MENS BASKETBALL OLYPMIC NIGHTMARE
Jun 23, 2008 | 12:54PM | report this

What’s crack’n peeps? I’m laid back coasting through this work day, thanks for asking! If you’re like me, then this is your sports down time. I’m not a MLB fan so since the NBA is over for this season it’s nothing but the NFL Network right now. I can’t wait to get in some NFL training camp info and check out the prospects going in to this season. Browsing through the newspaper there isn’t much happening. OMG…UHHH GOOD GRIEF. Has anyone seen this Olympic means basketball team? Geezzz, I know we could have done better then this. Check it out:

Carlos Boozer

 Carmelo Anthony

 Chris Bosh

 Chris Paul

 Deron Williams

 Dwight Howard

 Dwyane Wade

 Jason Kidd

 Kobe Bryant

 LeBron James

 Michael Redd

 Tayshaun Prince

Did we do something wrong here? Apparently so, can you tell me WHY J Kidd is on this list? Was Steve Nash hurt? Man I can think of a few other players that would have made this team better than what I’m looking at. Okay dudes, chill…I’m not talking about Kobe, L James or D Wade. I’m not talking about CP3 or Deron Williams. For that matter I’m not even talking about D Howard. But come on peeps…you got to agree with me on J Kidd. What’s going on here? Yeah I’m no fan, he’s washed up. I didn’t care for him much when he wasn’t. See the list of players below and you tell me whether you think by adding these players and replacing a few on the team if you think we could have done better:

 S NASH

 K GARNETT

 J RICHARDSON

 D WEST

 A JAMISON

 A STOUDEMIRE

 R JEFFERSON

I’ll even through in a couple honorable mentions:

T MCGRADY

 K DURANT

I think we’re going to get hammered. Another bronze maybe, but no silver or gold.

BOOYOW OUT….PEACE

BEAT DOWN IN BOSTON
Jun 18, 2008 | 9:05AM | report this

THERE WAS A BEAT DOWN IN BOSTON LASTNIGHT… A BEAT DOWN, BEAT DOWN, BEAT DOWN … how else can it be better put. Yeah I could use some other language but uhh “ahem”. I’m trying to keep it clean. Yeah right! I love this; I know you Lakers fans are totally taken back, heart broken, just sick. But hey, in another 30 minutes there will be another fad for you all to follow out in LA so get over it.

Hey I’m not dissing the Lakers I was once a die-hard Lakers fan to the 5th power, but that wasn’t in the Kobe and Shaq era. That was back in the Magic, Worthy, Kareem, Wilks, and Scott days. The days when Laker fans knew that when thier team took the court that there would be no doubt that they would win. Hey, things change…players come and go. For me free agency sucks when it comes to keeping dynasties in tact and that goes for any of the big 3 sports organizations. But, in this case it certainly benefited the Celts.

I was really hoping the Lakers could push this to a game 7, I knew the odds were not in their favor but I was hoping anyway. There are no excuses, no one to blame…the Lakers had a better run then anyone thought they would have had at the beginning of this season. Next year they will be stronger when Bynum returns. I’m not going to get into what changes I feel the Lakers need right now, I’ll save that for later this week.

To be perfectly honest I didn’t think there was a team in the NBA that could deny Boston the Crown outside of Detroit and once Chauncey went down that thought went out the window along with Flip LOL. Can someone explain to me what happened lastnight? I really, really want to know. I mean what better terms can I come up with other than a BEAT DOWN? That was a good old fashioned back wood #### STOMPING. I don’t want to offend anyone, but the Lakers were GANG RAPED. LOL. Talk about WHO’S YOUR DADDY! Man I love this, now do you think anyone in the Lakers organization will lose their job? Is Phil going anywhere? Probably not, but I’ve yet to see him really coach a team. This year was probably his best year as a head coach. In all his other championships he didn’t have to do anything but collect a ring. Now Doc is getting a taste of that LOL.

Hey my hats off to the Celts, they had an awesome season. Congrats to KG, P Pierce and Ray Ray, you guys have had awesome careers and you deserved this more than any other players in the league. I hope you guys stay together to try it again next year. And NBA if they do stick around to do it again ummmm, to ease the pain please BYO-KY (that’s “bring your own KY”).

Thoughts on Scott voted NBA coach of year
Apr 30, 2008 | 3:47PM | report this

A response to Scott voted NBA coach of year

B SCOTT, B SCOTT...YEAH BOYYYY! No doubt, no doubt. Did anyone think it would be anyone else? Of course there were those out there, doubters and haterz. Boy I know the Nets hate they fired him dont you? They should have shelled Kidd instead. Goes to show you it's not always the coach and just how much the Nets know (look at them now LOL).

My probs to Scott, he truly was the most deserving of all the coaches out there. Dont even bring up Doc Rivers, I dont even know how he could have even been considered. My choices would have clearly been Scott, Cheeks, Adleman and Sloan. Just a few years ago everyone was running roughshot over the Jazz (remember). Look at'em now, one game away from the 2nd round. Cheeks has done a great job with the broken pieces he has had to put together. And Adleman has had to go half a season without THE MING and still manage to run off 22 straight at one point and get his team into the playoffs (not an easy feat to accomplish in the WEST).

As for Doc, hey you get no props for having possibly 3 NBA HALL OF FAMERS on the same team that was bought in the first place. All you have to do is just sit there, keep your mouth closed and check your direct deposit every week okay LOL, and if you let the Hawks win this first round series you'll have a new address LOL.

CONGRATS B...now lets take this to the next level and win NO a NBA Championship!

Thoughts on Mavs fire Johnson after early playoff exit

A response to Mavs fire Johnson after early playoff exit

Hey Hey...It's that time again. The hit squads out and so is another blunder by Mark Cuban. Can you believe this? Hey, maybe your not a Maverick fan but you dont need to be in order to see this is another bonehead move by the Mavs owner.

Let me lay it out for you:

1. He releases Steve Nash - Forgot about that did ya, let me refresh it some. Mr 2TIME, I said Mr 2TIME MVP. Because he didnt want to shell out a few mil. But then goes out and unloads half his team for a soon to be wheel-chair bound J Kidd.

2. He Trades his team for J Kidd - What a utterly stupid move. Yeah you heard me, Kidd isnt the player he use to be and even at that Devin was better than him anyway. You actually thought Kidd could handle Chris Paul? If you did then your brain-damaged.

3. He Fires the best coach his team has ever had - Yeah I said it. He fired Johnson because he wouldnt take the blame for all OF HIS (CUBAN) screw ups!

I hear you saying that the Mavs have underachieved. Well I say to that is this. Instead of Cuban going out and getting old has beens he should have looked to find a solid power forward. One that was young, and maybe he could have also added another guard to spell Harris in games. One that was young. Let me tell you people, the MAVS were alot better with the players they had then with what they got (J Kidd). It's not because I dont like Kidd. It's because it's obvious...you CAN'T WIN WITH HIM. Not in the west you cant. Look at all the major players in the West. Do you see any of them with old men at the point? I DIDNT THINK SO.

Cuban think about this: "BE A MAN, FALL ON YOUR SWORD". You have totally screwed up this team and if you think that your going to be any better without Avery your a fool. Well, your already that. Look dude, stick to what you know and let Donnie Jr. make the player personnel moves. I hope that Avery ends up somewhere in the West and eats your lunch. Instead of trying to find help for Dirk all you did was just kill this team. I mean you had already broke it's leg by releasing Nash (and the leg was healing, a small limp but it was healing), then you crippled it by trading half your team for a HAS BEEN and then you go out and shoot the team in the head and killing it by firing the best coach the Mavs has ever had.

For you Nelly fans he only coached offense no defense, that's why I standby Avery being the best coach the Mavs has ever had.

Cuba...FALL ON THE SWORD DUDE.

OFF FIELD ISSUES
Apr 17, 2008 | 2:26PM | report this

Hey Peeps! Here's a question for all of you. Do we as sports fans allow too much BS or should I say, do we ACCEPT too much BS from the major sports teams? Hey lets look at this. Im not a baseball fan anymore and havent been for years, but do you baseball fans ever think with the steriod issues and all the talk with congress that your being cheated by MLB? I mean you support your respective teams, you buy your favorite players jersey's and enroll your sons in little league in hopes they develop a love for the game like you and maybe one day they will buy you that big mansion you always wanted. Then there's Selig and his hinchmen that does nothing about steroid use in their sport. Say what you want but the punishment they try to implement is nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Then there's the NBA, heck you have ref's shaving points. Making bets on teams they are calling the games for. Giving betting info to mobsters. Good grief, how can you possibly sit there and not question a no call, or a game changing call in the last seconds of a close game that might have playoffs implications. What does the NBA do about it? Well to be honest, NOTHING!

Now lets get to the NFL. Your a GM, your wanting to draft this stud out of MEGA STATE U but he's had a few off field issues with the law or even possibly smoked a little gunja. Do you draft him? Better yet, your the owner of a team and you have players behaving badly but their mega stars on your team. Do you suspend them? Do you trade them. There are many things to consider when your catching flack from the fans that buy your tickets and are sick of the actions of your players. Likewise Im sure the other players on the team are sick of the nonsense of not knowing that they can depend on their teammates to actually be available on game day or the remainder of the season for that matter.

Maybe it's just me, but I've thought about these issues as Im sure you have also. But I guess sports is such a hot ticket that team owners and league officials dont mind turning a blind eye until the smoke clears. We're the smoke people and I say we should take a stand and let these leagues know we dont like what the problems that come along with what they promote.

SUMMER: LOVE IT? or HATE IT?
Apr 15, 2008 | 7:56AM | report this

Here it comes! Summer! Man it was just yesterday when I was witnessing a thorough @$$Whoopin of the Patriots and the Rockets were running off 22 in a row. To think I only have a little time before the draft (thank you Lord for the NFL Network), and a few more weeks for round ball. Then it's over. And then, And then...theres Roid-Ball. I dont care how many homeruns are blasted out the parks or how many no hitters are thrown. Roid-Ball has to be the most boring sport imaginable. How do you Roid-ball fans do it? Geez, every nite - every day, week after week and month after month it just seems that the #### just keeps going and going and going and going.

Hey, dont take offense because I called it Roid-Ball it's just you dont know who's juicing and who's not now a days do ya? I mean have you seen Pujol's lately LOL? Okay, look Im not a fan. When I was a kid I use to love the game, but to be honest that's when baseball was baseball. Im sure some of you readers know what Im talking about. Back when there were catchers like Thurman Munsun, Reggie Jackson, Kirk Gibson, The Goose, Wade Boggs, Catfish Hunter, Phil Neikro, Nolan Ryan, Dave Winfield, Tony Gwynn, Rod Carew, Kirby Puckett, Steve Carlton. These guys played with heart and I know this is only a short list but there's no way I could have listed them all. These guys brought their heart with them each and every game. There wasnt no juicing with them, and there was more integrity in the game back then as well.

You Roid Fans out there, if you dont stand up and let MLB know that your not going to put up with the #### their serving you now then you will forever have that tast of $&*# in your mouth. There's more drama off of the field then there is on it now a days. But, for you that are a generation or two behind me this #### is probably all you do know, so you were born with the $&*# already in your mouth LOL.

As for me my summers consist of alot of fishing on the weekends, at least until August.

COME ON NFL SPRING TRAINING
