Half time
Jun 18, 2006 | 12:56PM | report this

This is a much improved performance from France. With Ribery dropped to the bench and Malouda operating mostly on the right it has opened up more space for Henry to operate in. Although he set up Henry’s goal it is still a bit of a mystery why Wiltord is starting ahead of Trezeguet or Saha.

Zidane is operating further up the field and that has helped. It looks as if France is maybe playing a 4-3-1-2 system. They might need another goal as the Koreans will just keep coming at them. Lee Chun-soo is looking particularly dangerous at times.

Should be 2-0...that Veira header was across the line. Maybe one day FIFA will approve video replay.

I thought Ribery added some spark to the French attack in the last game. Maybe we'll see him in the second half. Surprised that Trezeguet has not seen any action yet.

Yes, that ball was definately over the line.... Why dont they use the technology used in tennis, it's not the first time this has happened at a WC, let alone other competitions? The technology has been around for decades.

France has been too relaxed this half and now they've paid. Sloppy marking leads to a South Korea equalizer.

1-1...GAME ON !

Brilliant stuff, the S Koreans have skill, but are kind of out muscled... Think Barthez was caught out a little...

Edit: Does Zidane not miss the next game after that yellow (which wasnt)?

Zizou will be out as will Abidal both have two yellows now.
