Right now its march 9th and we don’t have a closer. does anyone have any idea’s who are closer is gonna be ?? does theo or Terry Francona know ?? It was reported The Providence Journal suggests that Mike Timlin is “likely” to fill the Red Sox’s closer opening day. How could this be mike timlin has yet to pitch this spring. Boston Herald reported today that he is being shut down again for another week with a back problem . For us redsox fans we know that the redsox like to take pages out of the Bill Belichick book and dont talk about injuries. I wont be surprised if mike is in the DL the start of the season.  and i dont beleive our closer is on this team right now.  Jonathan Papelbon will not be in the bull pen this year even though most sports writers out there are saying he will be the closer before julys all-star game.  Sorry fokes but he is going to be your 3rd starter in the roation. I beleive that Theo will make a trade for either Chad Cordero or Brad Lidge . to guys that are proven but both on teams that would give them up for the right price. If its Cordero look for willy mo to be part of a trade and if its Lidge it might only take starting pitcher prospect or a relief pitcher i wont rule out Hansen being that guy. or maybe Delcarmen. I would like to hear from Theo on why he pasted up on Eric gange  even if you had him for a year, it’s still better then what you have right now. So lets say Theo does not make any moves and he sticks with someone in the pen …. who ?? my choice would have to be Julian Tavarez why ? he was the best pitcher out of the pen last year besides Papelbon. and he should have the first shot   and if he cant do it put Jon Lester in there for the year like you did with Papelbon and see what he can do he might just surprise us
