Boston College Will Be Number 1 In Every Poll Next Sunday
Oct 21, 2007 | 2:58PM | report this

On this blog in my pre-season prediction:

"BC is ranked higher than at any time in its history with a win at Virginia Tech!"

Make no mistake, BC has every advantage over VT with talent, experience, a high powered offense, a solid defense that can hopefully smother this VT running game and force them to pass, and then bury them in a blowout!

BC now has "No Excuses!"

The Road to the French Quarter has been paved.

Penn State is due for a Joe Paterno special. I thought Michigan State was a lock with 18 1/2 and almost won.

This Penn State offense is clicking and hot. Penn State plays tough defense.

Ohio State shall lose on Saturday.

Then, Boston College, the Greatest University on earth will be number 1 in so many Polls next Sunday, that BC 74 will be forced to take applications for my new Presidential Campaign from all "qualifed" cheerleaders and Victoria Secret models.

Enjoy!

Hold on tight man! Blacksburg is a bad place. If the Hokies don't get ya, the referees will! Mark my words on this one and keep on eye on those non-reviewable calls.

Good luck!

I'm a big BC fan and a huge Matt Ryan fan but before getting to carried away I want to see how they finish the season they have a pretty good shot at an undefeated season if they can win in Blacksburg. Regardless of the outcome, one thing is certain Coach Jags is definitly an upgrade.

Go Eagles

At vt, at maryland, at clemson! thats a pretty tough three road games, and if miami shows up, that could spell trouble for bc.1, maybe 2 losses. Bc is a good team, but at this point not a top 5 team. Had trouble with notre dame, and SC with a few injuries, handled them pretty easy, and I am not sure at this point if SC is a top 10 team! We wont know until after oregon. But, good luck anyway!

Hmm, you might be getting ahead of yourself here.

It's in Blacksburg against a tough defense. You don't want your first real game of the season to come against a tough defense.

With OSU playing Penn State and ASU playing Cal, those are also decent teams and could cause some debates as to who is number one if there aren't any upsets.

I personally think OSU, BC, and ASU will lose this week but that's just me.

Good luck on Thursday.

LOOK OUT!!!!!!!! WHAT FOR??? The Thursday/Friday night jinx that started back in week # four! Since week four , (5) five of the higher ranked teams and/or undefeated teams has come out on the losing end of a thursday or friday night game, to be followed by a shake up Saturday with other teams in the top 20 losing. Will this thursday continue the trend that was started back in week four? Jinx no jinx? We will see thursday night!

BC started the season with 3 conference games against Wake Forest (1st game), Georgia Tech (3rd game) which other BCS team started off the season in that manner?
BC is a legitimate Top contender this year. Another game was a very emotional meeting between the players and the coach that skipped town. They played very well. Don't make the mistake of thinking about the past. The new Coach, Jags, promised fun and that we are having.

Keep Dreamin. Ohio State may lose, and they have hundreds of times. It's easy to get a big head. I don't think the Buckeyes should be number one. Do you think your team can beat USC, Oregon, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State.

I'm just saying eating crow sucks.

I do admire you as a blogger.

We only have to beat them once in New Orleans!

I am more worried about Clemson and Maryland. Beating them 6 games in a row, on the road, final home games and Senior Day is brutal.

BC's schedule is tougher than you think.

We are gonna find out Thursday, since Bc with 24 Seniors and much better skill players -finally--than VT has to end the sloppiness.

I think BC will finally get a test this week. VaTech has the best defense BC has faced to date. Only GT (#9) has a defensive ranking above 50 out of all the opponents you have faced thus far. Before you start looking up stats, OSU hasn't played an tough defenses either. In fact one of their opponents (Minnesota) is dead last in 1-A. They have yet to be truly tested as well.

I don't like VaTech, and LSU thumped them, so if BC is a legit top five team, so should they. I don't think BC will win, but I am pulling for the Eagles.

In my mind the best possible title game match-up would be BC v. OSU. Everybody would #### & moan for eternity...it would be a beautiful thing. Plus, one of gets to be National Champs!!

So, keep winning and we will see you in new Orleans.

Go Bucks!!!

BTW, nobody that gives up 400 yards and 31 points to Indiana is going to beat OSU.

Jusy saying....
