Well, let me clarify that somewhat--My first "Real" fight. I'm not talking about a Mayweather/Big Show "fight" at "Fake-A-Mania", or even a Tyson rematch for "Chumps R US' (the" US" being the paying public). I'm talking about a head kicking, #### knocking, being carried off on a strecher type fight!
Now I've been around fights all my life. Dad boxed a little in the Navy during WWll and we went to the fights in Dallas and Ft. Worth all the time as I was growing up; and I saw some good ones doing time down in Texas. But what I witnessed last night was fighting in its most savage form!
My neighbor, who is a third degree something and a second degree whatever, was a participant in last nights festivities and gave me front row, V.I.P. seats! He is a nice guy and I figured he would last about 30 seconds, give or take 10 or 12.- More on this later---We were so close to the action that you could smell the testosterone flowing in the ring!
This sport may make some cringe and look the other way--Others go into a blood lust and scream like primordial animals. I saw it as controled violence in its most savage form.
These guys are tough, and they are good! The only way an adverage man could win against these guys is with a .45 at 20 paces!
I usually get my violence fix watching football or reading the comments on these posts(Cant we just be friends?), and last night about did me in, but this was my first Real fight., and I will go again.
And about my neighbor? Well, his opponent was about a foot taller, with muscles bulging out through the tattoos. He looked meaner than a West Texas Rattler after a rainstorm. Your worst nightmare come to life! And I was right--It was over fast! A couple of licks in the ribs and a kick to the head sent this dude out of the ring! Quickness and skill beat muscles and mean! I would have never have believed it!
I have a new respect for my mild mannered neighbor; and believe me on this---My dog will NEVER #### in his yard again! He made a believer out of me!!!
I'm a Cowboy fan who has followed the Boys since the 60's. I was raised in Fort Worth and recently moved to St. Charles, Mo. and have been exposed to Rams football such as it is. (YUK!) I love Cardinal Baseball and am proud to be a transplanted Cowboy fan in Ram country. I follow Maverick Basketball and feel that Mark Cuban should run for President or Emperor. Hockey, I dont understand and I think that soccer should be kept in England. Al Bundy is my hero and role model and I hope to revive "NO MA'AM" in his honor! (National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood) My fantasy is to run naked in the wind and my passion is riding Harleys. Have a great day! I am!!!...
