Bobby - what is your view on Sanchez? He did wonders for Norn Iron but will it transfer to the EPL? Also, what is the rational for firing previously successful coaches when they have a bad season? Lastly, players are always given an adjustment period reprieve yet manager seldom seem to be afforded the same grace. SAF has said he doesn't beleive he would have been around to see his success come in this day and age. It seems that without almost instant success(luck?) managers have no chance and clubs are only shooting themselves in the foot with the revolving door policy. Your thoughts?
SkySports News..Breaking News..Arsene Wenger hails new 'Super Super' signing.
"Well er, i feel that this player has super qualities. And he can be a super super duper(Pat can i have chili sauce with my super player please) player. He has great experience and i feel he wont drop physically."
His name Arsene?
"Titius Bramble".
Silence in the press room as stunned reporters are in shock of Arsene's new signing.
My view is that he is largely unproven. He had a fairly lengthy spell at Wycombe where they experienced some fantastic highs but in terms of the league he didn't achieve any sustained improvement. He certainly helped NI to some great one off results so there might be a pattern - great with one of games but not necessarily suited to the grind of league games.
Many have forgotten or are unaware that a significant number of United fans wanted Ferguson out. It's commonly accepted that a Cup win against Nottingham Forest in 1990 saved Fergie's job.
Firing a manager is often an easy option compared to dealing with what might be the real problems. As far as some fans are concerned the manager becomes a lightning rod and easy target. Having said that I think that a lot of clubs are to ready to go for a name in an attempt to placate the supporters instead of looking for the right person for the job.

Bobby l still feel a team in mls that gets thomas will have an assert he still has some pace and is a good winger come striker, do you see an epl team snatching him.
who is the best foreign coach in the ppriemieship wenger or mourinho bearing wenger has had 6 trophies in 3 years and wenger 7 in 11 years
With more and more privately held teams do you think there will be less bending to the will of the fans over the good of the team in this regard? I agree too many fans are fickle and many seem to need cooler heads making the right call.
Real Madrid must keep Capello, they absolutely need to have the same manager for 2 seasons consecutively, if only to assure other great managers.
-Recre Looks tough. Beckham should start on the bench and come on around the 67th.
-You wish Toronto would get Radzinski, he is still too good for that... unless they pay him. Can they?
Mornin ,all.......I think?!
My head hurts ,my insides hurt ,my everything hurts.Wish I could go back to yesterday and not do it again.........Apart from that bit where we won the cup!
l am in shock at fergie paying 17m pounds for a holdingg player based on one game at the world cup against portugal a team that had costina and deco suspended, l just feel that he is not worth that much, fergie should have spend that on a striker
Good rugby game on Setanta right now ,if anyone is interested.
Leicester v Wasps ,European cup final.
What a great weekend to be in London.
And I think Twickenham is a better stadium than the new Wembley!
Welcome to Gol TV triple header day. Also recovering from yesterday, though our breakfast party was strangely alcohol free.
Didn't want to wake up to Kenyon saying how excited he is about 2 more years watching Sheva fumbling, bumbling, rumbling, towards the end zone - and no big buys.
H14 I think you should be not just shocked but also delighted. A Man U team with both Carrick and Hargreaves? We can't wait. I hope they saved some money to replace Scholes and maybe Giggs who can't have another year left in them. Has to help Arsenal. Maybe even an Obi, Lampard, Ballack, Essien midfield will look inspired against that Man U set up.
Leicester 9-25 Wasps
Leicester denied the rugby treble ,and how ironic that after more than a hundred years ,Wasps decide to change their name to "London" Wasps ,now that they no longer play in London.
And a world record attendance for a rugby club match ,81,076.
I am no expert on rugby ,I just like to watch now and then ,but I do know that England has no chance in the upcoming World Cup ,New Zealand All Blacks first ,second and probably third ,if they where allowed to enter more than one team!
Okay ,no more rugby talk ,guess MasMaz is the only other one interested!
With Owen "the new Maka" Hargreaves signing for Man U ,allowing carrick to show more than he has so far ,as I believe he can ,and if they sign a "Drogba" of their own ,Man U will be tough to beat next season.
And this hair of TSD is not working!
Let that be a lesson to you of the dangers of drinking while winning cups!!
Having just watched last night`s Sky Sports News ,I can not believe that Ferguson can stand there with a straight face and say what he just did ,what a "copulating Richard cranium" ,to borrow GTOMKO`s term.
If Mourinho had come out with a statement like that ,he would get slaughtered for it in the press!
(Nothing against the Man U`s on the blog).
I lost whatever respect I had for Sir G&T yesterday too. No class, stupid comments.
BTW Ringo you really don't know the answer to my trivia question I asked the other day: What was the name of The Special Dog that found the World Cup? So there's an added question now ... Where did he find it? (no wikipedia allowed)
In March 1966 the world cup was stolen from a stamp exhibition and found by a dog named Pickles from Norwood ,South London ,according to "Chelsea FC..The Official Biography".
And ,No ,don`t know where he found it!..In the Arsenal trophy cabinet perhaps ,no one`s been in there for a while!
Welcome to your blog ,Bobby.....see what you have started!?
And seeing as you bring up fish suppers...I remember the first time I had Haggis and chips.....it was in Stranraer ,while waiting for a train back to London after a home international in Belfast.
And to my great surprise ,it was awesome ,I would say delicious ,but I can`t spell it!
Mas
I do need to get GolTV ,but our cable/internet bill is big enough as it is.
England has no chance at the RWC ,because the current team is ####!
Four years ago the team peaked at just the right time ,and most have now retired or are almost permanently injured ,Wilkinson.
And Woody ,a genius by the way ,is no longer involved.
Atleti
This is not bad....for the price!
The wife worked it out for me ,I knew I kept her around for a reason.
You have made me an Atletico Madrid supporter....Is it supposed to be in Chinese though?!
I give up ,the picture keeps freezing and hearing Chinese is only making me hungry.
And it looks like the other team from Espanyol has won the game!
Thanks ,anyway!
When you see Ronaldinho like this, when you see Messi, Deco, earlier Roberto Carlos, and even (and I can't believe I'm saying this) Beckham, it makes Kenyon's statement today: "I doubt we'll have big-name signings because I don't think we need it," completely idiotic. Maybe it's just coprorate speak cover-up that the Abramovich has lost interest in making Chelsea the best. Stopping half way like this doesn't seem to make sense, almost a waste of all the money spent.
What next? Who are three in and the three out? What next Titus Bramble?
... Meanwhile (sorry Atleti) the GolTV Geordie commentator Ray Hudson is a crack up.. I won't even type the score.

WOW!!
I think you have said it all.....You are a real ( that`s real ,not Re*l) ,football supporter!
Good luck next week.
And one more thing ,not that it will make you feel any better ,but...I went to Rotherham United one year in the old second division and saw us lose 6-0 ,and it was not a shock result at the time!
Wow- thanks for the help Atletico.
-Zambrotta is one slick player when he is on.
-So is Messi for that matter.
-Barca look like they are going on a roll.
