Categories are used to "tag" your blog posts. That way, your readers can quickly find everything you've ever said about the Philadelphia Eagles or NASCAR or Kobe Bryant. You can attach as many categories to a blog post as you'd like!
If you'd rather not tag your posts, of course, you don't have to. Categories are completely optional.
To add a category to your post, just start typing in the "Category" field. Some suggestions for what category you're after may appear as you type; you can use our predefined categories, or create new categories of your own.
So a conference with half of it's teams under .500 is the best in America? Sorry man, dont think so!
How about the ACC with 8 of 12 teams over .500?
or
the Big 10 with 7 out of 11 over .500?
or
the Big 12 with 8 of 12 over the same mark?
or
even the MAC has 7 of 12 teams over .500?
Man people get a little clouded on how good the Pac 10 is because USC dominance but common fam. Oregon next best thing lets lay it down. UClA beaten by what at USC. ACC and Big Ten take your choice.
The pac 10 can score. They do not play defense.
Im not sure the lower half of the pac are
very good teams copared to the lower half
of most of the power conferences.

Sorry that all you Steelers fans read at a 3rd grade level and vote liberal. Damn, I've never met a bunch of losers like you in my life. Seahawks win or lose will still not bed our mothers and sisters. We apologize for having teeth, degrees, jobs, our own insurance etc. My advice to you is to start your car in a closed garage while you wait for your big loss, loser.
Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?I am a New member.I have posted two blogs.I can't figure out how to get to someone's blog site if they are NOT listed on that day's front page or in the most popular blog box or recently updated blog box or in my favorites box.How do i get to their site or even tell my friends how to access my site if i don't post that day?...Canyon Dave..dmanfredm@yahoo.com
Not to be one who disagrees with the power that be (see: FOXBlog) ... but as much as I like the idea of categories and tags, all I've concluded from them is that people love to abuse them to get front page publicity on the blog main page. People post about things as non-mainstream as Chess or NFL cheerleaders, yet they get front page notice in NHL or NBA sections because they put every last possible American sport's league acronym as their tags.
just a matter of grammar, since grammar is considered important in the next great sportswriter contest: sportswriter on your website is spelled sportswritter, with two tts. this, of course, is incorrectt.
I really advise anyone who has not yet read the great blogs by ghost 21 do so now. He really knows sports. I look forward to reading his blogs everyday.
I don't know how anyone can say who is the best athelete ever when they all competed at different sports requiring different abilities. Why don't we just say that each of these sports greats are the best atheletes ever in their own respects and sport. Micheal will dunk all over federer and woods. Tiger would putt the lights out on mike and roger. Roger would serve and volley mike and tiger to death. But overall they are all just great!!!!! Let's just appreciate that!
What a bunch of cry babies. Zemek you must be a Sooner yourself. Zemek problably only saw one play in the game. Big deal. How about the calls officials missed that led to Oklahoma points. Howabout being up 13 points with three minutes left and loosing the game. How about letting the Ducks block your field goal that would have won the game. How about giving up 500 yards...how 'bout that great Sooner defense. Zemek and the
rest of his Oklahoma fan base think the are entitled. Guess what there are hundreds of officiating mistakes made every year in college football and many of those cost teams the game. Grow up!!!
Duke's Hendersen screams, "I didn't do it!" (i.e., "On purpose, that is.")
Sure, Hendersen admits to a foul, but"Obviously it was a foul, but was quoted:
"I was not intentionally trying to hurt anybody," said Henderson, who had a season-high 16 points before being ejected with 14.5 seconds left. "He got our guys in the air, and I came down on him."
HOGWASH!
Did you see the replay? Hendersen was looking right at Hansbrough's face and never extended his arm as is the customary position to block shots. He never swiped where the ball was or was going to be. The Dukey's arm was bent at the elbow at a full 90 degrees and when he came thru...well, let's just say a seasoned boxer never had a better power-move with his shoulder more thoroughly behind the punch! It was crunching slash depicted by a full turn of the shoulders and clearly meant to inflict as much bodily harm to the Tarheel center as possible.
Hendersen did it and got away with it (sans a one game suspension) and is even backed up by Coach K., who is beyond reproach by anybody...until now. I can see it now, the 'Coach' instructing his boys to be more physical and not get muscled away from the basket. He looks them each in the eyes and says, "You know what I mean?" And so young, aggressive males are left to their own interpretations of what it is he meant and ...walla!...a bloodied, broken nose on one of the premier players in the country.
And, get this, the game was no longer indoubt...the Dukes had lost handily and only fifteen or so seconds re
And, get this, the game was no longer indoubt...the Dukes had lost handily and only fifteen or so seconds remained in the game. The incident is outrageous and is a microcosym of outlandish behavior in sports where physical contact is more than incidental. A one game suspension is not enough. Indeed, more (a lot more!) intentional fouls need to be called by BLEEPfooting officials. Tough; solid; aggressive; hard-nosed; unrelenting; focused; courageous...all of that can be positive, but not to the point of assault that if it takes place anywhere else -- like on the street or in the school's bookstore or dining room -- then charges get filed and the cell door clanks shut until bond is made or he appears before a judge to say, "Yeah, I fouled him, your honor. But, really, I didn't mean to hurt him. Just ask my coach!"
Dale Jr. was fined 100 driver points. Tony Jr. was fined 10,000 dollars, and put on probation till Dec 31, 2007. What happened to the owner getting fine as well. Most of the time or all of the time I should say...It goes for the "WHOLE TEAM" owner included. Nothing has been said about the owner being fined points or money. What do you all think?
I am a resident of Akron area. I am very proud of our hometown boy King James ! And very proud of the Cavs. They are Champions ! They acomplished a hell of a lot this season ! They all played well and did their best ! No shame or blame to anyone ! OUTSTANDING ! Congratulations to the entire Cavs team for a great season. We will not soon forget what a great season it was.
Please fix it so that "categories" with a period can be added...I get error messages, for example, when trying to select the "Dale Earnhardt Jr." line as a category. Why have it as a category if it can't be selected?
Carl Ripken has been the best baseball player in the past 20 years(on and off the field) Barry Bonds is a great hitter (period) average defensive player -
Hank Aaron has his reasons for not attending the event of Bonds breaking his record-but can you imagine the uproar from Al Sharpston and Rev. Jackson if this was Bonds breaking Ruth record(if he was alive) they would try to make it a racial issue -
burn him down and let someone responsible and appreciative of life and team and posistion come in. Cant play by the rules privately, why should you get to play at all in public.
Hell yes the media fix all the sports for gambling payoffs and then write storys about the stars for thier fakes to setup web sites to sell pictures t-shirts ball caps and such pure organize crime
Tiger Woods will beat all the Rory Sabbatini wannabees out there when they talk trash. I love to see idiots like Sabbatini get walked over. Anybody notice the dumbo ears wiggle and red pimply face tighten up as Tiger passed him by like he was standing still? If Tiger stays healthy he will win over 20 majors.
You Gotta Hit The Ball
Aug 11, 2007 | 6:08PM - Edit | Delete When you listen to all of the Barry Bonds haters, wanna be commentators who only jibberjabber to boost their ratings before they get fired still fail to realize ........... "You still got to hit the ball." Barry Bonds in a lot of peoples opinion especially mine, is one of the greatest baseball players to ever play the game next to Hank Aaron. To the speculators, wife cheaters, and meth monsters with the mic, I wonder how many skeletons are in your closet. Let's open life up and see what comes out, and don't let me call you out.
Barry, keep doing your thing man, Keep those sharks at bay. I admire you for allowing people not to get to close to you and your family and for knowing who to trust your heart with, that's so important, because people will try to pull you down. Bonds for Commissioner.
