A Snowball's Chance in...Boston
Oct 21, 2007 | 9:12PM | report this

Boston is flying high right now. Congrats to the Red Sox! Cleveland played a great series. This game could've gone either way. Tough, tough loss for the Indians. It came right down to the last game - great series. Of course, the Mets were in the Indians position last year...one game shy of the Pennant.  I feel your pain.

Boston's players had so much confidence, so did Cleveland - right up until Lofton was held up at third. Total momentum shift there. Solid hitting by the Sox, too. Great game.

Wednesday will be a tough night in our house. Hubbie wants the underdog of underdogs, the Colorado Rockies to win...I'll have to stand by my temp-team.

Whew. I'm beat. Cheering for your newly adopted Pennant-winning team is tiring.

What a game for Dustin Pedroia! Reminds me of that great Lord of the Rings line,

"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future..."

Go Boston!

I'm starting to hate the Sox with the same magnitude that I hate the Yankees. Well maybe not that much.

Just don't let your Met fan friends see you wearing your American League Champion T-shirt and hat....Bring on the Rox!

Carolyn,

So does that make Pedroia a hobbit?

Thrilling comeback for the Sox. 12-2 and 11-2. That's pretty emphatic.

Should be an exciting World Series. Both teams certainly have a ton of momentum. The Rockies just keep winning and winning. So, I wouldn't put anything past such a red-hot team right now.

I kind of hope the Series goes to a Game 7. A winner-take-all elimination game with everything on the line for both teams would be pretty cool.

Apparently this Sox fandom has a lot of peripheral stress associated with it...high salaries, Manny's being Manny, Beckett attitude...and that whole DH thing. Maybe I should switch back to the Rockies. I dunno. I won't be awake for those games anyway..who am I kidding?

Nooch, yes, it makes him a very, very talented Hobbit. Check for the telltale hairy feet...

Is game 7 scheduled for Colorado? I didn't look. They're going to have to bring their wooly-winter Red Sox.

I think someone else should be Manny for a while, just to see what it's like....

Had to read that line twice. Didn't have my glasses on and thought it said "Even the smartest person can change history." I liked that.

Wonder what happens if the RedSox get snowed in at Donner Pass?

If it's for more than a couple of hours, I'm guessing Big Papi will go through the rest of the team like a wolf attacking a herd of cows. Inside of 24 hours, he'll be the only one left....
