Habs All the Way!

Ok guys, I am not really trying to start any rumors here, that's not the point and i won't. But it's January, and this time around the season is in full blast, teams know their strenghts and weaknesses and start really thinking about the playoff run and their needs.

We all know that the Habs lack a 2nd line center, and we all know they have an extra Goalie and some extra D-men, so what should Gainey do to improve the team going into that stretch?

From all the rumors that i've heard, I disagree with trading for Forsberg, Fedorov and Comrie. I don't think those three really have much left in them. Maybe Comrie but i don't see him fitting with our roster.

Naslund i would love to have, the best trade possibility i have heard this season, and yes i don't mind sending Sourray in return plus a prospect and a pick. To tell you the truth, I love Surray and I know that we will miss him if we trade him, but let's face it; everytime the Guy gets in a fight, or falls on his arm or gets slashed or hit by a puck on his arm I get worried that his career might be over! I really think that we should trade him before he gets a final injury to that wrist! Hopefully he will never get injured, but seriously, the last one sidlined him for 1.5 years and took 3 operations to repair.

Now who needs a Goalie, montreal has 5 who can dress up for NHL teams in a year or two max! I don't see Aebischer staying, and won't be surprised if Jaroslav Halak or carey Price get shipped in a deal, dannis no. The only reason why is that Dannis has a bit of NHL experience and if we are to trade Aebs, then we need Dannis at least for a year or two.

Hit me up, what do you think will Gainey do?

Well first of all I don't see them making a trade with-in our division. So I think you can take Comrie out of the discussion.

I'm not familiar with Montreal's cap situation so I can't say really what they can afford and what person should move in order to get another person but if they are going to move a d-man for a center, a team full of centers are the Coyotes.

Personally I think the Habs have enough depth and with them shaking off the recent flu bug thats going around, I think you'll see them get back to their winning ways, consistently.

If the Sabres don't improve their special teams, the Habs have to be the favorite to represent the East in the Stanley Cup finals.

The cap makes it awfully hard to figure that out, or to make trades for that matter. Boyes with the Bruins would be a great pickup for center, but the Bruins know how well he played in the second half of the year last season so I can't see that one happening. I think Gainey will ride it out with what he has.

ABOUT ME

CHFEVER4EVER
Hello all, My name is Jorj aka Ninoz aka Jorjino aka Wolf aka Isolater, the last one only used in online poker. I have been following the Habbs for 15 years now, haven't missed a game nor trade nor gossyp since we won the 1993 cup. That season I lived one block away from the Old Forum on Tower Street and I was in the middle of the action, I was 19 and since, I haven't let go of my need for another similar experience. I have been involved in a lot of Habbs hockey since, majorly organising pools discussing rumors, analysing games etc... I also make a good living betting online sports and playing online poker, my other big hobby. I started this Blog because i like to give my opinion about my favourite team, and I like to have my opinion discussed. So your input is necessary....
