The White Sox have completed interleague play for 2006 with only 4 losses. 4-2 record over the Cubs, and a sweep over the Cards among all the great wins. The Bulls have signed Ben Wallace!!!! A deal worth nearly 60 Million After the Bulls get Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha after a series of trades. After these move The Bulls are to me the 3rd best Eastern Team , Ben Wallace the best center in the league and two amazing new prospects, if young bulls can mature and work on their shooting and lasting 4 quarters the Bulls could be contending for a championship

The Chicago White Sox have one 9 in a row!! An amazing show by almost every batter including Joe Crede's grand slam today to tie the game.

But the great streak is being clouded by other events.

Ozzie Guillen called Jay Marrotti a homosexual slur Well Ozzie meant Jay was a punk but in his culture the word in question means punk basically. This causes an uproar throughout the country leading to threats from Ken Williams about Ozzie getting fired, Ozzie going to training and fines. Futhermore Jay Marotti a columnist I do not respect or like is getting free publicity.

What I believe is that The entire Sox team from Owner Reinsdorf to Hawk needs to stop bringing up this. Talk about your play talk about fighting the Tigers, talk about the upcoming Cubs series, talk about the umps cheating the sox when it comes to hitting batters but shut up with this nonsense, let Jay go back to losing at Around the Horn and let Ozzie go back to trying to repeat.

Went to the White Sox/Cards(Sox won 20-6)  game last night, it was fun game but the hitting the sox batters is getting annoying. Why can't players settle their issues through playing instead of bad sportsmanship. Instead of hitting a batter throw a strike out.

The Miami Heat are NBA Champs

After a back and forth playoffs, The Heat come back from being down 2-0 to win in Dallas. An amazing performance by Wade all series along with good play from the Miami bench and bad play from Dirk.

So why is it relief? Shaq won one without Kobe and Phil, Gary finally got one, Zo can retire with his health and a ring, and Wade shows up Lebron and Melo.

The White Sox as of 5:00 pm central are 2 behind the Tigers heading into their last game before interleague play 2. Bad perfomance by Javier Vazquez led to a complete blow out by Texas including a 4 run 3rd. One of the worst things about this game is the lack of hitting. 8-0 not 8-4 no runs, 4 hits...4!! Along was better pitching better hitting and run production is needed. This is startign to get patethic. It was a problem last year but it was overshadowed by the fact the white sox was at leat 6 games ahead almost all season, but the division is better this year.

Get Demoted

Sean Tracey rookie reliever was demoted to Triple-A after he didnt bean a ranger after A.J. was beaned twice by pitcher padilla.

Return of interleague play

The White Sox face 5 of the 6 NL central teams, starting friday @Reds, STl (manage to get tickets to game 1) Hou, @Pit, @ Cubs

The White Sox need to step it up aganist the much weaker NL teams, STL may be the only real challenge.

Speaking of weak NL, STL isnt doing well, the rest of the NL central isnt a real challenge, NL west is a joke, NL East contains the only true contender the Mets, the phillies and marlins are completely washed up and the Braves are doing bad now but who knows they havent lost the division in 15 years.

Defense? Tyrus Thomas he brings the size and defense that the Bulls need. Really needs to work on offensive game.

1st show (recorded June 7th) Sox lack of runs, NBA finals match up, MLB Draft, Olympics in Chicago?, World Cup

So the White Sox are down 10-2 about to be 1.5 behind Detroit, why?

Poor pitching, Team ERA before June 7; 7.41, that doesnt count this weekend.

Even though the great comeback win from yesterday, these bad showings by pitchers wont win a Championship, I know it will be unlikely that they reproduce last season but they need to pitch better than this.

Stranded? all these base runners being stranded by sox hitters, we would so much more games if runners are not hung up to dry.

8 and 9: Uribe slow start and gradually being replaced by Tron (Alex Cintron) and the half a player Brian Anderson, Anderson has been great on defense but batting  below .170 which is pathetic for a major leaguer, his glove wont save him forever.

So what can be done??

I can suggest several ideas, demoting Jon Garland, replacing Anderson with Rob Mackowiak or Jerry Owens,  but it may just be something simple like a trade or a sharp rant from Ozzie, but everyone must play harder.

Then they did, after i posted this the first time The White Sox put up 6 runs at the bottom of the ninth to lose 10-8, maybe this is the start of some harder play and better pitching? One can only hope.

The Dallas Mavericks won game 1.

 Dwyane Wade being shut down 3/4 of the game (going 5-18 for 15 pts in quarters 2-4) This will have to get changed, he has to spread the ball so the defense isnt just smothering him.

Shaq had a alright game, but alright doesnt win NBA championships,  8-11, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 17 points He also has to beat the Dallas double teams.

Stop shooting 3's Walker's 33% three point shooting, and most of those shots came at bad times and when other people were open (Wade and Walker combined for 11 turnovers, wow that sounds like some good ball handling.

Zo played scared and the team needs to transition from offense and defense more smoothly or this will be a forgettable finals.

Also, Jason Terry put up 32 making up for unchararisticly low point production from Dirk and Josh Howard.

So thats game 1

First a team that never made it to the world series went against a team that havent made it in 88 years

Dallas vs Miami: Dallas have 6 players vs miami's 2 1/2 players. Best matchup dirk vs haslem, I think Dirk can take care of haslem really fast.

Who needs two step up Jason Terry, the steve nash replacement needs to step up on offense and defense to even think of slowing down Wade.

Miami vs Dallas: Whos gonna stop dirk? maybe a wade/dirk match up kinda like Drik did to nash. cause haslem or payton cant do it.

So Last weekend was the Cubs-White Sox series.  Sox won the series 2-1, the games always has the fun of a rivarly. Sox fans arguring with Cubs fans, splits in families, and the fight even intenstified this rivarly. As seen below

But alot of people have asked me why? Why do the teams hate each other. Its not like Red Sox- Yankees where their in the same division.

Well it starts like this,

The Cubs orginally called the Chicago White Stockings (yes ironic) was established in 1876,They changed their name

 they were the only team in town until 1901 when the Chicago White Stockings moved from St. Paul. The south siders won the AL in 1901 but had 3 consecutive sub par seasons and one 2nd place finsh, they really did nothing to get all of Chicago intrersted unlike their NL counterpart who won 3 straight NL championships with in their first 6 years. Also lots of people liked the fact it was alot of young players (irony, the white sox 2000 campaign was the kids can play) So The Sox got no attention until 1906. In 1906 The then Westside Cubs won 116 games but were upset by the "Hitless wonders" Chicago White Sox. The White Sox hit a team average of .230 and 7 Homers, 7!  But the White Sox defeated the Cubs in the 1906 World Series in 6 games.

Thats all it took, one upstart team that a represented a minority of the city upsetting the city's golden child.

Over the next 91 years The Sox drew in fans by establishing themselves as a AL force winning another World Series in 1917 and cheating their way out of one in 1919, while the Cubs won in 1907 and 1908.

Both teams went on a historic championship drought The Sox finally broken on the glorious day of October 26, 2005. but the Cubs keep on to this day, While The sides of town have became very different, from street names, to bus routes, to traditions, slang, races of people, the teams represent their people.

Because the rivarly is based of sterotypes, the poor, immigrant, working class White Sox upsets the rich Cubs. The south side is typically working class low income families while the North side is typically higher income and more of a tourist attraction.

As time went on both teams have developed their own heroes, rivals in their divisions and so on. Ironically enough both teams wore the colors red, white, and blue until 1990 when the sox changed to silver and black.

The media also began to develop in the rivarly, The Cubs became a tourist attraction, the loveable losers could be seen thoroughout the world and become far from Chicago became Cubs fans. Sox fans hated this with a passion. It seems like the Cubs were evey where, while the White Sox continue to have low sales at 35th and shields.

But then came interleague play in 1997, to show in play who was the better team

The Sox are ahead 27-24 since 1997. Besides the fact The Sox have more bragging rights since the Sox won the World series in 2005

You might say I'm biased since I'm a sox fan but look at this

Jerseys: The Sox jerseys have been better looking than the cubs with the exception of the 1930s Sox in block letters and the 1986-1989 jerseys.
