A response to T.O., Romo open up about life, football

I love these boys but shame on Marvez for writing such an article.  There was no point.   Is this what happens in the off season???  We turn to writing pointless articles comprised only of quotes???  If I turned a paper like this in for a grade, it would be marked with a BIG RED F!!!  This is shameful!

Leave T.O. alone

A response to Signs pointed to Cowboys being in trouble

This article is further proof that people just want to talk junk about Owens.  When he talks, everyone rants and raves about how he doesn't support his team and he is a selfish player.  He worked his butt off to get healthy and play in this playoff game.  Even kept his mouth shut at the practices before the game.

Now, when the team loses, and he shows the emotions that EVERYONE has claimed he doesn't have, EVERYONE is all over him again calling him weak.

What do you want from this guy?  Do you want him to play his heart out?  DONE.  Do you want him to support and defend his team mates in the end?  DONE AND DONE!  Get off his back.

Until you can do it better than he does, stop being a armchair critic and shut your mouth.

Thoughts on T.O. practices, on track to play vs. Giants

A response to T.O. practices, on track to play vs. Giants

This is awesome news.  And yet my favorite part of the article was when the reporters couldn't get one single comment out of T.O. other than, "I'm not saying anything".  T.O. is amazing and like someone said on the blog..."Love him or hate him, he is an awesome receiver."

Yes, when he gets going he tends to seem a little cocky.  But he has the game to back it up.  People complain that he gets mad when he is losing but who doesn't??  And he celebrates like it is the first time when he wins or gets a touchdown.  WHy doesn't he have that right??  I have seen many fans do the same thing in a bar!  Success is something to celebrate and failure is something to get fired up about.

Go Dallas.

Witten..No. 1 Receiver in NFC?!?!?!
Dec 28, 2007 | 10:38AM | report this

Today is one of the greatest days in my life.  I was perusing the Dallas Cowboys website and came across an article proclaiming that Jason Witten (tight end) is the number one receiver in the NFC!!!  That is so freaking fantastic!  He is an amazing player and deserves all of it.

Just when I thought that this couldn't get any better, I come across a portion of the article that reads as follows, "Pause just a moment to let that sink in. First of all, that's 13 more than Owens had this season. That is two more than Randy Moss. That is six more than Tory Holt. That is 12 more than Donald Driver."  Two more than the precocious Randy Moss??  Thirteen more than T.O.??  I think I love Witten!  And Dallas has him for another 6 years?!?  That is only time to grow and improve.

Article also states that he is six catches away from being only the second toght end in NFL history to have 100 catches.  Good job Jason Witten.  You are an amazing player!

Go Cowboys!

Thoughts on Romo needs to drop the Romeo act

A response to Romo needs to drop the Romeo act

Okay...I will be the first to say that I cannot stand Jessica Simpson.  I am sure she is a great person and not really as dumb as the picture she has painted of herself in the media.  But seriously, I watched a few seasons of Newlyweds and saw how much she complained about Nick watching sports so much.  Like she was upset that he paid attention to something other than her and her shoes.

Tony Romo is an athlete.  It is his JOB to focus on sports.  It is his JOB to attend sporting events.  How is dumb blonde Jessica going to deal with that.  In the month they have been together, his rating has slowly dropped.  As a Cowboys fan, this is devastating.  Her fame will singel handedly take this team down.  He is so busy ducking paparazzi that he can't focus on the game.  And I'm sure that his locker room interviews are not entirely about the game.  I am sure that Ms. Jessica is brought up entirely too much.

Granted, I am not Dr. Phil.  I am not a relationship guru.  But I have been in a relationship and I know that anyone who deters you from what you want, is not worth the time of day.  I believe that Romo (and lots of other un-lucky in love stars need to stop dating other celebrities.  The mischief and mayhem of any outing is ridiculous.  You are just asking for trouble and distractions.  In a "normal" person, you have people who look up to you and are not in competition in your area of expertise.

Let's take Witten as an example.  Thanksgiving wsa the first time I ever heard he was married, let alone had a baby.  Outside of football, he leads a normal life with a normal person.  Their relationship does nothing to take away from the game, which is his job.  That is admirable.  Yes, I know it is hard for a star to date a no one but many people have done it.  All it takes is a little finesse.  But it is definitely do-able.

Thoughts on T.O. to Jessica Simpson: Back off my QB

A response to T.O. to Jessica Simpson: Back off my QB

I think the only reason this article was written was because it came out of T.O.'s mouth.  If it had been said by anyone else, nothing would have been mentioned.  The media is always all over him.  T.O. is a good player.  Yes, he runs his mouth but who doesn't?  Wasn't there a whole article about how Kitna ran his mouth last year...oh wait, it was brought up this season because a Dallas Cowboy responded.  Why does everyone hate the Cowboys?  Is it jealousy?  Is it envy?

Just get over it!  Let T.O. talk.  Talking trash is part of the game!  Fans do it all the time.  Let the players do it too!

Thoughts on Mitchell report implicates big names

A response to Mitchell report implicates big names

What is going on here?  Why can these muscle heads not get it together.  Apparently it shrinks your brain as well as your package.

I am a huge sports fan and idolize those that can play for a living.  I struggle everyday to make ends meet and supply things for my kids.  And here come these yahoos who get paid millions of dollars to take drugs and break records inadaquately.  If you truly want to be a hero in "America's Game", take the money you are making and spend it on a persoal trainer and nutritionist to help improve your game in a natural manner.  That takes a real man.  Stop trying to hold on to your youth through the route of desperation.

And to the wives and families of these players, shame on you too!  You cannot say you didn't know because no one is that sly.  Ignorance is bliss and now your name is just as shamed as theirs.  Shame on you and shame on everyone who endorses this.

MLB needs to take some action.  This calls for a cancelled season until all dirty players can be replaced with clean ones.  I will miss it but I would rather have some true talent to believe in.

Dallas Haters
Dec 10, 2007 | 8:41PM | report this

So all night I have been listening to men bash the Cowboys, mis-understand my postings, and point out their testosterone.  it is ridiculous.

I am certain that Dallas is my passion.  I believe JJ's article about Dallas being the best team in the NFL.  I am very proud of Witten, Barber, Witten, Owens, Newman, Jones, and all the other powerhouses that have blossomed in this new team.  People keep focusing on the past with the Cowboys but this team is brand new!  It might as well be the first year of the franchise.

I am a big enough person to recognize the accomplishments of the other teams in the glorious NFL, however, apparently asking some other fans to do the same is just UNCALLED FOR!

Have your team spirit because I will.  However, don't get all butt hurt when another fan, even if she is a girl, is able to back up her team with the same facts you are using.
