We want to grow this community of bloggers to make it even more vibrant and diverse. So, we'd like to hear why YOU blog--your reason might appear on an ad campaign that will run on FOXSports.com.
We're looking for things like...
101. Because Yankees fans need to hear from Sox fans
100. Because Matt Lienart was a horrible draft pick
99. Because Kobe should be the MVP
98. Because USC is over-rated
97. Because professional wrestling is real
96. Because soccer is a sport
95. Because the Texans made a HUGE mistake
94. Because the Orioles need a bullpen
...
Because it a) makes me a better writer and thinker by default, but more importantly it b) motivates me to be a better, more accountable sports fan and contributor to society. And c) it's a blast!
Because most of my friends and family look at me like I'm Rainman when I say the stuff I write on my blog. At least this way, people only think I'm Rainman, I don't have to see them looking at me with that pitying look in their eyes....
27. Because someone needs to shine a light on all those important stories that are going tragically unreported, like NBA officiating, Barry Bonds and the Duke Lacrosse team.
93. Because blogging serves as an outlet for my passion for sports rather than driving my uninterested girlfriend insane with my constant sports related conversations
I blog because FoxBlogs has become my primary source of sports commentary. I want to give back my knowledge and opinion to the community because I know many people get their news from FoxBlogs as well.
99) Gretzkys number-- to show that NHL fans can write and do it efficiently in the other three categories of the sports. To write why I like to say letsgoredwings, when I watch them.
23) Lebron James
19) When Steve Yzerman retires it will not only be the end o####reat career, it will mark the passing of the end of an era that had Gretzky, Super Mario Lemieux, and the Captain Steve Yzerman.
9) That there are sports legends and superstars who wore number 9-- Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, and in baseball, Carlos Guillen.
3) That I agree with Tom and will blog that Soccer is a sport, I wrote a post about FIFA and the networks of ABC before this post.
2) Keep an eye out for the newcomer who has great reads on their blogs that no one has noticed-- i.e. whathappnd and sabresmeetstanly. sabresneetstanley has the best name among the new bloggers. It is says why he blogs. Plain and simple. I am adding to my list of favorites when the writing and as the blogs will be around here for more than a month and a half.
1) I have a voice inside with the unsatiable urge to write and do it well, so people think and read books afterwards. and I also blog to read the variety of the writing contained in this site. I always read the blogs on my favorites list, I will leave comemnts when I see a post on the blog that is the best on it. All of the community on this site is diverse and I like what we say when it is combined.

Because I live in a corner of the world that is pretty much ignored in the sports world (see Super Bowl XL pre-coverage "the WHO Seahawks? Isn't that in Alaska somewhere?" and it is nice to have others to share news and opinions with that may be just as frustrated as I for similar reasons. Also because I am a writer in my "real world" job and I need to write about something relaxing and not health related.
1) Because it is my only refuge in a household full of non-sports fans.
2) Because there are far too many Braves and Laker haters who need to be shown the light.
3) So this professional sportswriter posting under a pseudonym can tell you what he really thinks about the world of sports and not jeopardize his objectivity at his regular gig. LOL, just kidding, I can only wish.
Ok, really...I bring people from the false light into the Power Of The Dark Side. Too many silly commentators making a living at this, and I bring the Truth for free. That will change.
