimed a share of the NC even though they did not play or win the NC game. Maybe Boise State should jump ahead of everyone since they are undeafeated.....
Boy I would love to see USC reactions then....

oh this is some good fun... i see the debt between which conference is better rages on.. the Big 10 or the Pac 10... and i see we are pulling out stats as well!! well then get them right ! USC vs.Big 10 27-63-2! they have only 9 National titles to there credit according to All-Time Stats 31,32,62,67,72,74,78,03,04... so Big10farmer which ones are missing?..Michigan has 10, see isn't fun. and as for which conference is better or not this year. well let's see we got the Pac-10 which has USC, CAL and Oregen, and a bunch of teams improving! and the Big 10 has Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State(who defense held the Buckeyes and Wolverines offense's to 14 and 17 points respectfully), and a bunch of teams improving.. Big 10 is ranked #2 all-time for conferences.. Pac ranked #4 ...SEC is #1, Big 12 ranked #3....see stats can be fun.. oh and who said Ohio State should get a bigger staduim is a ####.. they have the 4th biggesst one in college football right behind Michigan 107, Penn State 106, Tennessee 104 and Ohio State at 101!.. ok back to the matter at hand who should play for the title? well let's do it the easy way and compare the losses, USC has 1, Michigan has 1! USC's came to the Beavers who are currently ranked #27 in the country at Beaver Stadium by the way.. Michigan's came to Ohio State who is currently ranked #1 and it was at the Shoe!!! and as for whipping Notre Dame you did it at home by 20 Michigan did it at South Bend by 26 so i guess you lose this common opp. debt too!

LOL, I remember when everybody thouht that the orange bowl was going to be close 2 years ago. well here we go again USC is gonna smash the lil bruins and than ohio is gonna feel the wrath of the mighty Pac 10 champions. GO TROJANS
Hello, #1.Collage football has its place, the NFL has its place .
#2.NFL coaches an coaching ,absolutely have No place in collage level football an should NEVER be allowed ! After you finish collage, you have the option to go professional/NFL ,if you desire. NFL coaches an coaching in collage level football discriminates an gives an extreme unfair advantage over every other collage level team across the country ,that doesnt have the exact same resourses! This situation can cause several collages to loose there ability to have a football program an the ability to even compete in the legue as they have a right to ! For these reasons I say,O.S.,USC an a few others should be eliminated from the collage level football legue, immidately ! Let them play in the NFL,thats what there trained for ! The proof is already on film ! If this is what its come to ? Prehaps we should eliminate collage football NOW,an forget about it ?
Great stats bigblue1. Wake up those #### boys from troy so they realize how soft they are. (maybe that's why they are ####, because #### guys like soft things such as USC's schedule). If you take in account all things USC does not deserve to leapfrog Michigan. If they do they will get beat by the Bucks and I hate the Bucks, but I will be rooting for them if USC worms their way in. I mean just 5-6 weeks ago they were bashing USC because of how sloppy they were playing barely beating Wash, Wash. St. etc.... now they are this great team. Whatever.....the pollsters need to take the whole season into account not just the last two weeks that unfortunately Michigan, Ohio St. and wisconsin have already played. If Michigan is shut out of the NC the Big Ten needs to spread out our season so we can stay fresh in the minds of the voters so they don't forget we played 12 games just like USC. We just did it without a bunch of Buy weeks. I just hope the BCS gets it right and not put a 10-1 USC team past an 11-1 Michigan team.
Ahh the marvels of myopia! big 10 big deal. Ohio State played such toughies as northern ill, bowling green, indiana, minnesota, northwestern and more!! whoopie! in reality they had 3 tough games in mich, texas and penn state. USC? they ONLY had arkansas, nebraska, notre dame, oregon, cal and az state ALL of whom will be in bowl games.
But you know what the great bottom line is? Michigan, who also played NO ONE (unless you count such powerhouses as central michigan, ball state and indiana) will be RELEGATED to the also ran rose bowl while SC will be winning its 12th ntl championship against the once again overrated LUCK EYES.
the politics thrive in college football. The announcers last night made me sick. I had to change the channel. For announcers to be that bias, are truely embarassing to their peers and the general public. U of M is the only legitimate #2 team, they don't need assistance from bandwagon, coward spineless announcers who look for another bandwagon next week.
Mikey, Another Boy from Troy how are ya. well lets look at what you are saying.
Is USC's likely 11-1 regular season record better than Michigan's 11-1 mark? NOOOOOOOOO
Is USC's 20-point win against the Irish at home better than the Wolverines' 26-point win on the road? Ah let me think NOOOOOOOOOOO
Is USC's two-point loss at then-unranked Oregon State worse than Michigan's three-point loss at No. 1 Ohio State? UMMMMMMMM why think about this one Yesssssss
and mikey to answer your question.......
Is USC's schedule, which could include 10 bowl teams, more impressive than Michigan's schedule, which features seven bowl teams? Could is the key word and maybe is my answer mikey. Don't be rude to the other boys of troy roll back over in bed and kiss nomodrive and tell him how much you love USC. Kiss, Kiss
If USC jumps over Michigan, the BCS would prove a farce and the coaches (and announcer Mushburger, who all but put USC at #2 by himself) perpetrators of a weakly justified coup. USC lost to LOWLY Oregon State, while MI lost by just 3 to #1 Ohio State, (whom USC seems to brag is no better than they; oh, what arrogance). MI beat the #### out of Notre Dame thus results of USC-ND game alone does not support the flipflop in rankings. You guys are jokes; a hex on ya; youse networks just can't stomach a New Year's bowl game unless one of your prima-donna's is in it. All about the money, honey.

Everyone and their grandmother's grandmother said that we wouldn't play in the National Title game when we lost to Oregon St. by a mere two points, in which we didn't convert the two point conversion to tie the game. So with that being said and the fact that we beat Arkansas, Nebraska, Oregon, Cal, and Notre Dame by an average of 22.6 points, there is no reason we shouldn't be in the National Championship. I think we have proven ourselves. BUT FIRST WE NEED TO BEAT OUR RIVALS UCLA.
Can anyone answer these strange questions: Why does everyone think Michigan belong in the National Championship? Who did they play? Who did they beat? Lets recap how they got into the top 10 in the first place. They started off in the top 25, beat an overated ND team that was ranked #2 at the time because of the preseason polls, and then they beat the mediocre teams of the Big Ten. Then they lost to the only REAL team on their schedule, Ohio State. Why is every giving them credit for scoring a late touchdown at the end of the game? And why is everyone giving them credit for beatin ND? Has anyone realized that ND doesn't have any atheltes that can compete? Their strength starts and ends with Brady Quinn, the best quaterback in college football. What other playmaker's do they have? This is the very reason we rolled over then 44-24. So what does this amount to? The Rose Bowl against Notre Dame. That's where Michigan belongs. It's not SC's fault they know how to persevere, and they have tremendous atheletes, who get the job done.
hey DaQuan get out of Mikey's bed and look at the schedule a little better. If it was not for one of those stupid BCS rules the Big Ten would have 3 teams playing in BCS Bowls. Did you forget a one loss Wisconsin team sits at about #5 when the other three losers fall today. So thats 3 out of 5 Big Ten teams in the top 5 and 4 in the top 25 (Penn State). So when the Pac Ten can reach those standards let me know until then get back in bed with mikey and wait for the standings. Oh and Wisconsins one loss was given by Michigan. Get a real conference............
I'm gonna laugh my #### off when OSU crushes the Trojans and sends them back whipmering to that hideous pit of plasticity and gridlock known as Southern California, the center of everything fake and horrible. Maybe then, all their horrible, arrogant bandwagon fans will shut up for 10 minutes until Pete Carroll starts whining about some injustice. Seriously, I don't care how many MNCs your football team wins, it'll always epitomize the big, flashy, hollow emptiness of Southern California. (full disclaimer-I'm a resident of Northern California, though not a Cal fan)
How interesting it is to watch partisan fans blog their teams. Unfortunately, for the most part columnists and announcers are no better, because after watching Boise State destroy Nevada, it would be very interesting to see them play. Why you say? It's called winning their conference and being undefeated. What is unfortunate is that the BCS has destroyed the Bowl system. Wisconsin, 11-1, whose only loss was to Michigan had to accept an invitation to the Outback bowl. That means that some other twice defeated team gets to go to one of the BCS bowls. Let's see, underated teams may well be LSU, Auburn, Wake Forest, BYU, and Boise State, overated teams definitely are Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Nebraska. So for the BCS bowls, let's try:
USC vs OSU (BSC Championship)
Michigan vs Boise State(Rose Bowl)
Florida/Arkansaw)winner vs Wisconsin (Sugar Bowl)
Florida/Arkansaw)loser vs Louisville(Fiesta Bowl)
Auburn or LSU vs Nebraska/Oklahoma winner (Orange Bowl)
Did I forget anyone? Yes, Notre Dame, Texas, and West Virginia. Sorry folks, they don't play anyone, and the good teams they play beat them. What really peeves me it how crass and overtly biased the system is. It excludes conferences that are considered "minor" unlike the college world series (remember Fresno State?) or March Madness (here there are too many teams to mention). I really don't understand what everyone is thinking, there is a solution, and it's not a playoff. Just to prove which team is better, mandate that they rotate playing their non-conference games against the best teams in anothe
