It's wierd. I keep reading in the Nascar posts about how race fans are all #### with no teeth. All of them are southern, live in trailers, and have bad grammar. Hmmm. I know that I am a race fan, I have quite a few teeth (32 actually), I live in a pretty decent house on the corner, my grammer is ok (except when I'm mad and I use a few words that aren't real nice), and I live just about as far north as you can get. I am 25 miles from the Canadian border and wayyyyy far west (Montana). I know a lot of race fans here in Montana. Nascar is for everyone, whether a #### or not. If ya gotta be a #### to like racing, where do I sign up?? I'm actually jealous of everyone who lives close to a track. Once a year my husband and I choose a race to go to and run away from our kids (who also like racing by the way) and enjoy race weekend. Next year will be the night race in Phoenix. Our closest track is Las Vegas, but put us in Sin City and someone better bring bail money! lol, jk. Saying all race fans are unintelligent and poor is like saying all football fans are big, dumb, and use steroids. lol. And I like football and those don't apply to me either. Anyway, I don't fly a confederate flag in my yard but I do have a Dale Jr. and a Dale Sr. one! You can love Nascar and be anywhere! And lots of people do! I've been trying to convince the government in Montana to build a track here, but unfortunately if all 950,000 residents in Montana sign it, they say thats not enough votes. lol. I live in a tiny town, population 1500, and besides me and my husband, I see a lot of race fans here! If there is a good percentage of race fans here in just this little town, out in the middle of the mountains, I can imagine what the rest of the nation, maybe the world, is like. Oh, did I mention that I am also intelligent??? Or at least I like to think so. I've finished college with a double major- Accounting and Business Management. Then I decided I liked health care too and I am a certified EMT! Or maybe I just did that cuz I was hoping we'd get a track and I'd get in free with a med crew. LMAO...... we can all dream!! Sorry everyone, had to vent. I hate it when other drivers' fans have to trash another driver and their fans. I really don't like the Busch brothers but I don't leave nasty comments insulting driver and fans. I don't even bother reading too much of the article..... I just skip to more important things...... LIKE DALE JR.
Hope the venting helps; I have friends in many states (not southern!) who are Dale, Jr. fans. I myself would never never imply that Jr. fans are "just ####" or any of the other stupid comments you're hearing. And I'm first and foremost a Gordon fan; I have your problem--I'm sick of being at a race to see Jeff and having a four-time champion booed! What's the point? I think Jr. is a really great kid and I was just going to add a #8 fan to my flagpole, but . . .
You just have to ignore the ignorant, and be patient until 2008, where things should really interesting! Go, Jr!!!!
Hmm, strictly geographically speaking here, wouldn't Alaska be as far North (and West!) as you could be? :P
You're not alone with the 'Southern' thing, Jr8....I think most of the people who say it don't have any interest in motorsport and are just looking to get a rise out of those who do like it.
i wouldnt call "all" nascar fans #### just a fair majority of them, i just dont understand how anyone could watch 5 hours of cars driving around in a circle, even while hammered
Yes Tez, Alaska has me beat, and so does Washington state. I was just explaining to all of the people that say racing is just a southern, red-neck sport that even those in small, northwest communities like NASCAR too.
I am proud to be a ####. But that's because I know they are people who originally emigrated from the Scottish lowlands who wore red cloths around their neck to show they were part of the protestant movement.
Now my mom and dad are cousins and besides that my grandmother was her own cousin. My teeth suck pretty bad from unflorinated water we got from the well, but you can't tell because I make dentists rich men. And I like football. So, I am a #### in many ways. But I don't boo athletes or throw stuff at them!
Ha Ha 14Falcons. You know what I mean about putting people into their little boxes. I hate it and always like to point out that there is always an exception to any "rule". Including what sort of people watch racing. I don't throw things at anyone either. Around my part of the country if you throw something at someone they are liable to throw it back!
Well you jest hit a nerve thea gal.. I ain't got my teeth, lost em in a racin wreck. But I did git me some mighty purity store bought ones that the doc planted in my jaws for a bunch of possum skins.
Yep I got me one of those fancy trailers sorta.Only thing it is all together as one piece. Theyins call them Airstream motor coaches and I use it for travelin the roads looking for a race. Even gota decal on it with a rebel flag from our high school logo.Yep. even has inside plumbin.
Yep we got a trailer we live in when we git home to Flaridy. Sorry, Ain't got no house. The salesman said it was a modulated home. They took thuh wheels ofin it so we caint move it down to the holler. They did put it up on sticks at the beach sos we kin ride out the hairycanes when they git up here an not git flooded out..
Oh yeah, we got one of those hitched up houses in a row up in Yankie land and wes got to pay dues on it every year. Don't figer why its called association dues cuz we bought it out right from the sales guy..Yep its got inside plumbin too. Makes things nice in the winter..
i'd like to tell you things are good up north too. my neighbors have license plate that say "luv 8". i wonder if they have to change them. but even though i live north of the border i think you may still live north of me. making sense? anyway i learned a long time ago not to boo, just go out and beat 'em.

I am a 36 year old woman from a very small town in Montana. I am a huge Nascar fan. People ask who my driver is and I say Earnhardt, whether Sr. or Jr. I love em both. I have so much interest in the races and drivers. My car has #8 and #3 decals all over it. So does my husbands. Our sons play sports all school year - Football, Basketball, and Tennis. Our family loves most all sports. If you are interested in what I do for a living- I am a "Certified Memorialist" and a graphic designer. In easy terms- I make headstones and also signs. Building signs, car decals and signage, cabinet signs etc. etc. Being a graphic designer and working with vinyl you can imagine what our vehicles look like!! Anyway, Everyone have a good day. lol
