With a convincing win tonite, the Celtics put to bed the notion that they can't win on the road. Boston regained home court advantage with a bigtime defensive effort and by dominating in the paint . Detroit has no answer for the Big Ticket, who had his way with every one the Pistons sent his way to the tune of 22-13-6. Kendrick Perkins was a force with 12pts. 10 rbs. and stellar defensive play. The Celtics outrebounded the Pistons 44-28. Bostons bench played much better than game two.Garnett and Allen picked up 2 quick fouls in the first and the bench players, notably Posey and Cassel stepped up and squashed the only real threat made by the Pistons all night. Detroit is in trouble if they don't find a way to slowdown KG. This one had to hurt Detroits psyche, not because they lost but how they lost. If the Celtics don't hit the cruise control in the fourth quarter, they win this game by 30.
Just gonna throw in my 2 cents here but, dosn't it kind of negate the whole "home court advantage" thing when you boo the home team and the leave halfway through the 3rd quarter. Nice going, you bunch of fair weather marys. nothing like home cookin..............NOT!
Please do enjoy the music player I've installed. I tried to put something everyone. If you don't find anything to your liking make a suggestion and I'll try to accomodate.
Speaking for Detroit fans, I think the booing came in part because they are getting tired of this team giving less than 100% effort every game. The slogan here is "Going to work", but tonight, they didn't show up. And after two successive failures in the Eastern Finals, the Pistons can't afford a similar result. I liked the post, and you make a valid point about the booing, but these fans can't stand the non-effort more than the loss.
I don't think I had as big a problem with the booing as I did with them walking out that early and it wan't just a few. Anyways if Detroit doesn't find a way to slow down KG they're going to hear a lot of booing
I can't believe Chauncey Billups didn't bring it tonight. That's two out of the three games that he has looked nothing like himself. Amazing, shocking, and baffling all at the same time.
Instead of doing his job and forming a two headed monster along with Stuckey, he's disappearing slowly into the night as the impressive young rookie slowly takes his place in the rotation.
Think about it... Let's say Chauncey never recovers and stinks it up the next two games and Boston wins in five. This may possibly turn out to be his final go-run with the team.
And if happens this way and Chauncey gives up his position to Stuckey, imagine Billups going to Cleveland next year to team up with former teammate Ben Wallace and the King. Then the Cavs sign Ron Artest.
I can help but dream of a potential Cavs championship lineup:
Dizz, Now that would be a very formidable Cavs team
but I'm not ready to call Chauncy done in detroit yet. As for Stuckey, He looks like the real deal I love his game he's fearless

Dizzle has predicted the Pistons to win the East for awhile, I've been arguing it will be the Celts with him for months...
J-D, the Billups hamstring injury is really tough. I know, I've been suffering from mine for 2 months, and I keep tweaking it since I don't want to take the time out to let it heal. What's more of an issue is Tayshaun's disappearance, if he continues to stink there's no hope for the Pistons (which is what I've been saying all along...
54full,
Enjoyed your music variety, especially Marley and Steel Pulse, but I'd prefer some (lesser known, please) Hendrix tunes to the derivative Robin Trower.
Man, I hope the Celtics have gotten the message, I was afraid they really HAD peaked too early!

The Celtics are finally showing what they're capable of doing. What I find somewhat surprising is the very fact that they've played at such a high level during the regular season. Then the slump begins in the postseason. But I feel that Rivers ought to have seen the plight that his team was going through.
It'd appear that he's finally begun to see the light !

NBAISTHEWORST: You're right. If Prince doesn't maintain his consistency the Pistons will have a hard time beating Boston.
That's why I said, Boston has their Big Three. Detroit has their Big Three with Billups, Sheed, and Rip. But if Prince plays consistency, it's a Piston Fantastic Four. Tayshaun is the difference maker in this series.
I still believe Detroit takes it in seven. We'll see...
For what it's worth I still believe that the play of Billups'll predicate how far the Pistons'll go. If he's not physically up to it then the likes of Hamilton, Prince and Rasheed Wallace will have to step up their game to a higher level.
I'm a rabid boston sports fan.
Pats,Sox,Celt s and will support the Bruins again when Jeremy Jacobs is playin ice hockey in HELL.
Also a HUGE! M.M.A fan especialy UFC and PRIDE.
