There is a very famous picture of England's Terry Butcher with his head wrapped in a bandage with blood streaming down his face. I can't be certain but I think it was in the eighties and against Sweden. The picture has become iconic.
It seems to me that the McBride photo from Saturday is going to take on the same status.
