Erma, you kill me. You must have picture of one of the Fox webmasters having sex with a goat or some woodland critter. It's the only logical explanation for your most recent (or any) pee-rant getting BOTD.

I just skimmed your most recent whine and cheese party (veiled as  critique of the BCS ranking system). Once again, you tried to deliver sports content and failed like Billy Martin claiming he would prove Mike Vick's innocence.

Sure you did a wonderous job of complaining, no doubt because your USC Condoms weren't at the top of the BCS Dogpile. But even my Siberian Huskies can bark when they hear noises they don't like. Yet Fox never gives them BOTD for their vituperitous nature.

Yet, the rant wasn't enough. You had to add the mere implication of an NFL style playoff tournament as an alternative solution. That's proof positive of your absence of sports knowledge and critical ineptitude. Have you counted the number of D1 College Football teams, Erma? Sure, anything's possible, but how effective would a "Denslow Cup" long playoff format be in determining a real College Football Champion? Aside from the logistical improbability, what is the likelihood that the best team could "win out" over an egregioulsy extended playoff series? It's about as likely as you're being able to defend your "Doug Williams was a scab, blunder, or your Mike Vick will walk, embarassment.

Now you'll scramble to tell us how you didn't say that the NFL format was a "real" solution; just that the BCS was making it look better by comparison. And that assertion would be true. There's only one problem with that approach, it leaves your diatribe glaringly absent one little piece; a solution.

And that's what makes it less a BOTD and more a 3rd grade essay.

Look, Fox will hand you BOTD one out of every 2-3 days by rote. In the words of the soon to be great Mike Tomlin,  "they do what they do". So why not leave the writing to the writers and do what you best; pirate and parrot puff pieces. Please.

So let me get this straight. You continue to throw up blogs personally attacking Lisa...then claiming that her sports aptitude lacks...but yet you throw up a blog that has ZERO to do with sports...and EVERYTHING to do with infatuation.

You need to get a grip DrSports!

DAT...DrSports is Chris's alter ego..though he don't have the nads to admit it.

MOVE ON CHRIS!!!!

I have made several comments over the past few days about skanky(lisa)4usc about her pathetic situation and how she has nothing to say other than to praise the bunch of nobs from usc and #### all over eveyone else. I am amazed that she has time each day to scratch her own #### as she spends hours upon hours posting #### and its beyond a joke. Her kids must be so proud!!!!!

As a relative n00b here, I will say this, Fox Sports does indeed love her blog, whether she has the best post or not.

I think that Miller Lite logo above her name as just as much to do with that as anything. I mean her work is fine... but the best everyday?

/just sayin'

Matt,

One part of sportswriting is discussing the verity and quality of the efforts of other sportswriters.

My response has a good deal more to do with sports than ripped-off answering machine jokes, 4-sale sign tripe, or re-makes's of Erma Bombeck articles.

But for those who wish to critique a genuine critique, let he who is 100% sports-contented, cast the first stone.

Aussie,

Everyone has the right to be a terrible writer. Lisa makes full use of it. My real issue with er is how absolutely wrong she is when it comes to facts, and how absolutely obvious it is that she jacks the material of deceased and nearly dead authors.

Add to that, it just irks me that the Foxwads deign to celebrate the mustachioed lady.

If that new "Milf" woman could even crayon some stick-figures playing a real sport, I think the Foxwads would blow a gasket fighting over who to give BOTD.

Thanks for seeing reality!

UKjedi,

The Miller Lite logo would be a good guess, but fox was sucking her hind #### long before that Logo appeared.

Kelly,

You're a nice person to say that. But Lisa would win as many sports trivia contests as Joey Harrington would win SB's. A blow up doll knows more about sports than Erma.

Don't sell yourself short.

for some reason, women sports bloggers, whether they are worth it or not, get a ####-ton of love from the blogosphere in general...

i found the whole, "Who Cares Whose Conference is Better" discussion kind of amusing... I support the SEC. does that somehow make me any less of a sports fan? does my SEC support somehow diminish me as a person?

actually, according to one of her followers, it makes me psychologically inadequate... and that came from a Pac 10 fan.

UK,

I not sure, but my theory is that it's just a bunch of net-nerds slobbering over a glamour shot of an allegedly, southern californian, woman (regardless of the mustache).

The likelihood is that their best looking date ever was bridge troll, so Erma is scintillating by comparison.

The proof is that this new Sportsmilf woman writes about Soccer, a total non-issue in the US, and has immediatley vaulted to star status. At least she can write though.

I guess it's all about image, who knows if this milf character is really a woman or just some schmo.

Who is to say if that's a pic of the person or just something he/she found on the net.

Some people use 20 year old pictures of themselves as their avatars, and after seeing the recent ones I understand why.

Were you around for the brief appearance of the character called "Iluvu"?

He/she had an Avatar of a chick in her skivvies, a new blog with no comments, and the pimple faced geeks that run this site made it BOTD.

I don't really care what Fox geeks put up as botd or mib, unless it's from a couple of people who's stuff I like to read I'm not going to click on it anyway.

Is the site realgm? I'll check it out.
